Ralph Elliott
CEDAR BLUFF – Ralph Hickman “Bubba” Elliott, 60, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2012, at his home, in Cedar Bluff. He was born June 9, 1952, in Clay County to Birdie Ruth Reid and Ralph H. Elliott Sr. He was the owner of Elliott Trucking, contracted with FedEx Ground for over 20 years. He was a member of the Christian Church. He married Susan Marie Jordan Elliott on Jan. 30, 1972, in West Point.
Family funeral services were held with the Rev. Charlie Simmons officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery in West Point. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Susan Marie Jordan Elliott of Cedar Bluff; his daughter, Allison Elliott Sackett (Darren) of Huntsville, Ala.; his son, Justin Elliott (Jamie) of Starkville; four grandchildren, Ella Elliott, Wilson Elliott, Mattie Sackett and Kinsey Sackett; one sister, Kitty Elliott Murks (Wayne) of Covington, La.; his uncle, Edmond B. “Uncle Bubba” Reid of Cedar Bluff.
Pallbearers were David Norris, John Elliott, Terry Scott, Oliver Wright, Mike Dexter and Johnny Byrd.
Honorary pallbearers were Carl Bryan, Eddie Scott, Lewis Stafford, Kenneth Byrd, Les Pollard and Gary Dedeaux.

Kathy Jackson
FULTON – Kathy Rial Jackson, 60, died Friday, Dec. 28, 2012. She was born on Oct. 31, 1952, to Roy and Katherine Payne Rial. She was a member of the Itawamba Christian Church. She was an employee of Sprint Mart for 13 years. She loved to cook, watch Food Network and loved her kids and grandkids.
Service is at 3 p.m. today at Senter Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jim Wisemer and Mike Deaton officiating. Interment is in Fulton City Cemetery.
She is survived by her daughter, Kayla Tucker (Nick) of Fulton; sons, Derek Dulaney (Jessica) of Fulton and Jace Dulaney (Tabatha) of Fulton; grandkids, Jimmy, Johnny, Austin, Micah, Laken, Rialey Gage, and Westin; great-grandchildren, Keely and Kolton; brother, Steve Rial (Lavonna) of Savannah, Texas; and special friends, Tammy Tucker, Fay Mauldin, Lori Beth Gray and Angie Wilson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, T.D. Jackson.
Pallbearers are Chris Graham, Jimmy, Johnny, Austin Dulaney and Mike Hargett.
Visitation is 11 a.m. until service time today.

CORINTH – William C. Smith, 63, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at Magnolia Regional. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Corinthian Funeral Home.
Timothy Shumpert
FULTON – Timothy Shumpert, 42, died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2012. He was born on Sept. 13,1970, in Tupelo to Mr. Leon Westbrook and Fannie Shumpert Turner. He confessed a hope in Christ at early age and joined Pine Grove M.B.Church in Fulton where he remained a member. He was a 1989 graduate of Itawamba Agricultural High School. He was employed by Bahaus and KI for a number of years.
Services are at 2 p.m. Monday at Dorsey Attendance Center Gymnasium in Fulton with the Rev. Greg Pegues officiating.
He is survived by his loving wife, Pearline Shumpert; his mother, Fannie Turner of Fulton; the children that he raised, Anna Marion (Kendell) and Kevin Senter (Jacqueline), both of Plantersville, Joseph Senter (Christy) of Dorsey and Denise Riley (Donnell) of Shannon; and brothers and sisters, Terry Holland of Detroit, Mich., April Westbrook, Kenny Westbrook (Catrina) and Samantha Robinson (Anthony), all of Oklahoma City.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leo Westbrook.

