BYHALIA – Robert Lee Honer, 47, died Sunday, March 25, 2012, at Alliance Healthcare in Holly Springs.
Services will be at noon Wednesday at Pleasant Grove M.B. Church at Red Banks. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Serenity Funeral Home of Holly Springs is in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Conley Kaye Craig
PITTSBORO – Conley Kaye Craig, 62, died Sunday, April 1, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Belle Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce.

PLANO, Texas – Elizabeth Spencer Flowers, 84, formerly of Baldwyn, died Monday, April 2, 2012, at her home after a brief illness. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Waters Funeral Home of Baldwyn.
Liz Buse
BOONEVILLE – Mary Elizabeth “Liz” Buse, 46, died Sunday, April 1, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center. She was a homemaker and Baptist.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Waters Funeral Home in Baldwyn with Bro. Richard Floyd officiating. Burial will be in the Friendship Cemetery.
Survivors include her sons, Derrick Bates and Brandon Bates of Booneville; her fiancampé, Lon Montgomery of Booneville; two sisters, Christy Rodgers and Susie Dugard of Guntown; one brother, Jimbo Buse of Guntown; her stepmother, Maudie Buse of Guntown and her grandchildren, Michael and Kayden Bates.
She was preceded in death by her parents; James and Charlene Buse.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
James Hargett
GOLDEN – James G. Hargett, 71, died Monday, April 2, 2012.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Old Union Cemetery at Belmont. Deaton Funeral Home of Red Bay, Ala., is in charge of the arrangements.
Sarah Rakestraw
BLUE SPRINGS – Sarah Lagatha McCord Rakestraw, 80, died Monday, April 2, 2012, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County in New Albany. She was born Nov. 1, 1931, in Pontotoc County to Sam White McCord and Ruth Barton McCord. She was a retired employee of Mohasco. She loved gardening, working with her flowers, fishing, crocheting and raising her grandkids. She was a member of the New Harmony Baptist Church.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at New Harmony Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Nail and the Rev. Charlie Ransier officiating. Burial will be in the New Harmony Cemetery. United Funeral Service in New Albany is in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Wayne Rakestraw of Blue Springs; her daughter, Barbara Hannaford (Mike) of New Albany; her two sons, Larry Wayne Rakestraw (Charlene) and Kenny L. Rakestraw (Donna), both of Blue Springs; two sisters, Vernell Moorman and Sammie Ruth Reeder, both of Pontotoc; and eight grandchildren, Lesley Rakestraw, Evan Rakestraw, Beverly Hannaford, David Hannaford, Kayla Rakestraw, Justin Rakestraw, Jason Rakestraw and Jeremy Rakestraw.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Stanley McCord.
Pallbearers will be Lesley Rakestraw, Evan Rakestraw, David Hannaford, Justin Rakestraw, Mike McCord and Mac Reeder. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Rakestraw and Jeremy Rakestraw.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. The body will lie in repose at the church from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday.
