Martha Isom Lambert
Martha Isom Lambert, 84, of Iuka died Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at the Southern Magnolia Estates in Iuka. Mrs. Lambert was born in Corinth on July 25, 1928. She was a lifetime member of the Iuka Church of Christ, where she was loved by all the members.
Visitation is scheduled for 5 until 8 p.m. today, April 19, 2013, at the Iuka Church of Christ. Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m., Saturday, April 20, 2013, at the Iuka Church of Christ, officiated by Lance Foster and Brad Dillingham. Interment will follow in Belmont City Cemetery. Pallbearers include Capt. Jerome Hodge, Greg Enlow, Dr. Jim Perkins, Dwight Pharr, Billy Rainey and Rick Owens. Honorary pallbearers include Coy Daily, Bob Wimbish, Clifford Rast, Cotton Wade, Dr. Dean Draper, Dr. Bobby King, Dr. Al Flannery, Mikey Shea and Johnny Biggs. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka is entrusted with arrangements.
Survivors include a son, Robert E. Lambert, II (Cynthia) and their children, Samantha, Rebekah, Bryant and Kyler.
She is also survived by a daughter, Lisa Lambert Nunley (Scott) and their children, Scott Nunley II (Michelle), Ken Nunley (Jeana), and their grandsons, Garrett Nunley (Carly) and Alex Nunley.
Additionally, she is survived by her twin sister, Mary Isom Presson (Everett); two special sisters-in-law, Mildred Isom and Jean Lambert Grissom; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. “Bob” Lambert; her parents, Byrd Bryant and Lillie Paysinger Isom; six brothers, Leon Isom (Girneal), Burt Isom (Mildred), Clyde Isom (Ruby), Will Isom, Howard Isom and Frank Isom (JoAnn).

Tina Witcher
SALTILLO – Tina Yvonne Witcher, 45, died Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born in Okolona on Jan. 6, 1968. She was a 1986 honor graduate of Okolona High School. She received her degree in accounting from the University of Mississippi and worked as an accountant for 25 years with BancorpSouth. She also founded and co-owned Skybox with her husband in Saltillo. She was of the Church of Christ faith. She was a member of the Tupelo Ladies Civitan Club and was extremely involved in local charities including Meals on Wheels and the local coat drive. She was a member of the FWI (Financial Women International). A very compassionate animal lover, her pets included Eli, Abby, Lily, Bella, Josie, Mickey and Daisy.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at The Saltillo Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Bro. Troy McNutt and the Rev. Tim Green officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.
Survivors include her husband of 22 years, Robby Witcher of Saltillo; mother, Joy Palmer of Saltillo; father, Larry Hall (Patricia) of Okolona; sister, Christi Whitmon of Mooreville; brother, Phillip Hall (Ashley) of Pontotoc; paternal grandmother, Arlene Hall of Okolona; stepbrother, Tim Jenkins of Pontotoc; stepsister, Emily Carnathan (Robbie) of Okolona; aunts, Jackie Ellis (Terry) of Saltillo, Judy Brewer of Pontotoc, Jill Hurley (Scot) of Amory and Melinda Simmons of Houlka; uncles, Ronnie Harper (Penny) of Louisiana and Jerry Hall (Sue) of Okolona; two brothers-in-law, Ricky Witcher and Rusty Witcher (Amber), both of Tupelo; mother-in-law, Betty Witcher of Saltillo; father-in-law, J.N. Witcher of Tupelo; nieces, Ella and Kelly; nephews, Austin, Landon, Zack, Josh, Brody, Colton, Brandon, Tate and Tyler; and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Woodrow Hall, Darlene Harper and Leroy Nolte; aunt, Brenda Jolly; sister-in-law, Gail Witcher; and brother-in-law, Randy Witcher.
Pallbearers will be Chad Bishop, Buddy Wayne Haynes, Lloyd Lawrence, Jay Shannon, Lee Dulaney, Rod Counce and Jim Thomas.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today and continue from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the Saltillo Funeral Home.