Agnes Tipton
AUBURN COMMUNITY – Agnes Mae Tipton, 82, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born in Friars Point, on May 16, 1930, to James Cecil and Mary Katherine McCullum Bass. On April 26, 1968, she married Robert R. Tipton in Greenville and for the past 30 years lived in the Auburn Community. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. Her hobbies included cooking, sewing and fishing. She was a member of Hughes Chapel Baptist Church.
Services were at noon Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at the Saltillo Chapel of W.E. Pegues with the Rev. John Stevens and the Rev. Brenda G. Harrison officiating. Graveside services followed in Valley Grove Cemetery with the Rev. Chris Stacks officiating.
Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Robert R.Tipton of the Auburn community; four daughters, Velma J. West of Tupelo, Brenda G. Harrison (Richard) of Klamath Falls, Ore., Barbara S. McMillen of Auburn Community and Sherry A. Wright (James Wright Jr.) of the Auburn Community; one son, James S. Hester of Auburn Community; one brother, James E. Bass (Dorothy) of the Auburn Community; six sisters, Lea Voyles of Pontotoc, Lottie B. Norman of the Auburn Community, Betty S. Bass of the Auburn Community, Joyce Seroggins (Wayne) of Pontotoc, Jeanette Stacks (Forrest) of Saltillo and Glenda J. Kerr (Loyd) of Orangeburg, Fla.; 22 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, James Robert Hester and Eddie A. Hester; two brothers, Rev. Ottis Bass and Bayward Bass; and her first husband and father of her children, Holly S. Hester.
Pallbearers were Richard A. Harrison Jr., Billy Wayne Bishop, Charles E. Sutherland, Kiefer Sutherland, Kevin W. George and Terry Joe Hardin II. Honorary pallbearers were James G. Wright III and Eddie H. Hester.
Visitation was 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, December 28, 2012, at the funeral home.

George Gilliam
POTTS CAMP – George Veryl Gilliam, 81, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012. He was born June 29, 1931 in Potts Camp. He was a loving father and PaPa and best friend to his dog, Izzie. He was a proud Army veteran, loved Jesus and enjoyed watching Braves baseball.
He is survived by his children, Garry (Liz) Gilliam of Anchorage, Alaska, Beverly (Charles) Pennington of Bowling Green, Ky., Sheila (Dan) Prior of Bartlett Tenn., and Robin (Anthony) Henry of Cordova Tenn.; 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and his brother, Arnold Gilliam of Blue Springs.
A celebration of life gathering will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Faith Baptist Church, 3755 North Germantown Rd., Bartlett, Tenn. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Holly Springs Funeral Home in Holly Springs. Graveside services will follow in Cornersville Cemetery.
Visitation will be prior to services at 10 a.m.
Marie McKinney-Williams
BLUE SPRINGS – Marie Annette McKinney-Williams, 47, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. A native of Tupelo, she was the daughter of Bettie Jean McKinney and the late Curtis McKinney Sr. She was a 1984 graduate of Saltillo High School and a former teacher, advisor and assistant director at Wilson Riles Preschool Coordinating Council in Pittsburg, Calif. She also worked with children at L.I.F.T. Inc. in Tupelo. She was a member of Hopewell MB Church in Belden where she was past Sunday School teacher and Wednesday night youth teacher.
Celebration of life services will be at 2 p.m. today at Red Hill MB Church in Blue Springs. The Rev. Curtis McKinney, Jr. will deliver the eulogy. Burial will be in Red Hill Community Cemetery. Kenneth I. Roberson Funeral Home of Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.
She is survived by her husband, Bobby Joe Williams of Blue Springs; her mother, Bettie Jean McKinney of Tupelo; two foster children; four sisters, Angela (Charles) Glasper, Dorothy McKinney (finace’ Craig) and Andrea (Lawrence) Webster, all of Antioch, Calif., and Prenita McKinney of Tupelo; three sons, the Rev. Curtis (Melanie) McKinney Jr. of Tupelo, Tresher (Lue) McKinney of Okolona and Arlandors (Penelope) McKinney of Guntown; and her mother-in-law, Annie Pearl Northington of Tupelo.
She was preceded in death by her father; and nephew, Jonathan LaNorris McKinney.
Maudie Moore
BOONEVILLE – Maudie Annie Ward Moore, 96, died Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at her home in Booneville. She was born Oct. 9, 1916, to Will and Leona Ward. She lived a long and full life. She enjoyed quilting and spending time with her family.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today at the McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Danny Short officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
She is survived by a daughter, Irene Campbell of Haleyville, Ala.; four sons, Jerry (Barbara) Moore of Booneville, Raymond (Marie) Moore of Wheeler, Ray (Virginia) Moore of Wheeler and Dayton (Olene) Moore of Sulligent, Ala.; two daughters-in-law, Linnie Moore of Haleyville, Ala., and Susan Moore of New Site; 18 grandchildren; 37 great-gandchildren; 25 great-great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-great-grandchildren; and one niece and caregiver, Jane Moore.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Otto Moore; two sons, Buford Moore and Jimmy Moore; and two brothers.
Pallbearers are Russell Moore, Ronell Moore, Jay Moore, Michel Moore, Neal Johnson and Jody Thompson.

CORINTH – Warren Williams Jr., 51, died Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.

