HAMILTON – Trellis Nolan Blanton, 76, died Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at Darlington Oaks Community Hospice in Verona. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen.

Rubal Priddy
TUPELO – Flossie Ruby “Rubal” Priddy, 91, died Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to service time Monday at the funeral home.

Penny Mascho
CITRUS SPRINGS, Fla. – Penny Marie Mascho, 47, passed away Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at her home in Citrus Springs, Fla., after an extended illness. She was born May 19, 1965, in Orlando, Fla. She was formerly of Guntown.
She is survived by her sisters, Tammy (Jerry) Mascho Davis, Phyllis (Johnny) Freeman, Ruthie Hutson, Sandra (Butch) Cook and Barbra (Wayne) Purdue; her brothers, Scott (Jaclyn) Mascho, Gene Mascho, Steve Mascho, Ronnie Hutson and James Lewis; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Mascho Suggs; her father, Dareld Harvey Mascho; her stepmother, Roberta Mascho; and brothers,Tommy and Steve Hutson.
A private memorial service was held at Robert’s Funeral Home in Dunnellon, Fla., at Ms. Mascho’s request. She also requested that any memorials made be given to local animal shelters.

Fay Whiteside
NEW ALBANY – Zelda Fay Maxey Whiteside, 90, died Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Pontotoc. She was born Feb. 13, 1922, in Union County to Jack Maxey and Susie Garrett Maxey. She was a retired employee of the Shands and Union County Hospitals, where she worked as a licensed practical Houses. She was one of the oldest active members of Bethlehem Methodist Church. She loved her church and was a prayer warrior.
Services will be at 2 p.m., Sunday at Bethlehem Methodist Church with the Rev. Jeff Lawrence and the Rev. Nathan Hodum officiating. Burial will be in Bethlehem Methodist Church Cemetery. United Funeral Service in New Albany is in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her three sons, Phil Whiteside (Shelba) of New Albany, Terry Whiteside (Angelia) of New Albany and Keith Whiteside (Donna) of Bay St. Louis; a brother, Jimmy Jack Maxey of New Albany; six grandchildren, Jennifer Lipscomb (Jamie), Emily Childers (Guy), Christy Bullock (Jalon), Cheri Leutz (Jack), Jana Pickett (Rob) and Matt Kyle; and six great-grandchildren, Anslie, Becca and Lilly Childers, Ellie and Olivia Lipscomb, and Max Bullock.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James E. Whiteside; a son, James Allen Whiteside; three sisters, Mae Etta Kizer, Flora Doris Carter and Maurine Steward; and a brother, Bill Maxey.
Pallbearers will be Jim Taylor, Ken Anderson, Jim Jennings, Steve Coleman, Vance Witt, Bobby Armstrong and Benny Little. Honorary pallbearers will be the Bethlehem Womens Prayer Group.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. The body will lie in repose at the church from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday.

CHEROKEE, Ala. – Patti Terry, 53, died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012, at her home.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka. Burial will be in Harris Chapel Cemetery in Cherokee, Ala. Cutshall Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Paul Richard Ledbetter Sr.
AMORY – Paul Richard Ledbetter Sr., 65, died Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. He was born March 6, 1947, in Arkansas to Jesse W. and Wanda Purdom Ledbetter. He married Marlene Ledbetter on June 20, 1971.
He attended school in Campbell, Mo., and later served his country in the U.S. Army. After his service with the Army, he moved to Dearborn Heights, Mich., where he worked with Allied Automotive as a mechanic for more than 25 years. A great father, brother and uncle, he was always willing to help his family, often giving family members rides to various places. He loved spending time with family, especially his granddaughter, watching his favorite Michigan sports teams, and working in the yard.
A celebration of life service will be at 1 p.m. today at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro. Kevin Crook and Marshall Eubanks officiating. Burial will follow in Haughton Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Fermin Haro, Michael Jiminez, Lucas Jiminez, Robbie Carson and Jesse Pool. Honorary pallbearers will be Jaden Haro and Miles Jiminez.
Survivors include his son, Michael Ledbetter of Amory; sisters, Lucy Agee of Amory, Beverly Clapper (Ralph) of Wingo, Ky., and Cathy Jiminez (Jose) of Amory; brother-in-law, Liverato Haro of Amory; granddaughter, Maysah Ledbetter; special friend, Carl Snead; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Michele Ledbetter; son, Paul Ledbetter Jr.; and sister, Donna Haro.

Edith Mills
BLUE SPRINGS – Edith Lee Mills, 55, died suddenly Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012. at her home. She was born Feb. 17,1957, in Fayettville, Tenn. She was a member of Journey Church in Saltillo and the director of church fundraisers. She was a member of the Civitans. She enjoyed going to Hannah House Daycare.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Kesler Funeral Home Chapel in Baldwyn with Bro. Neal Davis officiating. Burial will be in Donahue Cemetery. Kesler Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Larry Mills of Blue Springs; one daughter, Demetra Marcantel (Michael) of Blue Springs; two granddaughters, Haley Mills and Brianna Marcantel; four sisters, Peggy Collums (Gene) of Tupelo, Janice Palmertree (Bobby) of Winona, Karen Beddingfield (David) of Fayettville, Tenn., and Jeannie Lowe of Knoxville, Tenn.; two brothers, David Dollar (Paula) of Fayettville, Tenn., and Jessie “Skipper” Dollar (Bunny) of Louisiana; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy Duncan Dollar and Pauline Decker.
Pallbearers will be Lee Chapman, Tim Carter, Jimmy Hutcheson, Ryan Warrington, Ronnie Blythe and Coty Dunaway.
Visitation will continue from 9 a.m. until service time today.

