Mary Louvinnie Riley
PEPPERTOWN – Mary Louvinnie Riley, 83, went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, December 21, 2012, after a short illness. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Peppertown in Itawamba County. She was retired from Delta Manufacturing Co. in Tupelo and since retiring loved working in her garden, canning, being a grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed serving her church, the community and especially spending time with her family.
Services will be 11:30 a.m. Monday, December 24, 2012 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Bro. Mark Tutor officiating. Burial will be in Frendship Methodist Church Cemetery in Peppertown.
Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Charles Riley of Peppertown; one son, Donald Cullum (Diane) of Saltillo; two daughters, Rachel Keith (Butch) of Palmetto and Janie Davis of Saltillo; one step-son, Ken Riley of Shannon; two step-daughters, Debra Riley of Tupelo and Cindy Dianne Jones of Tennessee; eight grandchildren, Twila Smith of Tupelo, Allison Stegall (Randy) of Pontotoc, Derek Keith of Palmetto, Robin Carter (Bart) of Dorsey, Nathan Cullum (Alison) of Oxford, Taylor Riley of Shannon, Cassidy Cullum of Saltillo, Nichole Doss of Tupelo; seven great-grandchildren, Rhett and McKinley Stegall, Breanna, Victoria and Gage Keith, John and Bryson Carter; three brothers, Rush Robbins, Delbert Robbins (Shirley) and James Robbins (Debbie) all of Tupelo; three sisters, Virginia Buse, Flora Sanders (John) and Alice Williams (Buddy) all of Saltillo; father of her children, William V. Cullum of Saltillo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hausie “H.D.” and Martha Harris Robbins; one sister, Lola Mae Robbins; sisters-in-law, Jo Nell, Vernice Robbins, Pearl Loyd, Winnie Pope and Grace Morgan; brother-in-laws, Grady Buse and Frank Cullum.
Pallbearers will be Derek Keith, Nathan Cullum, Rhett Stegall, Channing and Nicholas Tutor and Anthony Buse.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Long and members of her church, Frendship Baptist Church.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. today December 23, 2012, at the funeral home.

Dwight Barnett
DERMA – Dwight Barnett died Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at his home. He was born Oct. 24, 1956, in Vardaman to Milton and Martha Barnett. He was a carpenter and an electrician. He served in the National Guard for nine years and attended Thorn Church of God.
A memorial service will be held at at later date. Southern Funeral Chapel of Houston is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include one son, Brandon Barnett and Kathryn of Eupora; one daughter, Leigh Ann Barnett of Woodland; two stepchildren, Keith Chadwick of Amite, La. and Tammy Partridge and Hubbard of Jackson; five grandchildren, Kason Grant Barnett, Jadyn Weaver, Cameron Kilgore, Dillon Ferguson and Anna Clair Cole; three sisters, Marty Parker and Larry of Mantee, Barbara Moore and Larry of Houston and Brenda Russell and Buster of Derma; and one brother, Jimmy Lynn Barnett of Derma.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Barnett; his parents, Milton and Martha Barnett; and two brothers, Kenneth Barnett and Robert Earl Barnett.
Lettress Ward
TISHOMINGO – Lettress Ward, 92, died Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at Darlington Oaks Community Hospice in Verona. She was a member of Paden Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, her flowers, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka with Bro. Robbie Crane officiating. Burial will be in Tishomingo Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include two daughters, Patsy Waddle (Tommy) of Golden and Peggy Rohloff (Rodger) of Iuka; one brother, Quinton Crow (Gloria) of Florence, Ala.; five grandchildren, Marcia Wegmann (Gerald), Ricky Pruitt (Toni), Billy Pruitt (Cassandra), Terri Pruitt (David), and David Belue (Angie); 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bevin Ward; her parents, Sidney and Ada Mae Crow; three brothers, Lamoise, Horace, and Myres Crow; and her sister, Merror King.
Pallbearers will be Roy Crow, Perry Young, David Belue, Ricky Pruitt, Billy Pruitt, and Blake Holt.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. today at the funeral home in Iuka.

Trellis Blanton
HAMILTON – Trellis Nolen Blanton, 76, died Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at Darlington Oaks Community Hospice in Verona. He was born Feb. 26, 1936, in Sturgis to William Blanton and Elba Tyler Blanton. He moved to Hamilton in November of 1970. He retired from the Air Force as an Air Traffic Controller and was a Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of Center Hill Baptist Church where he was an inactive deacon.
Services, with military honors, will be at 2 p.m. today at Center Hill Baptist Church with Bro. Terry Edwards, Alan Oliver and Bro. Mark Thornton officiating. Burial will be in Center Hill Cemetery. Tisdale-Lann Memorial of Aberdeen is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Monica Russell Blanton of Hamilton; two daughters, Margaret Oliver and husband, Lonnie of Hamilton and Mary Steele and husband, Richard of Comanche, Okla.; two sons, Kenneth Blanton and wife, Amanda of Hamilton and Keith Blanton and wife, Angela of Hamilton; one sister, Grace Howell and husband, Richard of Starkville; two brothers, twin brother, Ellis Blanton and wife, Linda of Columbus and Jack Blanton and wife, Jenny of Walls; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters; three brothers; one granddaughter, Alana Mills; and one great-grandson, Colby Regan.
Pallbearers will be family.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time today at the church.