Rocky Edge
BALDWYN – Rocky Edge, 57, died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He worked for the city of Verona for 14 years and later started his own lawnmower repair business. He was a loving daddy and husband. He enjoyed camping and fishing and loved spending time with his family.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Kesler Funeral Home Chapel in Baldwyn with Bro. Roger Reeder officating. Burial will be in Unity Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Linda Edge of Baldwyn; two daughters, Michelle Casto (Brandon) of Shannon and Melisa Denton (Chris) of Ecru; one son, Charles Edge of Baldwyn; two brothers, Roy Edge (Kay) of Mantachie and Clem Edge (Patty) of Skyine; four sisters, Lynn McCullough (Billy) of New Site, Mary Edge (Todd Jefferies) of Saltillo, Margaret Griffin of Skyline and Deborah Brooks(Michael) of Mooreville; four grandchildren; and mother, Rose McCullough (David) of Saltillo.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leroy Edge.

Mandy McCarley
VINA, Ala. – Mandy McCarley, 34, died Friday, Dec. 28, 2012.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Hodges Convention Baptist Church. Burial will be in Holly Springs Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home in Red Bay, Ala., will be in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will continue until service time on Sunday at the church.
Lesley Stewart
OXFORD – Lesley Lonnie Stewart, 100, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at Mississippi State Veterans Home in Oxford. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during World War II. Along with owning Oxford Milling Company, he was a former school teacher and cattleman. He graduated from College Hill High School and Chickasaw Junior College and attended the University of Mississippi and also Mississippi College. He was a member and Deacon of New El Bethel Baptist Church and was also a member of Lafayette County and Mississippi Cattlemen’s Associations.
Service will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Waller Funeral Home with the Rev. Johnny Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in New El Bethel Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Laverne Stewart of Oxford; his daughter, Patricia Freeman; three grandchildren, Judy Newsom, Dudley Freeman and Greg Freeman, all of Amarillo, Texas; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation is 12:30 to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
In honor of his service to his country, the flag of the United States Army will be flown at Waller Funeral Home.

RIENZI – Billy Leroy “Billy Roy” Johnson, 71, of Rienzi died Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at home. He was born Feb. 20, 1941, to Curtis and Mary Eaton Johnson. He was retired from the US Army Corps of Engineers and was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam Era. He attended Mills Community Baptist Church.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Donny Davis and Larry Clayton officiating. Burial will be in the Antioch No. 2 Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy Johnson; two daughters, Katrina (Allan) Oglesby of Minden, La., and Deloris (Charleston) Grizzard of Rienzi; two sons, James (Reina) Johnson and Damon (Renea) Johnson, both of Rienzi; five sisters, Lola Bearden and Sue Wren, both of Corinth, Bobbie Jean Martin of Evansville, Ind., and Delinda Hamm and Peggy Johnson, both of Burnsville; one brother, Stanley Curtis “Onion” Johnson of Booneville; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Judy Parsons
TUPELO – Judy Evans Parsons died Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at her residence. A native and lifelong resident of Tupelo, she was the daughter of William Edgar and Annie Burress Evans. She was married to Lt. Col. Harold Parsons, Miss. Army National Guard, Ret., who preceded her in death. She retired from South Central Ball after 30 years of service. She enjoyed interior designing, decorating and loved shopping at Pier One Imports and Hobby Lobby. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church in Tupelo where she attended the adult singles Sunday school class.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with the Rev. Dave Jenson officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.
Survivors include one daughter, Julie Anna McAdory of Madison; one sister, Janet Evans Brazelton (Danny D. Brazelton Sr.) of Paris, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Jason Evans Rinehart, Jimmy McAdory and Jessica Rinehart Redden; three great-grandchildren, Michael and Meghan Rahner and Hannah Redden; and her nieces and nephews, Ann Savery Lyons, Jim Savery, Danny Brazelton Jr., Jenny Brazelton Shuler, Edgar Pearson Brazelton, Jill Brazelton McDonald and Gay Nell Brazelton Gore.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Mark Evans Rinehart and Billy Dale Jay Rinehart Jr.; one sister, Joan Evans Savery; and two grandchildren.

