Velera Rodgers
FULTON – Velera Rodgers, 90, died Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2009, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by McNeece-Morris Funeral Home of Fulton. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Antonella Bell
BALDWYN – Antonella Bell, 54, died Sunday, Aug. 23, 2009, at her home in Baldwyn. She was a member of Mt. Zion Community Church in Guntown. She was an usher, youth director and a member of the Wailing Women Club. She worked at Reed’s Mfg. for many years.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Mt. Zion Community Church with the Rev. J.S. Agnew officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Agnew & Sons Funeral Home of Baldwyn is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her husband, Johnny Bell of Baldwyn; one son, Johnathan (Tamekia) Bell; two daughters, Selethra (Darrio) Green of Tupelo and Amekia Bell of Baldwyn; her mother, Doris Grice Pippins Agnew of Baldwyn, MS; one brother, Lee Therman (Paula) Pippins of Tupelo; two sisters, Dorkesha Agnew of Baldwyn and Vivian Ann (Bob) Andrews of Racine, Wis.; six grandchildren; three goddaughters; special aunts, Delois Williams and Esther Bartley.
She was preceded in death by her father, Therman Pippins; her stepfather, Jimmy Dale Agnew; and her father- and mother-in-law, Clyde and Susie Bell.

Geraldine Ransom
CORINTH – Geraldine Elizabeth Young Ransom, 85, died Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2009, at her home.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Friday at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. Magnolia Funeral Home of Corinth is in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

David Voyles
AMORY – David B. Voyles, 23, died Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2009, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by E.E. Pickle Funeral Home of Amory.
Darnell Cox
ABERDEEN – Darnell Cox, 41, died Sunday, Aug. 23, 2009, at the Central Mississippi Medical Center. He worked for the State of Mississippi.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Belle Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen. The Rev. Avis Shelton will officiate. Burial will be in Palo Alto Cemetery.
Survivors include his mother, Thelma Lee Cox; six brothers, Willie Charles (Loretta) Cox, Richard (Betty) Cox, James (Hazel) Cox, Albert (Lillie) Cox, Larry (Marilyn) Cox and Derrick (Rosalind) Cox; five sisters, Flora (Curtis) Outlaw, Dorothy (Roosevelt) Fears, Thelma Lou Cox, Nichole Cox-Shaw and Felecia (Chad)Cox.
He was preceded in death by his father, Willie B. Cox.

CORINTH – Vadine Robinson, 86, died Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2009, at her home.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Souls Harbor Apostolic Church. Burial will be in Oakland Baptist Cemetery in Tippah County. Corinthian Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will continue at the church until service time today.

BALDWYN – Steven Molohon, 52, died Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2009, at the North Mississippi Medical Center after a long illness. He was formerly of Louisville, Ky. CORINTH – Harold McNair died Friday, Aug. 21, 2009, at Methodist University Hospital.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Corinth. Burial will be in Old Danville Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to service time Saturday.
Glenda Dilworth
CORINTH – Glenda Faye McNair Dilworth, 68, died Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2009, at her home. She was a member of Unity Baptist Church and a homemaker. She loved her family and friends, and enjoyed watching basketball on T.V. and spending time with her family and friends.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with Bro. Raybon Richardson officiating. Burial will be in Forrest Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Gerry Dilworth of Corinth; one son, Marty Dilworth and wife, Robin, of Corinth; one daughter, Solita Dilworth of Corinth; two grandchildren, Ashley Dilworth and Joshua Dilworth; one great-grandson, Haze Milligan; one brother, JImmy McNair and wife, Myrna, of Biggersville; his mother-in-law, Zelma Farris Dilworth of Corinth; a special cousin, Diane Broadway and husband, Ronnie, of Corinth; a special friend, Gail Doty and husband, Joe, of Biggersville; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, R.C. McNair; her mother, Mildred Darnell McNair; and her father-in-law, Mark John Dilworth.
Visitation will be from noon to service time today at the funeral home.

OXFORD – Harvey Allan Harris, 45, died at his home near Oxford.
A memorial service will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday at Pine Flat Methodist Church on County Road in Oxford. Coleman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

IUKA – Eric Compton, 35, died Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2009, in Glen. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka.
Beatrice Elliott
TISHOMINGO – Beatrice Elliott, 96, died Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2009, at the Iuka Hospital. She was born March 2, 1913, in Alabama to Frederick and Sudie Palmer Cosby. She was a homemaker and a member of Forrest Grove Baptist Church.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Forrest Grove Baptist Church with Bro. Frankie Smith, Bro. Andy Elliott and Bro. Mark Daily officiating. Burial will be in Barton Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home of Belmont is in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by four children, Roy Elliott (Ruth) of Booneville, Jack Elliott (Brenda) and Steve Elliott, all of Red Bay, Ala., and Sue Daily (Kary) of Tishomingo; 21 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; in-laws, June Thompson, Barbara Sue Mauldin, Annette Elliott and Kenny Mauldin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, O.E. “Bo” Elliott; three sons, Chester Elliott, Billy Joe Elliott and Tommy Elliott; a daughter, Ann Mauldin; and a daughter-in-law, Rhonda Elliott.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Terry Elliott, Tim Mauldin, David Mauldin, Randy Elliott, Tracy Elliott, Brandon Elliott and Blake Elliott. Honorary pallbearers will be great-grandsons.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Deaton Funeral Home in Belmont. The body will lie in state at Forrest Grove Baptist Church from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday.

Bernice Nunley
IUKA – Bernice Nunley, 84, died Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2009.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Ludlam Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka. Burial will be in Grissom Chapel Cemetery in Iuka.
Elton Williams
THAXTON – William Elton Williams, 81, died Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2009, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was a member of Hurricane Baptist Church. He loved gospel music and spending time with his family.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Hurricane Baptist Church with the Rev. Kevin Merritt, the Rev. Phillip Brock and the Rev. Juston Gates Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the Bethel Baptist Cemetery in Union County. Tutor Memorial Funeral Home of Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include one brother, Arbury Williams; three sisters-in-law, Irene Williams, Iris Williams and Vera Williams; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Annie Williams; a sister, Ida Lou, and three brothers, Malcome, Clay and Marlin Williams.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Williams, Chad Williams, Cru Williams, Dean Griffin, Lynn Hooker, Mark Cantrell and Ben Willard.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home and from noon to service time Friday at the church.
