Sharon Yopp
ABBEVILLE – Sharon L. Yopp, 57, died Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010 at her home.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Coleman Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Coleman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Hazel LeClair
FULTON – Hazel LeClair, 83, died Sunday, Jan. 24, 2010, at her home. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Senter Funeral Home in Fulton.
Charles Langford
AMORY – Charles D. Langford, 81, died Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010, in Amory. He was born April 22, 1928, in West Point to James W. and Vivian Rachels Langford. He married Emma Miller in 1987, who survives. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the First Baptist Church in Amory where he sang in the choir. He was a retired real estate agent and farmer. He enjoyed bowling, camping and fishing.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church in Amory with Dr. Allen Simpson and Rev. Jimmy McFatter officiating. E.E. Pickle Funeral Home of Amory is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Emma Langford of Amory; two sons, Donald Langford of Texas and Frank Hardy Langford; two stepsons, Herbert Knight (Yvonne) of Seattle, Wash. and Curtis Knight (Tina) of Amory; three step-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Gordon and Billy Langford.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the church.

Mary Grace
HAMILTON – Mary Aline Cantrell Grace, 89, died Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010, at Trinity Health Care in Columbus. She was born July 24, 1920, to Gladys Scott Coy in Monroe County. She lived most of her life in Monroe County where she retired as Credit Manager at Sears and Roebuck. She also worked as a teller for Bancorp South Bank. She was a member of Aberdeen First Baptist Church, Mississippi Farm Bureau and the Town and Country Club.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today in the Tisdale-Lann Memorial Chapel in Aberdeen with the Rev. Roy McKay, the Rev. Chris Thomas and the Rev. Ron McDougald officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include one daughter, Carolyn Siegel and her husband, Larry of Metarie, La.; two grandchildren, Patricia Ratliff and her husband, Alan of Houston, Texas and Amy Hauck and her husband, Dan of Metarie, La.; one great-grandchild, Vivian Hauck; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Madison Grace; and one sister, Faye Dell Thomas.
Pallbearers will be Walter Wilson, Mark Barber, Jimmy Grace, Jerry Grace, Charles Grace and Jason Grace.

Calvin Gatlin
HICKORY FLAT – Calvin Eugene Gatlin, 70, died Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010, at his residence. He was born August 21, 1939, in Idelville Atoka, Tennessee to Robert L. Gatlin and Bessie Elizabeth Wiseman. He was retired from the Shelby County Road and Bridges Department as a heavy equipment operator and lowboy truck driver. He was a Pentecostal.
Services for Mr. Gatlin will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at United Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Keith Williams officiating. Burial will be in the Ebenezer Methodist Cemetery. United Funeral Service in New Albany is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Jennifer E. Gatlin of Ripley, Tenn.; three daughters, Sandy Gatlin, Connie Hawkins (Stan) and Tammy Ammons (Steve), all of Ripley, Tenn.; two sons, Mark Hogeland of Drummonds, Tenn. and J.R. Hogeland of Ripley, Tenn.; a sister, Bobbie Turner of Cartersville, Ill.; two brothers, Richard Gatlin of Hernando, and Frank Elliott of Hickory Flat; 14 grandchildren, Adam, Ashley, Eric, and Nick Hogeland, Rachel Heflin, Teth, Stefanie and Sayra Beth Ammons, Chris and Brooke Hogeland, Emily Hawkins, Alan and Dalton Uselton and Tristan Gatlin; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Ann Cross, Martha Sawyer, Camie Smith and Yvonne Elliott; three brothers, Jerry Dean Gatlin, Bill Gatlin and Barrett Gatlin; and one great-grandson, Conner Wade Ammons.
Pallbearers will be Austin Speck, Tyler Speck, Terry Elliott, Frank Elliott, David Niven, Stan Vanzant and Gary McCollum.

