Noah Lewis
BOONEVILLE – Noah Edison Lewis, 90, died Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, at Baldwyn Nursing Facility. He was born May 31, 1922, in Prentiss County to Davis Turner Lewis and Mary Frances Brown Lewis. He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. He was a factory worker in the garment manufacturing industry and a farmer. He also owned and operated Noah Lewis’s Handle Shop in later years. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing and attending church.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Booneville Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Pete McCoy and Bro. Stanley Shook officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine Prentiss Lewis, whom he married on March 23, 1979; a son, W.T. Lewis (Gail); a stepson, Wesley Spencer of Booneville; two daughters, Ernestine Johnson and Virginia Turner; a stepdaughter, Anita Whaley (Richard) of Saltillo; a brother, Robert Lewis (Louise) of Greensboro, N.C.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn Kramer; two infant daughters; a son, L.D. Lewis; his parents; four sisters, Ophelia Roberts, Delia Aldridge, Almedia Miller and Mae Mink; five brothers, Dossie Lewis, Turner Lewis, Arthur Lewis, Henry Lewis and Walker Lewis; and a stepson, Chester Spencer.
Pallbearers are Bill Brown, Eugene Miller, Jimmy Spencer, Richard Whaley, Doug Whaley and Wade Oaks. Honorary pallbearers are B.J. Copeland and Harold “Curly” Ward.

SALTILLO – Carl Lee White, 66, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at his residence in Saltillo. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors of Saltillo.
Willie Smith
NEW ALBANY – Willie Carl Smith, 91, died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County. He was born Nov. 2, 1921, in Alcorn County. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. He was an auto mechanic for Memphis Cadillac and Madison Cadillac for years before retirement.
Services are at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Bruce, with the Rev. Robert Earl Alexander officiating. Interment is at Bruce Cemetery.
He is survived by daughter, Linda Tutor (Larry) of Ripley; sisters, Vera Henderson of Middleton, Tenn., and Hazel Tolbert of Memphis; two grandsons, Jason Tutor (Dana) of Olive Branch and Jonathan Tutor (Deidre) of Bartlett, Tenn.; and four great-grandchildren, Ethan Tutor, Logan Tutor, Olivia Tutor and William Jarman.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Aleen York Smith; parents, Lester and Delly Jones Smith; three brothers, Leroy, Arthur and Milton Smith; and sister, Winnie Mae Morris.
Visitation is noon until service time Tuesday.

Patricia Burrow
TUPELO – Patricia V. Burrow, 76, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born May 5, 1936, in London, England, to Alfred John Bartlett and Isabella Lawrence Bartlett. She met her husband, Earl Burrow, while he served in the military. They moved to the U.S. and have lived in Tupelo the past 24 years. A dedicated homemaker, she enjoyed working in her flowers, gardening, crocheting and taking care of her family.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at the Lee Memorial Chapel with Bro. Wexford Parmer officiating. Burial will follow in Lee Memorial Park.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Earl Burrow; two daughters, Lynda Willis and Tina Copeland (Charles); four grandchildren, Brandy Powers (Kirby), Amber Kerby, Madison Copeland and Ethan Copeland; and two great-grandchildren, Kadence Loyd and Kinley Powers.
Visitation is noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Nadine Todd
BURNSVILLE – Mary Nadine Todd, 78, died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012, at Tishomingo Manor in Iuka. She was born Sept. 18, 1934, in Prentiss County. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
Deaton Funeral Home in Belmont assisted the family with the arrangements.
Survivors are her daughter, Sonja Schaefer of Burnsville; two grandchildren, Dana Schaefer and Laura Sinningson; four brothers and sisters, Sue Moore, Anthony Fugitt, Charles Fugitt and Judy Fugitt.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Noel Gene Todd; her parents, Russell and Estelle Bolton Fugitt; one sister, Jolene Wright; and two brothers, Miles Fugitt and Paul Fugitt.
Sandra Seger
NEW ALBANY – Sandra Bernice Cocke Seger, 71, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. She was born on Sept. 24, 1941, in Union County to Alvie Cocke and Clara Hamblin Cocke. She was a retired factory worker, having sown in the shirt factory for many years. She enjoyed sewing, needle work, reading and quilting. She was a member of Center Baptist Church.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at United Funeral Service Chapel with Bro. Mike Brazil officiating. Burial will be in Center Cemetery.
She is survived by her mother, Clara Cocke of New Albany; two daughters, Karen Segar (Brian) of New Albany and Susie Hamilton (Bates) of Okolona; three sons, Scott Caldwell (Nita) of Pontotoc, Sammy Caldwell of Pontotoc and Kevin Seger (Cindy) of Florida; two brothers, Roy Cocke (Margaret) and Roger Cocke, both of New Albany; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her father Alvie Cocke.
Pallbearers will be Justin Robbins, Jason Robbins, Brian Barnes, Keith Barnes, Kevin Seger and Scott Caldwell.

