Quay Moore
BOONEVILLE – Dorothy Quay Moore, 66, died Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012, at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth. She was born April 23, 1945, to Elco Douglas and Dartha Aline Shubert Maness. She was a member of Jesus Name House of Prayer. She enjoyed yard sales, walking, going to church and spending time with her grandchildren.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at the McMillan Funeral Home Chapel in Booneville with Bro. Scotty Downs and Bro. Gene Colthorp officiating. Burial will be in Jesus Name House of Prayer Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Jimmy L. Moore; one son, Johnny (Brenda) Simms of Kossuth; three sisters, Alice Williams, Bertha Maness and Debra Voyles, all of Booneville; one brother, William “Sonny Boy” Maness of Booneville; and three grandchildren, John, Zoe and Riley Simms.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Pallbearers are Michael Williams, Gary Childs, John Simms, George Moore, Bedford Hargartt and Trent Spencer.

Jerry Robinson
INDIAN HILLS – Jerry Wayne Robinson, 72, died Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center after a short illness. A native of Lee County, he was born Aug. 24, 1939, to Frank and Ruth Vanderford Robinson. He retired as a truck driver after 33 years, finishing his last 15 years with Yellow Freight. Fishing and camping were some of his favorite hobbies. He was an avid carpenter and loved his grandchildren. He was a member of Beech Springs Freewill Baptist Church.
Services will be at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Sammy Lansdell officiating. A eulogy will be given by his son-in-law, Phillip Ponton. Burial will be in Tupelo Memorial Park.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Virginia Robinson of Wesley Cove in Indian Hills; two daughters, Carolyn Ponton (Phillip) of Beech Springs and Susan Robinson Bradley (Scott) of Saltillo; one sister, Dot Bowles (James) of Brewer; one brother, Ken Robinson (Marilyn) of Beech Springs; nine grandchildren, LeAnna Eckford, Melissa Ponton, Bud Cook, Tyler Cook, Justin Cook, Daniel Cook, Shelby Franks, Morgan Johnson and Bonnie Johnson; four great-grandchildren, Allie, Gracie, Addison and Meadow.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Randy Holt; one grandson, Jimmy Ponton; two brothers, Frank Robinson and Milton amp”Dudeamp” Robinson.
Pallbearers will be Bud Cook, Justin Cook, Tyler Cook, Daniel Cook, Rusty Boren, Andy Boren and Zack Boren.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bud Coley and Pat Abel, and his former co-workers at Yellow Freight.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

RIPLEY – Sallie Evelyn Brock, 73, died Monday, Jan. 30, 2012, at the Tippah County Hospital in Ripley. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by McBride Funeral Home in Ripley.
Orville K. Rodgers
TUPELO – Orville Kenneth Rodgers, 71, died Friday, Jan. 27, 2012, at Tupelo Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Tupelo on May 30, 1940, to Orville Doyle and Betty Pauline Johnston Rodgers. He liked to spend time with his family and grandchildren. He especially enjoyed fishing with his grandsons, Joshua and Curtis.
Graveside services were Monday, Jan. 30, at Priceville Cemetery with Rev. Ken Hester officiating. W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors was in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Della Jane Cunningham Rodgers; two children, Betty Lou Wiley and Curtis Rodgers; nine grandchildren, Joshua Rodgers of Tupelo, Curtis,Tabatha Ann, Kandy Ann, Cody and Casey Rodgers, Carl and Allen Dewayne Wiley, and Camry Rhyne; five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Orville F. Rodgers; and one sister and one brother.

Eddie Fannie Isom
HOLLY SPRINGS – Eddie Fannie Henderson Isom, 71, died Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto in Southaven.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Kimbrough Chapel M.B. Church in Holly Springs. Burial will be in the church cemetery. J.F. Brittenum amp& Son Funeral Home of Holly Springs is in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the family hour from 6 to 7 p.m. today. The body will lie in state at the church from 1 to 1:55 p.m.
Harold Jackson
DERMA – Harold Jackson, 61, died Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012, at Calhoun Health Services in Calhoun City.
Services will be at noon Saturday at Daniel Temple Church of God in Derma. Burial will be in the Shady Grove Cemetery at Vardaman. Belle Memorial Funeral Home of Bruce is in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Levert Ivy
HOUSTON – Levert Ivy, 53, died Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012, as the result of an automobile accident. He was born Nov. 23, 1959, to Christine Ivy and the late Prince Ivy. He received his education from the Clay County Schools. He was a member of Lower Prairie Creek M.B. Church. He was a former employee of Ashley and a current employee of United Furniture. A loving and caring person, he made everyone smile with his smile.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Lower Prairie Creek M.B. Church with the Rev. Eugene Ford officiating. Williams Memorial is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Angeline Gates Ivy of Houston; his mother, Christine Ivy of Okolona; two daughters, Demetria Gates and Shaketia Gates of Housotn; one son, Arzarius Ivy of Houston; eight sisters, Johnnie Hunter of Tupelo, Ruby Lofton of Savannah, Gladys Marshall and Linda Cousin of Houston, Sally Wofford of Woodland, Era McDonald of Jackson, Mammie Grice of Woodland and Annie Hollings of Memphis; six brothers, Charles White of St. Louis, Rev. Herbert Ivy of Woodland, Leon Ivy of Pheba, William Ivy of Houston, Jery Ivy of Mathiston and Prince Cousin of West Point; five grandchildren.
There will be no visitation.
Bryson Dill
IUKA – Bryson Dill, 18, died Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka is in charge of the arrangements.