Ursula Hood
TISHOMINGO – Ursula U. Hood, 92, died Sunday, Jan. 24, 2010, at the Iuka Hospital. She was born Dec. 5, 1917, in Tishomingo to John Oscar and Ercel Blunt Underwood. She was a retired school teacher, having taught at Forrest Grove, Tishomingo and Red Bay. She was a member of Tishomingo Baptist Church.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Belmont with Bro. Robbie Crane officiating. Burial will be in Tishomingo City Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home in Belmont is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her son, Thomas Harold Hood Jr. (Monna Sue) of Florence, Ala.; one granddaughter, Tara Roberson (Paul) of Florence, Ala.; two great-grandsons, Ross Roberson and Owen Roberson; two sisters, Ruth Bowen and Margaret Underwood, both of Tishomingo; three brothers, Harold Underwood (Martha) of Harriman, Tenn., Karl Underwood (Kathy) of Tupelo and Kenneth Underwood of Aberdeen; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, J.O. Underwood Jr., Bluford Underwood, Arch Underwood and James Francis Underwood.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today and until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
Doris Gresham
NEW ALBANY – Doris Stark Gresham, 77, died Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010, at her residence. She was born July 22, 1932, in Brooklyn, N.Y. to Henry and Gladys Stark. She graduated from Grover Cleveland High School in Brooklyn and attended nursing school in Jersey City, N.J. She received her B.A., M..S. and N.P. at Texas Women’s University in Arlington, Texas. She retired as a nurse practitioner from Parkland Hospital in Dallas,Texas and then worked for Baylor Health Care in Irving, Texas.
She met and married William ‘Bill’ Gresham in 1956, and was married in Munich, Germany on July 22, 1956. They lived in both Germany and France. She loved traveling (she had traveled in the contiguous 48 states), her pet cats, dogs and cockatiel.
Graveside services for Mrs. Gresham will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Glenfield Memorial Park with the Rev. Jason Pellizzer officiating. United Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her husband, Bill Gresham.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a half-brother, Donald Stone (who died in a plane crash in 1943); and a brother, Ronald Stone.
Visitation will be from 5 til 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Evelyn Hoing
RANDOLPH – Evelyn Hoing died Sunday, Jan. 24, 2010, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was a member of St. Christopher’s Catholic Church in Pontotoc and a farmer’s wife. She enjoyed watching the birds and spending time with her family. She was a devout Catholic and loving mother who brought sunshine to everyone.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Christopher’s Catholic Church in Pontotoc with Father Tim Murphy officiating. Burial will be in the Glasgow/Hopewell Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her two daughters, Mary Holley (Ricky) and Paula Hanskiewicz (Al); her seven sons, Clarence Hoing (Cleo), Billy Hoing (Marilyn), Terry Hoing (Brenda), Kenny Hoing (Wilma), Barney Hoing, Tim Hoing (Sonia) and Michael Hoing (Missy); her sister, Leona Davis; her brother, Judson Houpt; 19 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Aplis Douglas Houpt; her husband, William Bernard Hoing; her Son, Wayne Hoing; her grandchildren, James Matthew Hoing and Anna Marie Hoing; and her sister, Ava Hall.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Hoing, Nathan Hoing, Galen Holley, Kyle Holley, Kevin Hoing and Daniel Hoing. Honorary pallbearers will be Alex Hoing, Andrew Hanskiewicz , Spencer Hanskiewicz and Matthew Wilkinson.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 12 to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Elsie Montgomery
WEST POINT – Elsie M. Montgomery, 91, died Sunday Jan. 24, 2010, at North Mississippi Medical Center in West Point. She was born Nov. 26, 1918, in West Point to Lillie Norris and Walter Murff. She was a member of First Baptist Church and The Order of the Eastern Star. She was retired from The Clay County Department of Human Services.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Robinson Funeral Home with the Rev. Barry Hathcock officiating.
She is survived by her sons, Roger Montgomery (Paulette) of Pascagoula and Pete Montgomery (Libby) of West Point; her daughter, Gail M. Youkon (Ron) of Van Buren, Ark.; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was Preceeded in death by her husband, James L. Montgomery; a daughter, Ellen Johnson; and a brother, Roger Murff.
Pallbearers will be Rob Montgomery, Jim Montgomery, Robert Prewitt, Scott Montgomery, Jerry Stockman and Mike Doss.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.

DRY CREEK – William A. Olive Jr., 72, died Thursday, Jan. 21, 2010, at his home after an extended illness. He was a self-employed construction worker and an avid coon hunter. He was a Baptist.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Waters Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Rex Bullock officiating. Burial will be in the County Line Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Hughes Olive of Dry Creek; four daughters, Alisha Carver (Shaun), Trisha Moore (Grady), both of Dry Creek, Tammy Joyce Nodus (Charles) of Burr Ridge, Ill.and Lois Marie Caviness (Johnnie); one son, Derrik ‘Moze’ Olive (Amy) of Dry Creek; one sister, Genell ‘Bell’ Tapp of Baldwyn; one brother, Gerald Olive of Dry Creek; 12 grandchildren, Amber Garner (John) of Booneville, Ashlee Martin (Daniel) of Booneville, Hannah Nodus, Charley Nodus, both of Burr Ridge, Ill., Devin Olive, Dustin Olive, Destin Olive, all of Dry Creek, Holly Moore, Ashley Grace Moore, Logan Moore, all of Dry Creek, Noah Carver and Kye Carver, both of Dry Creek; three great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Macy, and Nicholas Garner.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Olive Sr. and Amanda Holmes Olive; one sister, Rita Rachael Pannell; and one brother, Bobby E. Olive.
Pallbearers will be John Caviness, John Garner, Daniel Martin, Tim Barker, Ray Alexander and Anthony Copeland.
Honorary pallbearers will be his coon hunting friends, Bob Arnold, Billy Joe Blankenship, Jimmy Hill, Dennis Grisham, Cletus Robbins, Will Moore, Fuzz Moore, Junior Pannell, Mike Cole, Danny Roy Hodges and Dan Gardner.