Ralph Vance
MEMPHIS – Ralph Ford Vance, 57, died Monday, April 15, 2013, at Baptist Hospital East in Memphis. He was born Jan. 15, 1956, in Ripley to Lassie Mae Carroll. He was a member of St. John Baptist Church in Ripley. He attended Ripley High School and later joined the National Guard. A hard worker all his life, he worked at American Biltrite for 35 years, where he became a supervisor. He later earned his CDL license and became a truck driver. In 2006 he began working for the Dollar Tree Corp. He was a dedicated father and loving husband who always put his family first.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at St. James Church of God in Christ in Ripley. Elder Stephen Hoyle will officiate. Burial will be in St. Rest Cemetery in Ripley. Foster and Son Funeral Home of Ripley is in charge of the arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Vance; two daughters, Sadie Vance and Shunnica Ayers; one grandson, Cliftavian Davis; brothers, James (Lou), Billy Joe and Joe Steven; sister, Barbara (John); one aunt, Clara McKinzie; six sisters-in-law and five brothers-in-law, including Lawrence Ayers; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Laddie Mae Carroll; a son, Untawun Vance; and a brother, Neil Vance.
Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. The body will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to service time.

Dorothy Prather
TIPLERSVILLE – Dorothy Lee Prather, 67, died Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at her home. She was born March 28, 1946, to John Lee and Virginia Davis Gunn in Tippah County. She was a member of her church choir and the Heroines of Jericho. She assisted her husband in the ministry.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bethlehem M.B. Church with Pastor James Howell officiating. Burial will follow in Ruckersville Cemetery at Falkner. Foster and Son Funeral Home of Ripley is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her husband, Rev. L.W. Prather; five children, Dotty (Edward) Hines and Thressa Bell of Tiplersville, Doris Prather and David (Monica) Prather of Ripley, and Travis Bell of Greenwood; four sisters, Daisy Braddock, Lillian Pipkins, Clarice Manzanti and Mary Ruth (Lavone) Luster; three brothers, Houston Gunn, Lelon (Mary) Gunn and Gerald Gunn; a special Aunt Bill; 18 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three children, Lisa, Jimmy and Anthony.
Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. The body will lie in repose one hour prior to service time.

Mary Jean Pounds
OKOLONA – Mary Jean Pounds died Friday, April 12, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born Feb. 11, 1944, to Middie L. Pounds and Clifford Enos in Plantersville. She graduated from Sims High School. She enjoyed reading her Bible, working in her flower garden. She loved people and never met a stranger. She was employed by Aircap Manufacturing for 20 years and later worked at Nettleton Primary School’s cafeteria for 12 years until retirement. She accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and joined Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church and later joined Springhill Missionary Baptist Church.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Springhill M.B. Church in Nettleton with Pastor Johnnie Jointer officiating. Burial will follow in Springhill Memorial Gardens in Nettleton. Fields Funeral Home of Okolona is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her daughter, Sheaneter Pounds (Frank) of Nettleton; granddaughters, Shalisa Pounds (Dejuan Lowe) and Shontel Pounds (Nathaniel Ruff), both of Nettleton; and eight great-grandchildren, Sha’Tierra Pounds, Laquitta Pounds, Andrew Pounds, Va’Shawn Pounds, Cortavian Pounds, Tytionna Penro, Christopher Pounds and Jar’Davius Pounds, all of Nettleton.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Troy Thomas
TUPELO – Troy Thomas passed away Saturday, April 13, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born June 14, 1941, in Shannon to the Rev. Marshall and Beria Cockett Thomas. He was a member of Rising Star M.B. Church and a retired employee of the Tupelo School System. He enjoyed so much in life – his family, the community and socializing with the people in his community and his former Elks members. He had a great appreciation of fashion for him self and others. He had a very smooth personality and was slow to anger.
His Life Celebration Service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Rising Star M.B. Church with the Rev. Melvin Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at Porter’s Memorial Park. Grayson-Porter’s Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mary Louise Thomas; one son, Andre’ (Debi) Thomas; two grandchildren, Zachary Thomas and Braxton Thomas, all of Tupelo; his mother-in-law, Luna Walker of Nettleton; two brothers-in-law, Larry Walker and Eldridge Walker, both of Detroit, Mich.; one sister-in law, LaShunda Holman (Cecil) of Tupelo; a special cousin, Doris Kent of Beloit, Wis.; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Sedric Thomas and Milton “Doc Thomas.
Viewing will be from 3 to 6 p.m. today at the J.W. Porter Chapel. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to service time on Saturday.

TUPELO – Velma A. Betts, 66, died Saturday, April 13, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was born Feb. 27, 1947, in Lee County to James Betts and Lizzie Cherry Betts. She was a member of New Salem M.B. Church in Pontotoc.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at New Salem M.B. Church with the Rev Carl Shack officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Agnew & Sons Funeral Home of Verona is in charge of arrangement.
Survivors include two daughters, Shelia (Kevin) Montgomery and Rita (Ty) Baker; seven sons, Kenneth Betts, Eddie (Vanessa) Ivy, Tyrone Betts, Cornelius (Comisky) Ivy, Henry (Linda) Betts, Charles (Justine) Betts and Richard Ivy; three sisters, Emma Pannell, Roberta (Willie) McKinney and Faye Betts; six brothers, Willie (Pearlean) Betts, Henry Betts, Curtis Betts, Herbert Betts, Willie “Pookie” Betts and Lee Earnest Betts; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sibling, Lueanna Carruthers, Cora Long, Laura Beene, Agnes Betts and John A. Betts.

