OLIVE BRANCH – Earlie Gardner, 64, died Wednesday, April 17, 2013, in Memphis. He was born July 10, 1948, to Earlie Lee Gardner Sr. and Murray Perkins. He was employed by the Greyhound Bus Line for more than 37 years.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Melvin Lewis will officiate. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Church Cemetery in Tupelo. N.L. Jones Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by a son, Deandre Trice of Memphis; two daughters: Kimberly Hopkins of Tupelo and Veronica Gardner of Memphis; 10 sisters, Yvonne McCary of Chicago, Shirley Sanders of Ripley, Tenn., Delois Hamilton, Jannie Martin, Claudia Howard, Earlie (Odis) Johnson, Edna Gray, Mary Perkins, Esperuinzeta (Rufus) Lauderdale and Gretta Perkins, all of Tupelo; four brothers, Ben Gardner, James Garmon, Neal Garmon and John (Annie) Perkins, all of Tupelo; two special friends, Maxine Blackburn and Margaret Trice; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 3 until 5 p.m. today and the family hour will be from 5 until 6 p.m. today.
BOONEVILLE – Betty Ann Moore Calvery, 77, died Thursday, April 25, 2013, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville. She was born June 12, 1935, to Sevier and Ruby Moore. She was an active member of Christ United Methodist Church. She was always a hard worker, beginning her many years of hard work as a nurse’s aide at Booneville Hospital and a nursing student at Northeast Mississippi Junior College for 1 1/2 years. She then began working at Brown Shoe Company. While at Brown Shoe, she earned her cosmetology license and worked part-time as a beautician. She worked at Brown Shoe for 30 years until its closing. After enjoying a year of babysitting, she began working at Kimberly Clark, where she worked for 18 years before retiring. She loved spending time with and watching her grandchildren play ball or cheer and traveling with her husband, family and friends.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at McMillan Funeral Home in Booneville with Bro. Walter Downs and Bro. Jerry Kelly officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Park.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Almus “Buddy” Calvery; one son, Randy (Teresa) Calvery of Booneville; one sister, Brenda (Billy) Whisenant of Booneville; four brothers, Junior Moore and Robert (Mary) Moore, both of Jumpertown, Will ( Peggy) Moore of Mount Pleasant and Jimmy Moore of Booneville; and five grandchildren, Cristi, Kinsey, Daniel, and Chase Calvery and Drew Noe.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, James Calvery; and two brothers, Paul and Elbert Moore.
Pallbearers will be Sammy and Benny Frederick, Craig and Clay Koon, Mark and Grady Moore, and Kerry and Robby Kelly.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today and until service time Saturday at the funeral home.

BOONEVILLE – Vicki Deloris Bishop Patterson, 44, died Monday, April 22, 2013, in a motor vehicle accident in Longview, Texas. She was born April 3, 1969, in Booneville. She was a Baptist, a homemaker and a soccer mom. She was active in her children’s school life, and she volunteered her time with several charitable organizations. A Tennessee Vol fan, she enjoyed crafts, boating, ballgames, shopping and spending time with her family. She was witty and good-humored. She loved music and the color pink, and she was pretty in pink.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Booneville Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Charles Durham and Bro. Andrew “Buddy” Marshall officiating. Burial will be in Crossroads Cemetery.
She is survived by two sons, Blake Bordelon and Paul Patterson Jr., both of Booneville; two daughters, Laney Cabrera (Efrain) of Olive Branch and Laykin Bordelon of Booneville; her grandmother, Bernice Michael; two aunts, Sandra Walden (Jerry) and Ouida Massengill (Ray), all of Booneville; two uncles, Charlie Michael (Sue) of Tupelo and Gerald Michael (Shirlie) of Oxford; two grandchildren, Audrey Cabrera and Blake Bordelon Jr.; and a cousin and best friend, Pam Hill.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Michael Finch; her father, Charles Bishop; her grandmother, Magdeline Bishop; and her stepfather, Ellis Finch.
Pallbearers are Kenneth Michael, Randy Hill, Chuck Kelley, Michael Walden, Greg Walden and Gaylen Michael.

BRUCE – James Henry Mills, 82, passed away on Monday, April 22, 2013, at Bruce Community Living Center in Bruce.

