Johnny Edwards
SHANNON – Johnny Edwards, 78, died Feb. 11, 2010, at the Community Hospice House in Verona. He was the son of Johnny V. Edwards and Callie Harper Edwards. He was born July 16, 1931, in Lee County
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Agnew & Sons Funeral Home in Verona with the Rev. Marvin McWhorther officiating. Burial will be in the Palmetto Cemetery. Agnew & Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Estella Edwards of Tupelo; four daughters; six sons; 16 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one uncle, Sonny Harper of Los Angeles.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Mattie Bush; and one son, Terry Edwards.

Bob Pullam
RIPLEY – James Robert ‘Bob’ Pullam, 73, died Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010, at Rest Haven Nursing Home in Ripley. He attended Arkansas State University and graduated from Columbia College in Columbia, Mo. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force, serving four years in Germany and Alaska. He retired as a claims representative for Shelter Insurance. He was a member of Palmer Baptist Church.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at McBride Funeral Home Chapel in Ripley with Bro. Richie Hatcher officiating. Burial will be in Palmer Cemetery in Ripley. McBride Funeral Home in Ripley is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Heavener Bruce Pullam of Ripley; one son, Bobby Pullam of Piedmont, Mo.; two stepdaughters, JoBeth Bruce Akins (Ken) of Ripley and Meg Bruce of Tupelo; two brothers, Jimmy Charles Pullam of Braggadocio, Mo. and Richard Keith Pullam (Crystal) of Memphis; three sisters, Kathryn Strothers (Jerry) of Austin, Texas, Treva Pullam of Braggadocio, Mo. and Carol Lewis (Tommy) of Ocala, Fla.; six grandchildren, Zack, Cody, Lauren, Lynsey and Jenny Pullam and Becky Burchett, all of Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Henry and Audrey Cole Pullam.
Pallbearers will be John Edd Brotherton, Larry Elder, Brent Heavener, Perry Malone, Dale Mauney and Carl Watkins.
Visitation will be from 7 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.

Ruby Talley
COLLIERVILLE – Ruby E. Lucken Talley, 87, died Sunday, Feb. 14, 2010, at Select Specialty Hospital/St. Francis Hospital in Memphis. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Magnolia Funeral Home in Corinth.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010, at the funeral home.
Joyce Williams
OXFORD – Joyce Ann Williams, 63, , died Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010, at her home in Oxford. Born in Oxford, she was a member of Old Liberty Hill Church. She retired from West Union School Cafeteria. She loved her family and had a special love for her grandson.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Old Liberty Hill Church with Bro. Robbie Long officiating. Burial will follow in Christian Rest Cemetery. Waller Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her husband, Wanzie Williams of Oxford; one daughter, Hope Hill and her husband, Scott of Etta; six sisters, Jenny Bishop of New Albany, Beulah Bishop of New Albany, Irene Williams of Thaxton, Clara Goolsby of Oxford, Kathleen Grose of Myrtle and Francis Cook of Oxford; two brothers, George Bishop and David Bishop, both of Oxford; and one grandchild, Christopher Mark Hill of Etta.
She was preceded in death by her son, Mark Williams; and her grandson, Jeffry Hill.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Waller Funeral Home and from 10:00 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the church.

Milburn McCoy
MEMPHIS – Milburn Burns McCoy, 84, died Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010, at Collierville Health and Rehab in Collierville.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Pontotoc Memorial Gardens in Pontotoc. Browning Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

MYRTLE – William Winfield Cobb, 77, died Feb. 1, 2010, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union County. Serenity Funeral Home of New Albany is in charge of arrangements.

Elbert Beard
TROY – Elbert Beard, 75, died Sunday, Feb. 14, 2010, at the North Mississippi Medical Center after an extended illness. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Lee Memorial Funeral Home.
C.R. Gillentine
DORSEY – Charlie Richard ‘C.R.’ Gillentine, 91, died Saturday Feb. 13, 2010, at his home. He was born Sept. 20,1918, in Itawamba County to John and Hassie Moore Gillentine. He was a longtime member of Greenwood Baptist Church. He worked at Evans Lumber Co. for 37 years. He retired for one year then went back to work. He worked at Danny Thomas’s Lumber Mill and Pitts Cabinets for the past 12 years before retiring for the second time four years ago. He enjoyed all woodworking, especially swings, quilt racks and making furniture.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Gary O’Neal and Bro. Milton Wright officiating. Burial will be in Keyes cemetery.
Survivors include his wife of 72 years, Ruth Walton Gillentine; two sons, Richard Gillentine Jr. (Donna), of Dorsey and Rodney M. Gillentine (Corinne) of Hattiesburg; one sister, Eppell Brown of Carolina; five grandchildren, Ricky Gillentine (Tammy) of Dorsey, Cindy Gillentine Collier (Steve) of Iuka, Michael Gillentine (Josie), Matt Gillentine, both of Tupelo and Romona Gillentine of Oxford; five great-grandchildren, Nikkie Gillentine Kelley, Brittney Gillentine, Justin Gillentine, Holly Little and Kayla Collier; and two great-great-grandchildren, Kira Kelly and Ayden Kelly.
He was preceded in death by two Brothers, Voy and Johnny Gillentine; and three sisters, Princess Enlow, Lillie Mae Lindsey and Randolia Yielding.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Gillentine, Michael Gillentine, Matt Gillentine, Steve Collier, Robert Parker and James Brown.