HOLLY SPRINGS – Clayton Falkner, 79, died Friday, April 12, 2013, at his home in Holly Springs.

Tyrone Thompson Sr.
VERONA – Tyrone Thompson Sr., 55, died Monday, April 15, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born on Jan. 24, 1958, in Chickasaw County to William Henry and Joella Thompson.
He is survived by his mother, Joella Thompson; one son, Tyrone (Alilah) Thompson Jr.; fiancée, Kerry Traylor; grandchildren, Tilar Ty’ron Thompson, Myles Thompson, Darius Thompson, Khaywon McCoy, Brandon McCoy, Nada Thompson, Mikiyla Badie, Brooklen McCoy and Cypres McCoy; great-grandchild, Malachi McCoy; brother, Jackie Eugene Thompson; sisters, Henry Ella (Larry Sr.) Smith and Brenda (Daniel) Jenkins.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Henry Thompson; brothers, William Edward Thompson and John Willis Thompson; and sister, Lillie G. Thompson Ward.

Berry Davis
BOONEVILLE – Berry Neal Davis, 71, died Monday, April 15, 2013, at his home. He was born March 2, 1942, to L.B. and Louise Alston Davis. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was an avid collector.
Services were Thursday, April 18, at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Tony Brown officiating. Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park.
He is survived by one daughter, Donya Davis of Baytown, Texas; one stepson, Anthony Morrell of Pachuta; one sister, Ann (Roy) Hamilton of Daphne, Ala.; one brother, Raymond T. Davis; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Henry Davis; his parents; and a brother, J.W. “Tim” Davis.

Thelma Parker
TREMONT – Thelma Jean Parker, 55, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2013. She was born Aug. 5, 1957, to James “Frank” Cooper and Ona Hazel Annette Williams Cooper. She was a member of Tremont Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, writing and fishing. She was an employee of Hickory Hill before becoming disabled. She dearly loved her grandchildren and the light of her life for 39 years, her husband, Mike.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Senter Funeral Home in Fulton with Mike Deaton officiating. Burial will be in Keyes Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Mike Parker of Tremont; son, Michael (Brandy) Parker of Tremont; daughter, Jennifer Caples of Fulton; sisters, Barbara (Donald) Kirk of Fulton, Carolyn (James) Brown of Pontotoc, Anita Starkey of Fulton, Deborah (John) Davis of Saltillo; grandchildren, Madison Parker, Evan Parker, Caleb Caples, Parker Caples and Shyann Caples; stepgrandchildren, Raena Lee and Roman Lee; her mother-in-law, Virblene Parrish of Tishomingo; and her best friend, Sandy Thompson.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

Renae Kizer
ETTA – Renae Young Kizer, 58, died Friday, April 12, 2013, at Sanctuary Hospice House following an extended illness. She was born Jan. 1, 1955, in Ripley to Reetus Young and Elizabeth Reeves Young. A resident of the Pinedale community in Tippah county, she attended Ripley High School and earned her real estate license in four states, working many years as a realtor for time share companies in Florida and Nations Realty. She enjoyed baking and spending time with her family. She was of the Baptist faith.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be at 5 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Assembly of God Church in Ripley with Bro. Alex Harris officiating. Visitation will be from 4:30 p.m. to service time. Holland Funeral Directors Tupelo Chapel is entrusted with arrangements.
Survivors include the father of her children, Steven Kizer of Etta; two children, Michael Kizer and Elizabeth Kizer, both of Etta; one brother, Stanley Young (Lane) of Ripley; one sister, Deborah Young Brooks of Ripley; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Michelle and Amanda Tigrett; two sisters, Brenda Thompson and Rita Dykeman, and one brother, Reetus Young Jr.

SUWANEE, Ga. – Tamer Lou Marion Mosley, 84, formerly of Oxford, died Tuesday, April 9, 2013, in Suwanee, Ga.