Katherine Potts
CORINTH – Katherine Cook Potts, 65, died, Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, at Magnolia Regional Health Center. She was born Feb. 22, 1947. She was a housewife and of Christian faith. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Mississippi State University. She had a generous giving heart and was a loyal friend.
Services are at noon Tuesday at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with Bro. Ted Avant, Bro. Nelson Hight and Dr. Dennis Smith officiating. Interment is at Corinth National Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Stanley Potts of Corinth; son, Chad Potts (Cathy) of Glen; daughter, Nikki Whitworth (Noel) of Memphis; grandchildren, Cody Potts and Jordan Cavaness; mother, Jewel Bloodworth Cook of New Albany; brother, D.L. Cook (Martha) of New Albany; sister, Sadie Hall (Marvin) of Alabaster, Ala.; sister-in-law, Sue Cook of New Albany; and a host of other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her father, Vernon Cook; and her brother, Buddy Cook.
Pallbearers are Bill Hall, Biggs Shannon, Barry Hamilton and Bing Fraley.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. until service time Tuesday.

BALDWYN – Dale Stiles, 84, died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was a retired Merchant and also a retired employee of Daybrite Industries. He enjoyed gardening and watching sports. He was a U.S. Veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Waters Funeral Home with Bro, Dale Whitlock officiating with burial in the Baldwyn Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Margene Stiles of Baldwyn; sisters, Nancy Sneed (Donald) of Smithville and Helen Chisholm of Charleston, S.C.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Glover Stiles Sr. and Helen Stiles; brother, Glover Stiles Jr.; and sister, Sara Stiles.
Pallbearers will be his nephews.
Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. today at Waters Funeral Home.

Etoyle Murphy
MARIETTA – Etoyle Murphy, 88, died Sunday Dec. 16, 2012, at Darlington Oaks Hospice House in Verona. She was a member of Gilmore United Methodist Church. She retired from Reeds manufacturing after 34 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Kesler Funeral Home Chapel in Baldwyn with Bro. Bill Adams and Bro. Ray Guin officating. Burial will be in the Kirkville Cemetery.
Survivors include one son, Eddie Murphy (Sandy) of Marietta; one grandaughter, Kristie Lindsey (Charles) of Marietta; two great-grandchildren, Kateline and Keylon Lindsey; and one sister, Eardall Lindsey (Lemoyse) of Baldwyn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Murphy; three brothers, William, Kenneth and Hubert Pettigo; one sister, Cutah Hughes; and parents, Will and Cleo Pettigo.
Pallbearers are Charles Lindsey, Wayne Hood, Jimmy Pettigo, Dan Lindsey, Danny Coker and William Barnes.
Visitation is 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Trish Caradine
SALTILLO – Patricia Ann Caradine, 34, died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born Sept. 20, 1978, in San Antonio, Texas, to John and Martha Ward. She enjoyed the outdoors and loved fishing, working in her flower garden and especially swimming with her children.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Jefferson Street Chapel. Burial will be at Hatchett Cemetery in Clay County. W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her husband of 12 years, Billy Joe Caradine of Saltillo; one daughter, Elizabeth Caradine of the home; one son, Edward Caradine of the home; one sister, Sherill Harris of Nettleton; two brothers, David Ward of West Plains, Mo., and Johnny Ward of San Antonio, Texas; her mother, Martha Britt of Amory; and her mother-in-law, Dorothy Caradine of Mooreville.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents; her father; and her stepfather, Larry Britt.
Pallbearers will be Phillip and Billy Tackett, Tommy Jaggers, Tony Johnson, Cliffton Whitt and John McCowen. Honorary pallbearers will be David Caradine, Sam Whitt and Jason Lauferberg.