Vera Mae Martin
TISHOMINGO – Vera Mae Martin, 77, died Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Carter’s Branch M.B. Church. Burial will be in Carter’s Branch Cemetery. Grayson Funeral Services of Corinth is in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be from noon to service time today at the church.
Lucille Culver
PLANTERSVILLE – Lucille Young Culver, 84, died Monday, Jan. 30, 2012, at The North Mississippi Medical Center after a long illness. A Nettleton native, she was born March 18, 1927, to William Pruitt and Lilly Pearl Berryhill Young. She was a lifelong resident of the Lee County area. At the age of 67 she retired from Lane Furniture in Verona after 20 years of service. She was a member of the Baptist church. An avid animal enthusiast, she loved taking care of her pet dogs. She was affectionately known as “Mama” by her children and “Nanny” by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with the Rev. John (Ben) Raper officiating. Burial will be in Palestine Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Peggy Shaver of Plantersville and Nancy Lyle (Dennis) of Olive Branch; one son, Timothy Culver of Plantersville; one sister, Polly Fowler of Nettleton; two brothers, Jimmy Young (Sandra) of Nettleton and Billy Young (Joan) of the Skyline community; four grandchildren, Shilo Carr of Booneville, Randi Carter of Olive Branch, Lori Holliday and Chris Culver of Alabama; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Robert amp”Buckamp” Young; and one son, Gerald Culver.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today.

Linda Wright
ABERDEEN – Linda Kaye Duke Wright, 63, died Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012, at the Care Center of Aberdeen. She was born Aug. 26, 1948, in Aberdeen to Carlos Rufus Duke and Lilla Pauline Bagwell Duke. She lived in Aberdeen since 1977. She was a graduate of Aberdeen High School. She was the retired manager of Family Dollar Store and a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Tisdale-Lann Memorial Chapel in Aberdeen with Bro. R.D. Cline and Bro. David Foreman officiating. Burial will be in Oddfellows Rest Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, William Harold Wright of Aberdeen; one daughter, Samantha Williams (Tommy) of Aberdeen; one son, Tony Wright (Sandy) of Amory; one granddaughter, Ashton Blair Wright, and three grandsons, Tyler Eugene Williams, Taylor Duke Williams and Camron Gabe Wright; one sister, Carlene Chism (Jim) of Amarillo, Texas; two brothers, Robert Duke (Cindy), and Phillip Duke (Nancy), all of Aberdeen; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Pallbearers will be Phil Duke, Wayne Duke, Dustin Duke, Donnie Easter, Adrian Wright and Mike Mitchell.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. today at the Tisdale-Lann Memorial Chapel in Aberdeen.

James Hussey
ABERDEEN – James Leonard Hussey, 82, died Monday, Jan. 30, 2012, at his residence in Aberdeen. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced at a later time by Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen.
Durward Morris
ETTA – Durward Malcolm “Dude” Morris, 91, died Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County in New Albany. He was born in Union County on Jan. 17, 1921, to Johnny Glover and Myrtle Tidwell Morris. He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church and a retired cattleman and farmer. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during World War II. He was a member of the Cattlemans Association and the American Legion.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Glenfield Funeral Home in New Albany with the Rev. Kyle Ivy officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery. Glenfield Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his son, Danny Morris (Debbie) of Etta; his daughter, Susan Rakestraw (Tim) of Fulton; two sisters, Faye Raines of Batesville, and Sue Long of Memphis; six grandchildren, Amy Willard (Mike), Richard Morris, Abby Bright (C.J.), Starla Ruth (Jason), Skyla Rakestraw and Sunni Rakestraw; and 10 great-grandchildren, Zoee Rakestraw, Reese Ruth, Kylee Hutchens, Ryder Willard, Luke Willard, Cole Morris Willard, Joe Quay Willard, Richard Malley Morris, Trace Chism and Annie Bine Bright.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Obine Long Morris; and two sisters, Doris Churchill and Lurleen Sullivan.
Pallbearers will be Malcolm Sullivan, James Sullivan, Randy Churchill, Tony Cain, Donnie Long and Richard Morris.
Visitation will be from 6 yo 8 p.m. today.