James Sandlin
FULTON – James Ray Sandlin, 68, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2013, at Sanctuary Hospice House. He was born June 10, 1944, to Ray T. Sandlin and Mavis Christian Sandlin. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with children and grandchildren. He was a deacon at Dorsey Baptist Church. He drove for Mueller Copper Tubing for 23 years and Walmart Transportation for the past 15 years.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Senter Funeral Home in Fulton with the Rev. Danny Rushing and the Rev. Jerry Estes officiating. Burial will be in Itawamba Memorial Garden.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Sandra Sandlin of Fulton; daughters, Melissa (Duane) Cayson of Fulton and Alicia Louder of Greer, S.C.; a son, Joey (Lynette) Sandlin of Mooreville; a granddaughter, Samantha Crumb of Pickens, S.C.; grandsons, Frankie Crumb of Pickens, S.C., Zech Sandlin of Greenville, S.C., Austin Sandlin of Saltillo, Clay Cayson of Fulton, Cody Cayson of Fulton; brother, Steve (Vickie) Sandlin of Tuscumbia, Ala.; and sister, Johnnie Chase (Randy Pannell) of Dorsey.

THAXTON – Mary Louise Curtis, 83, died Thursday, April 18, 2013, at Pontotoc Extended Care. She was born March 8, 1930, to Newton Quay and Florence Rudell Gooch in Pontotoc County. She was a lifelong resident of Thaxton. She was member of Thaxton United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and was an avid fan of John Wayne She spent many years caring for children of others.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Thaxton United Methodist Church. Bro. William Montgomery will officiate. Burial will be in Thaxton Cemetery. Glenfield Funeral Home of New Albany is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include four sons, Nickey Curtis (Nan), Breck Curtis (Charlotte), Guy Curtis andTodd Curtis (Shellie); three daughters, Dianne Johnson (Fred), Patti Jo Blackburn and Natalie Curtis; sister, Shelby Ann Griffin (Barnell); sister-in-law, Betty Ann Washington; brother-in-law, Dawson Curtis (Shirley); and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cultus Dalton Curtis; her parents; brothers, Quay Dennis Gooch and William Dean Gooch; infant daughter, Betty Joyce Curtis; and great-grandson, Ayden Tuff Tyson.

Margaret Langley
UNION – Margaret Burt Langley, 93, died Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at her residence after an extended illness. She was born on July 16, 1919, in Itawamba County to Tracy and Mamie Roebuck Burt. She was a lifelong resident of the Union Community. She was a former employee of Rees Mfg. in Nettleton and a Methodist.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Union Cemetery. Tony Dickerson, Wendell Robinson and Jimmy Young will be speaking at the service. Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Nettleton will be in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include one daughter, Faye Payne of Plantersville; two sisters, Frankie Estes of Tupelo and Christine Plunkett of Nettleton; one brother, Lee Hollis Burt of Nettleton; one granddaughter, Amy Kent (Paul) of Plantersville; one great-granddaughter, Beth Wiygul of Plantersville; and one great-grandson, Bubba Wiygul of Plantersville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, A.H. “Nook” Langley; her parents; two sisters, Grady Lou Moore and Earlene Blake; one brother, Stacy Burt; and one son in law, Bobby Joe Payne.
Pallbearers will be her nephews.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. today and will continue from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.

Mary Cummings
MEMPHIS – Mary Cummings, 89, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2013, at her home in Memphis. She was born Feb. 2, 1924, in Marietta. She was a longtime active member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. During World War II, she worked for Fischer Aircraft in Memphis.
She is survived by two daughters, Cheryl Cummings Stegbauer (William Stegbauer) and Patti Cummings Blassingame; three grandchildren, Jennifer Blassingame Hughes, David Stegbauer and Scott Stegbauer.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Ira Cummings.
Visitation and reception will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Memphis Funeral Home. A private graveside service for family members will be held at Forest Hill Cemetery South.

GOLDEN – Evelyn Fancher Cashion, 92, died Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at Tishomingo Manor Nursing Home in Iuka. She was born Oct. 28, 1920, in Tishomingo County. She was a member of Golden Chapel United Methodist Church.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Golden Chapel United Methodist Church with Bro. Bobby Hankins, Ron Deaton and David Conley officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Red Bay, Ala. Deaton Funeral Home of Belmont will be in charge of arrangements.
Survivors are three children, Lynn Cashion Green (Harry) of Hilton Head Island, S.C., Robert Cashion (Gunita) and Richard Cashion, all of Golden; seven grandchildren, David Cashion Green (Lori), Mark Judson Green (Jennifer), Bryant Cashion (Dana), Amanda Ledbetter (Hal), Katie Crane (David), Breana Cashion and Bret Cashion; and 13 great-grandchildren, Cashion, Soyar, Preston, Kate, Charlie and Luke Green, Robert and Olivia Cashion, Maggie and Madeline Ledbetter, and Ava, Anderson and Adele Crane.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Robert Cashion; her parents, Alexander Vinson Fancher and Alma Bostick Fancher; and her brothers and sisters, Prebble Harlow, Arvis Clark, Marie Fancher, Dick Fancher, Dale Fancher, Deveral David Fancher, Luke Fancher and Virginia Yarber.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Fancher, Joe Yarber, Dicky Sparks, Chuck Cashion, Charlie Paden and Larry Fancher. Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Clark and Eddie Webber.
Visitation will continue at Golden Chapel United Methodist Church until service time.