HATLEY – June Brasfield Fears Williams, 81, died Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at her residence. Born June 19, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Floyd and Corrine Comer Brasfield. She grew up in and attended school in Smithville. She was a member of Christian Chapel Church of Christ and was employed by Wilson Manufacturing, later retiring from Star Printing. A loving and gentle Christian lady, she loved spending time with her family and was a friend to all. She enjoyed keeping up with her family, especially on Facebook, watching Atlanta Braves play ball, and traveling to the mountains.
She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Fears (Tommy) of the Parham Community; son, Joe Fears (Kim) of the Parham Community; stepsons, Dana Williams of Atlanta, Ga., and Dennis Williams (Jill) of Birmingham, Ala.; sisters, Betty Williams (Jack), Lane Johnson, Janice Lann (David), Deb Akola (Eric), Joy Ponds and Pat Cowart (Paul); grandchildren, Tammy Minor (Lee), Tracy Cox (Michael), Misty Adams (Glenn), Kim Sellers (Joe), Alisha Rimmer (Jeff), Jeremy Fears, Zach Fears, Jon Paul Fears; great-grandchildren, Eric Minor (Lyndsie), Emily Minor (Ben), Jacob Cox, Jillian Cox, Jolie Kate Cox, Riley Adams, Katie Winters, Kayla Pruitt, Madison Sellers, Jules Rimmer and Dylan Rimmer; great-great-grandchildren, Cullen Minor, Lilly Grace Minor and Easton Shields; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands, Boyd Fears and Dudley Williams; and brothers, Ruble and Joe Brasfield.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. today at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home with Marshall Eubanks Jr. and Chase Surrell officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy, Zach and Jon Paul Fears, Joe Sellers, Jeff Rimmer, Jacob Cox, Eric and Lee Minor, Glenn Adams and Ben Mattox. Honorary pallbearers will be Christy Brown, Christy Lann and the staff of Legacy Hospice.

She is survived by her daughter, Jessica Shana Ford of Starkville; her mother, Margaret Stanton, and stepfather, Lelon Stanton, of Hickory Flat; her brother, Marty Stanton of Hickory Flat; her grandmother, Mary Hogue, and stepgrandfather, Milburn Hogue, of New Albany; and aunts and uncles.

MYRTLE – William Hal Frazier, 65, died Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County. He was born May 21, 1947, in Union County to Fred Davis Frazier and Maxie O. Cobb Frazier. He was a member of First Baptist Church in New Albany and the Starkville Deaf Chat Club. He was retired from Caye Furniture Co. in New Albany.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at United Funeral Service Chapel in New Albany with the Rev. Ricky Blythe officiating. Burial will be in Glenfield Memorial Park.
He is survived by his mother, Maxie O. Cobb Frazier of Myrtle; two daughters, Tammy Nichols (Jerry) and LaDonna South Alexander (DeVago), both of Booneville; one sister, Evelyn Frazier of Myrtle; three brothers, Walter Frazier of Florence, Stanley Frazier of Bay St. Louis and Steve Frazier (Sherry) of Myrtle; five grandchildren, Anthony Crawley, Adam Nichols, Kristian McCollum, Anna McKinney and D’Varion Alexander; and four great-grandchildren, Jason Robinson, Alex Lynn Robinson, Jaxon Robinson and Carter Crawley.
He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Davis Frazier.

HOUSTON – Howard Glen White, 84, died Thursday, April 25, 2013. He was born Sept. 14, 1928, in Clay County to Alvie Ardell White and Artie “Kidie” Elizabeth Vaughn White. He was a member of Southside Church of Christ. He was a rural mail carrier. He was the owner and operator of White’s Dept. Store and he partnered with Shorty Kilgore in establishing Memorial Funeral Home.

BOONEVILLE – Jesse H. Morgan Sr., 74, died Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at Veterans Administration Hospital in Memphis. He was born Jan. 14, 1939, to Vester and Effie Ratliff Morgan. He served in the U.S. Air Force as an aircraft mechanic. He was a retired pilot and aircraft mechanic, an instructor and a charter flyer. He was president of Morgan Aviation at Perry County Airport in Tell City, Ind., from 1974 to 2003. He then retired and moved to Prentiss County. He was an aircraft enthusiast and enjoyed antique cars.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Myrtle Simpson Morgan; sons, Gregory H. Morgan (Linda) of North Augusta, S.C., Jesse H. Morgan Jr. (Joyce) of Scottsville, Ky., and Richard A. Morgan (Karen) of Wheeler; two grandchildren, Christopher A. Morgan and Amy Morgan Young (Corey); brothers, Charles Morgan (Ann) of Savannah, Mo., and Tom Morgan (Donna) of Baldwyn; and sister, Elizabeth Morgan Alberici (Mario) of Walsenburg, Colo.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
