BALDWYN – Loretta Lynn Price, 51, died Sunday, Aug. 15, 2010, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was born May 4, 1959, to Alberta Price Gates (Robert) and the late Maxie McBride. She was a member of Mt. Nebo CME Church.
Service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Mt. Nebo CME Church with Rev. Carl Z. Jones officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Agnew & Sons Funeral of Baldwyn is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her mother, Alberta (Robert) Gates of Baldwyn; one son, Tyrone Price of Baldwyn; two daughters, Tamekka (Tim) Scales and Coco Price, both of Baldwyn; three brothers, Timothy (Beverly) Price of Tupelo, Christopher (Abbie) Justice of Savannah, Tenn., and Marquie McBride of Chicago; four sisters, Olivia (Anthony) Moore and Tara Gates, both of Baldwyn, Barbara McBride and Stephanie McBride, both of Chicago; seven grandchildren; a special friend, Larry Donnell Miller of Baldwyn.
She was preceded in death by her father; and her grandparents, Albert and Lorraine Price, and Aaron McBride.
Visitation will be from 1 to 6 p.m. today with the family hour from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to service.

WEST POINT – Bobbie Jean Dye Mercier Redus, 70, died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2010, at the Dugan Memorial Home in West Point. She was born on Jan. 24, 1940, in Lambert to Alma Higginbotham and Hiram Hillard “Pete” Dye. She was a devoted Christian and a member of Riverside Baptist Church in West Point.
Services will be at 7 p.m. today at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel in West Point. Bro. Albert Wilkerson will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 until 7 p.m. today.
Survivors include three daughters, Donna Reed (Mickey). Margaret Fretz (Greg) and Casey Weathers (Ricky); one son, Robert Mercier (Tina); one stepson, Tommy Redus (Darcy), all of West Point; seven grandchildren, Samantha White, Jessica Mercier, Josh Mercier, Allen Fretz, Bryon Fretz, Andrew Weathers and Garret Weathers; two great-grandchildren, Reed White and Lacey White; two stepgrandchildren, Kelsi Redus and Jack Redus; one sister, JoAnn D. BELMONT – Leroy Garner, 87, died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2010, at his daughter’s residence. He was born Oct. 2, 1922, in Oklahoma to Oscar and Martha Whitehead Garner. He was a supervisor for Blue Bell. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a Mason.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at New Bethel Baptist Church in Belmont with Bro. James Segars officiating. Burial will be in Belmont City Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home of Belmont is in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Helen Garner of Belmont; three children, James Garner (Eva), Wayne Garner (Jamie) and Phyllis Dexter, all of Belmont; a son-in-law, Randy Dexter of Belmont; five grandchildren, Christy Garner Hughes (Rocky), Lana Dexter Murphree (Cliff), Lori Dexter Witt (Brad), Barry Dexter and Michelle Garner; nine great-grandchilden.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Audrey West; a granddaughter, Myra Pharr; two great-grandchildren, Quinton Murphree and Dustin Pharr.

BOONEVILLE – Don E. Wilhite, 60, died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2010, at the Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth. He was born Nov. 19, 1949, in Dumas to James Pannell Wilhite and Maggie Pearl Prentiss Wilhite. He was a machine operator for Cherry Electric in Waukegan, Ill., and a truck driver for M.S. Carriers. He was a member of West Booneville Church of Christ. He enjoyed Alabama Crimson Tide football and showing his classic cars.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Booneville Funeral Chapel, with Evangelist Ward Hogland officiating. Burial will be in Booneville Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Newborn “Becca” Wilhite; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, James Wilhite Sr. and Clarence Wilhite; and a sister, Linda Wilhite.
Pallbearers are Michael Newborn, Scottie Newborn, Eugene Miller, Tony Miller, Jimmy Wilhite, David McCalmon and Doug Prentiss.

OXFORD – Ruby O’Dell, 77, died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2010, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. Born in Truman, Ark., Mrs. O’Dell was the widow of Donald G. O’Dell. A homemaker, she enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family and gardening.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at New Prospect Baptist Church with Rev. Ken White officiating. Burial will follow in Kingdom Cemetery. Waller Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include four sons, John O’Dell and his wife, Sandra of Oxford, Don O’Dell of Oxford, Troy O’Dell of Oxford and Dwight O’Dell of Oxford; one sister, Ruth Maxwell of Truman, AR; one brother, Millard Campbell of Tuckerman, AR; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild and one step great great-grandchild.