BROOKHAVEN – Carrie Lee Calcote Magee, 86, died Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at Silver Cross Nursing Home in Brookhaven. She was a housewife.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Damascus M.B. Church in Brookhaven. The Rev. Allen C. Herring will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Church Cemetery. Kenneth I. Roberson Funeral Home of Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.
She is survived by her caregivers, Carolyn and Kirby Humphries; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. “Doug” Magee, and her parents, Rev. Richard and Minnie Calcote.

Viola Easley
MEMPHIS – Viola Maurine Doss Easley, 91, died Monday, April 15, 2013, at her residence. Formerly of Calhoun County, she was retired from Memphis City School System.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Bruce with Chaplain Sandy Long and Bro. Robert Earl Alexander officiating. Burial will follow in Collums Cemetery in Bruce.
Survivors include three daughters, Sherry Kay Whitsell of Gulfport, Amelia D. Witzleb of Memphis and Mary Easley of Newport News, Va.; five sisters, Clytee Christian of Houlka, Nell Rives of Mable Hill, Mo., Mae Una Arthur of Houlka, Anita Bratton of Denison, Texas, and Lucy Doss of Inverness, Fla.; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Baxter L. Doss and Rose Elma Purvis Doss; two sons, John D. Easley and Dwight L. Easley; four brothers, Van Davis Doss, J.C. Doss, Wilburn Doss and John Doss; and a granddaughter, Jennifer Easley.
Visitation will be noon until 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

BLUE MOUNTAIN – David Carroll, 84, died Friday, April 12, 2013, at Community Hospice at Darlington Oaks in Verona. He was born in June 1928 to Penny and Linnie Murry Carroll in Tippah County.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Strickland Carroll of New Albany; three sons, David Carroll Jr. of Minneapolis, Minn., Izel Carroll of Indianapolis, Ind., and Joe Carroll of Blue Mountain; 11 daughters, Mary Lipsey Johnnie (Ray) Jackson, Lucy (Alvin) Bell and Stella (Thomas) Johnson of Ripley, Mertis Carter, Margaret (Thomas) Caldwell, Christine (Jessie) Jones, Loretta Gibbs, Donna Gibbs and Geanette Gibbs, all of Blue Mountain, Polly (Terry) Dentry of Columbus; two sisters, Elizabeth Rutherford and Lizzie Boyd of Ripley; 32 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Juneie Carroll; a daughter, Etherlen Carroll; two brothers, James and Billy Carroll; six sisters, Sarah Hatch, Sally Storey, Dorothy Graham, Hazel King, Juanita Boyd and Linnie Boyd.
Visitation will be from 1 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

PONTOTOC – Myrtice Gail Cross, 62, died Thursday, April 18, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice. She was a loving mother and grandmother and a beautiful person who cared for everyone. She will be greatly missed by many.

Survivors include two sons, Joey Edington of Pontotoc and Jimmy Edington of Bruce; one daughter, Joy Cross of Houlka; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild; two brothers, Mac Gregory of Bruce and Buzz Hall of Pontotoc.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Hilton Hall; her mother, Myrtice Maylee Hall; and a brother, Andrew Alexander “Andy” Hall.

HOUSTON – William Ray Bevill, 76, died Saturday, April 13, 2013, at his home. He was born Oct. 18, 1936, in Calhoun County to Lonnie and Jeannie Mae Bevill. He was retired from MPI. He was a member of Faith Bible Church in Houston.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Southern Funeral Chapel in Houston with Bro. Johnny Cherry officiating. Burial will be in Ellzey Cemetery at Vardaman.
Survivors include a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Bevill, who died in 1996; his parents; and his siblings, L.D. Bevill, Archie Bevill, Cleveland Bevill, Carl Bevill, Willie Aville Bevill, Weider Abbott, Edna Crabtree, Pauline Conner, Gaither Scarbrough, Odean Golden and an infant brother.
Pallbearers will be Charles Voyles, Dewayne Weaver, James Crump, Frank Pemper, Larry Dunn and Jake Sparks.