CORINTH – Nelda Hanley Wood died Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at Sanctuary Hospice House.

BRUCE – William Earl Wright, 62, died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at his home. He was a member of Old town Baptist Church and a retired plant manager of Westwood Furniture Tupelo.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Bruce with Bro. Robert Earl Alexander and Bro. Johnny Cherry officiating. Burial will be in Pinecrest Memorial Garden Cemetery in Pittsboro. Parker Memorial Funeral Home of Bruce is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Kay Baker Wright; daughter, Paula Wright Patton; son-in-law, Tommy Patton of Pittsboro; sons, Bryan Earl Wright, William Mark Wright, both of Pittsboro; brother, Bro. Ervin Wright and wife, Peggy Wright of Calhoun City; and mother-in-law, Josey Baker of Houston.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ervin Cleo Wright and Mable Spratlin Wright; sisters-in-law, Patsy Ruth Mills and Barbara Ann Winters; father-in-law, Ruble Baker; and nephew, Steven Greg Wright.
Pallbearers will be Ted Easley, Don White, Richard Earl Murphree, Scott Cannon, Steven Winter, and Benny Baker.
Honorary pallbearers will be Sammy Baker, Ben Johnson and Bobby Cannon.

Nell Ford
WHEELER – Nell Ford, 77, died Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at her home. She was raised in the Pratts Community and graduated from Baldwyn High School. She retired after working at the Senior Citizens Center and was a member of Wheeler United Methodist Church. She enjoyed keeping her grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Waters Funeral Home with Bro. Ricky Bishop officiating. Burial will be in Prentiss Gardens. Waters Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include two daughters, Debbie Perrotta (Joe) of Lawrenceville, Ga. and Cathy Frederick (Benny) of Wheeler; grandchildren, Danielle Frederick (Andy Walker), Nick Perrotta, Trevor Frederick and Andrew Perrotta; stepsons, Jerry Ford (Ann Marie) of Booneville, Mike Ford (Cindy) of Baldwyn; step-grandchildren, Shea Ford (Lori) and Anna Beth Ford; and special friend, J.P. Davis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mac Ford; son, Danny Wright; parents, Jesse and Effie Yarbrough; one brother; and three sisters.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Johnson, Bill Woodruff, Sammy Frederick, Andy Walker, Joe Perrotta and Nick Perrotta.

Dr. Robert T. Lott
WEST POINT – Dr. Robert T. Lott, 81, died, Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at his home in West Point. Robert Townsend Lott was born Dec. 16, 1931, in Kilmichael to Glynn Aileen Townsend and Yancy Marion Lott Sr. Dr. Lott was a family physician in general surgery practice from 1956 until 2002. He had also served as a doctor in the United States Air Force and was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Memorial funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church in West Point with the Rev. Jeff Shannon officiating. Interment will follow at a later date and time in Kilmichael. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Essary Lott in 1963. Dr. Lott married Carolyn Ann Vickers on May 19, 1964.
Survivors include wife, Carolyn Ann Vickers Lott of West Point; three daughters, Cynthia Ann Lott Neely (Keith Lee), Martha Glynn Lott Caskey (John Patrick), Pamela Vickers Lott Baird, all of West Point; two sons, David Lamar Lott (Betsy) of West Point, Steven Bryan Lott of Washington, D.C.; nine grandchildren, Charla Lee, Townsend Neely, Jessica Lott, Robert Clark Lott, George Lott, Jordan Caskey, Frances Caskey, Hannah Baird and Lilli Baird; and two great-grandchildren, Matthew Lee and Sophia Lee; one sister, Mary Glynn Walters of Indianapolis, Ind.; two brothers, Yancy Marion Lott Jr. (Helen) of Kilmichael and Thomas L. Lott (Barbara) of Kilmichael.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Sewell Gunn
WALNUT – Henry Sewell Gunn, 90, died Dec. 21, 2012, at Tippah County Nursing Home in Ripley. He was born March 24, 1922, to Henry Herman and Mamie Lee Godwin Gunn in Tippah County. He was a retired farmer and a member of Walnut Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was also a United States Army Veteran serving during World War II.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at McBride Funeral Home Chapel in Ripley with Bro. Jesse Cutrer and Mr. Butch Weatherly officiating. Burial will be in Harmony Cemetery in Walnut. McBride Funeral Home of Ripley is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include three daughters, Nelda Barnes of Corinth, Lisa Voyles of Ripley, and Shelly Stanley (Terry) of Belmont; one son, Sewell Wayne Gunn (Deb) of Waynesboro, Tenn.; two stepdaughters, Doris Sartain of St. Petersburg, Fla. and Martha Goolsby (Lonnie) of Ripley; one stepson, Joe Brown (Frances) of Walnut; one stepson-in-law, R.L. McKee of Walnut; one brother, Larry Gunn (Ossie) of Walnut; two sisters-in-law, Kathyrn Gunn of Walnut and Hermie Bennett of Walnut; special family member, Jimmy Gunn of Walnut; 13 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Zevie Sue Eubanks; his second wife, Amy Iris Keith Brown Gunn; his parents; one daughter, Marlene Gunn; one stepdaughter, Virginia “Gen” McKee; two granddaughters, Susan Gunn and Kimberly Iris Mauney; one son-in-law, Charles Barnes; two brothers, Curtis and Raymond Gunn; and one sister, Mavis Simmons.