William White
PONTOTOC – William Floyd White, 50, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, at the Pemiscot Memorial Health Systems Hospital in Hayti, Mo. He was born in Marks, to William Herman White and Marilyn Smith White, on May 27, 1962. He was a member and attended the Nazarene Church.
Services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Baldwin Nowell Funeral Home Chapel of Pontotoc with Bro. Brandon Murphy officiating. Graveside service followed in the Antioch Cemetery.
He leaves behind his mother, Marilyn Smith White; two daughters, Virginia Ann White of Senatobia and Pamela Ann Self (James) of Hickory Flat; two sons, William Floyd White Jr. (Katie)of Vancleave and Charles Michael Benning (Sonja) of Crenshaw; three sisters, Norma Sue Whittle (Andrew) of Senatobia, Mary Whittle (Rodger) of Senatobia and Melinda Tallent (David) of Senatobia; two brothers, Steve White (Betty) of Byhalia and Jimmy White (Glenda) of Anniston, Ala.; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father.

Noonan Johnson
FULTON – Noonan E. Johnson, 83, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at his residence. He was born on April 8, 1929, to Claude and Alice Hood Johnson in Fulton. He enjoyed being outdoors, gardening and playing the guitar.
Service is at 1 p.m. Monday at Senter Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bill Adams officiating. Interment is at Sandy Springs Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mae Dell Johnson of Fulton; daughters, Debbie Adams (Rick) of Fulton and Sherry Lindsey of Fulton; son, Danny Johnson (Janice) of Fulton; grandchildren, Vickie Elrod (Steve), Dustin Johnson, CJ Adams (Kristin) and Lee Adams (Morgan); great-grandchildren, Sarabeth Elrod, Nathan Elrod and Emmy Adams; and sister, Nell Spencer of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Eunell Orear, Lellar Stephens and Ovie Spencer; and brothers, Hassell Johnson and Flavous Johnson.
Pallbearers are Dale White, Daris White, Jeff Hill, Keith Johnson, Kenneth Lindsey, Marty Johnson, Frankie Lindsey and Ray Spencer.

Carl Bruce
STARKVILLE – Carl George Bruce, 83, passed away, on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at OCH Regional Hospital in Starkville. He was born Feb. 9, 1929, in Weir, to Clara Blaine and Carl B. Bruce. He worked with Continental Baking Company for 30 years in Clarksdale where he was a former resident. He was a member of the Methodist Church and had served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Pheba Cemetery at Pheba.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Ann McGee Bruce of Starkville; two nieces, Evelyn McGee and Linda Wade (Darren); twin great-nieces, Lindsey and Lauryl Wade; great-nephew, Craig Wade; one sister, Elsie Bruce of Ackerman: and one brother, Kenneth Bruce of Weir.
Pallbearers will be Robert White, Tommy Millsaps, Dale Bigham, Wade McCullough, Brad Vaughn and Larry McClure. Honorary pallbearers will be H.D. King, John Fondren, Mac Moody, Gully and Georgia Warren and his friends at Vickers Personal Care Home.

EUPORA – Henry Allen Knight, 78, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at Mississippi State Veteran Home in Oxford.

Johnny Beard
WEST POINT – John “Johnny” Beard, 61, died Satruday, Dec. 29, 1012, at his residence. He was born Aug. 31, 1951 in Kenosha, Wis., to J.T. and Nell Wiygul Beard. He was a Chemical Engineer in the chemical industry for several years. He was a member of the A.I.C.H.E. and I.E.E.E. Associations. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and was an avid Mississippi State University fan.
Services are at 3 p.m. Monday at Senter Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Scott Nicholson officiating. Interment is at Itawamba Memorial Garden.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Brenda Beard; one son, John Allen Beard of West Point; one daughter, Amanda Susan Beard of West Point; two sisters, Glenda Gray(Robert) of Fulton and Brenda Summers(Larry) of Yazoo City; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Leigh Putt
PONTOTOC – Leigh Ann Cruse Putt, 42, died Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was born Oct. 24, 1970, to Mike and Pat Cruse. She attended Pontotoc High School. She loved spending time with her only granddaughter, family and friends and living life to the fullest. She enjoyed going to the beach, working in her garden and riding horses.
Services are at 2 p.m. today at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Erin Grant officiating. Interment is at Cruse Cemetery.
She is survived by her daughter, Candy Simpson (Jason); two sons, Hunter Lewis and Joey Putt; one granddaughter, AceLynn Simpson; her parents; grandmother, Yvonne Cruse, sisters, Tracy Miller, Cathy Snow (Mike) and Tina Orman (David); two great-nieces; and a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Eugene (Fuzzy) Cruse; Maternal grandparents, Max and Christine Gordon and Howard Hamm.
Pallbearers are David Phillips, Chad Hamm, Brandan Collums, Billy Savage, Jamy Souler and Taco. Honorary pallbearers are Jay Scott and Shane Cayson.