Hilda Sullivan
NETTLETON – Hilda Lucille West Sullivan, 84, died Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at Gilmore Hospital in Amory. She was born Jan. 31, 1928, in the Brewer community of Lee County to Gurley West and Lonie Wright West. She lived many years in Verona before moving to the Nettleton area. A 1948 Tupelo High graduate, she was married to Travis Sullivan until his death on July 12, 1977. She worked as office secretary for United Insurance Company and, in later years, worked for Betty’s Restaurant in Mantachie. A member of Evergreen Baptist Church, she enjoyed crocheting and sharing her jovial personality with family and friends including being a practical jokester. She adored her grandchildren.
A celebration of life service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with Bro. Mike Todd officiating. Burial will follow in Lee Memorial Park. Holland Funeral Directors, Tupelo Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
She is survived by one son, Larry Sullivan (Patsy) of Ecru; one daughter, Linda Sims (Dewayne) of Greenwood Springs; four grandsons, Zack Sims, Alex Sims and Nicholas Sims, and Josh Sullivan; three great-grandchildren, Tristen Sullivan, Gracie Sullivan and Riley Stephens; stepdaughter, Judy Boyd (Ricky); a stepgranddaughter, Pam Stephens; and a stepgrandson, Kyle Boyd.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Travis Sullivan; her father, Gurley West, on June 9, 1974; her mother, Lonie West, on May 4, 1975; a grandson, Adam Sullivan, on Nov. 30, 2011; and six siblings, Clovis West, Gertie Bell Shumpert, Sibyl Patterson, Flora Poynor, Lounetta Cooper and an infant brother, Ferrell West.
Pallbearers are G.W. Poynor, Andrew White, Carl Patterson, John Bowen, Phillip White and Paul Wayne White.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 2 p.m. to service time on Sunday.

Jim Hunt
TUPELO – James Noel “Jim” Hunt, 72, died Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born on April 20, 1940, in Winston County to Howard Hunt and Eudice Burnham Hunt. He was a retired self-employed farmer and dairyman. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved spending time in God’s creation, especially fishing. A member of Lighthouse Fellowship in Tupelo, he loved listening to and singing gospel music. He enjoyed dealing in scrap iron, traveling and spending time with his dog, Peanut.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with Bro. Sam and Sister Londa Choate officiating. His brother-in-law, Eddie West, will deliver family reflections. Burial will be in Tupelo Memorial Park. Holland Funeral Directors, Tupelo Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from noon to service time Sunday, all at the Tupelo Chapel.
Survivors include his wife, Margie West Hunt of Tupelo, whom he married Aug. 2, 1985, in Lee County; a daughter, Shirley Anne Vinson of Pontotoc; two sons, James Gerald Hunt and James Howard Ellis, both of Tupelo; two brothers, Howard Levon Hunt (Hilda) of Anniston, Ala., and Lamar Hunt (Linda) of Quitman; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Myrtis Newsom
PONTOTOC – Myrtis Marie Newsom, 80, died Thursday, Nov. 20, 2012, at home. She was born June 16, 1932, to Spurgeon and Ruby Hicks. She married Earl Durell Newsom on July 26, 1949. They were married for 40 years until his death in 1989. She was a devoted wife, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt and so much more to so many people. Her heart was open to all who came into her life and she considered it a wonderful joy to take care of others.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. today at Lee Memorial Park in Verona. Tutor Memorial Funeral Home of Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.
She is survived by two sons, Rodney Newsom (Dianne) and Randy Newsom (Cheryl); six grandchildren, Shani Fullbright (James), Travia Moss (CJ), Rod Newsom (Amy), Roger Newsom (Samantha), Chelle Newsom and Mandy McComb (Andrew); 12 great-grandchildren, Michael Fullbright, Jonah Moss, Mackenzie Fullbright, Grace Fullbright, Hannah Newsom, Zoe Newsom, Julianna Vaughn, Lucy Vaughn, Bryce Vaughn, Nathan Moss, Madison Newsom and Kayson Newsom; one great-great-grandchild, Scarlett Fullbright; and one brother, Eddie Tinker Hicks (Shirley).
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband; and brothers, Royce Mickey Hicks and Thurman Buddy Hicks.
Pallbearers will be Michael Fullbright, Jonah Moss, Mackenzie Fullbright, CJ Moss, James Fullbright and Andrew McComb. Honorary pallbearers will be Gracie Fullbright, Hannah Newsom, Zoe Newsom, Nathan Moss, Madison Newsom and Kayson Newsom.

Emma Satterwhite
NEW ALBANY – Emma Mae King Satterwhite, 92, died Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012, at her home. She was born Dec. 20, 1920, in Houston to the late Charlie King and Zella Boston King.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Pleasant Grove M.B. Church. Serenity Funeral Home of New Albany is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include four children, Gertrude “Trudy” Wray, Hildred (Ruth Garrett) Satterwhite and Brenda (Kenneth) Phillips, all of New Albany, and David (Misong) Satterwhite of North Carolina; two brothers, Elma King and Taylor (Margaret) King of Pontotoc; three sisters, Zella Mae Wray of Tupelo, Clyte Johnson of Missouri and Velma Cook of Pontotoc; 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; a daughter, Mildred Howell; and a grandson, Michael Bell.
Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. to service time Sunday.
