William Huffman II
WEST POINT – William C. “Buddy” Huffman II, 38, passed away on Friday, July 12, 2013, at his home in West Point. He was born June 4, 1975, in Hayti, Mo., to Janice Morris Henley and William Curtis Huffman I. He was a salesman at Mitchell Automotive. He was a member of West End Baptist Church and had attended Evangel Church in Columbus.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 14, at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel in West Point with the Rev. Ron Delgado officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in West Point. Calvert Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Paige Magers Huffman, and two sons, Curt Huffman and Manning Huffman, all of West Point; his mother Jan Henley (Sammy) of West Point; his father, William C. “Buddy” Huffman (Rena) of Greenville, S.C.; grandmother, Mae Morris of West Point; three sisters, Brandy Roberts (James) of Maben, Wendy Dengler (Jamie) of Selmer, Tenn., and Faith Henley of St. Louis, Mo.; one brother, Jody Henley of Dallas, Texas; nieces and nephews, Jon Austin, Ethan, Jessie, Samatha, Jacob, Jourdan-Haley, Russ and Dalton; father-in-law, Charles Magers (Hilda); brother-in-law, Bobby Magers (Bridget).
He was preceded in death by his brother, Zack Henley; his grandmother, Dorothy Huffman Walker; his mother-in-law, Donna Jordan Magers; and his grandfather-in-law, Billy Jordan.
Pallbearers will be Bubba Pee, Robin Morris, Rowland Morris, Joseph Pollard, Shasta Plunkett, Jody Guest, Scott Trull and Jacob Dengler. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike McGill and employees of Mitchell Automotive and Employees of Jordan Transfer.

Annie Louise Millard
LAGUNA NIGUEL, Calif. – Annie Louise Ford Millard died Saturday, July 6, 2013, in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. She was born in Okolona on April 19, 1925, to Henry Ford and Mary Wheeler. She was a well respected teacher in early childhood education in New Jersey for over 30 years. She will be remembered as a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many who knew her. She loved her children and grandchildren and was especially proud of them. She enjoyed traveling and traveled throughout the world, visiting many places abroad, such as China, Russia, London, Paris, Rome, Amsterdam, Caribbean and Mexican Riviera cruises and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
She is survived by her children, Renee Millard Marshall (Lee), Michael Millard, Gary Millard, David Millard and Keith Millard; brothers and sisters, Leondus Ford, Wardell Ford (Aglean), Margaret Jordan (George), Willie Bell Reddick, Arthur Ford, Melvin Ford (Carolyn) and Henry Ford (Renita); grandchildren, Linda Yates, Damian McKinnon, Shanna McKinnon, Shaakira Gold, Mikial Millard, Ibraahiym Millard, Robert Millard III and Cathy Millard; great-grandchildren, Andris, John, Mikial, Trinity, Garrison, Michael III, Robert IV, Sarina, Macala and Sarah; and great-great-grandchildren, Mariah, Jayvein and Jayvon.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband; a sister, Lois Ann Johnson; a brother, Harold Ford, two children, Marian Yates and Robert Millard; and one grandchild, Sherry Yates.
Sevices will be at noon today, July 13, at Snowtown United Methodist Church with the Rev. Lavert Fitzpatrick officiating. Burial will be in the Oddfellows Cemetery in Okolona. Williams Memorial of Okolona is in charge of the arrangements.

Iris Gattis
RIPLEY – Iris Crestman Gattis, 83, died Thursday, July 11, 2013, at Rest Haven Nursing Home in Ripley. She was born March 17, 1930, to Sidney and Rena Crestman. She was a member of Turners Chapel Baptist Church. She worked at The Peoples Bank for 17 years as a clerical worker. She enjoyed doing crafts and handwork.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today, July 13, at Ripley Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Howard Goolsby and Bro. Bill Baker officiating. Burial will be in Tippah Memorial Garden.
She is survived by her husband, R.C. Gattis of Ripley; one sister, Embry Kindy of Bryant, Ark.; special niece, Brenda Butler of Conway, Ark.; special friends, Beverly and Jason Grisham, Bobbie and Barrett Chapman, and Blair Chapman, all of Ripley; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Annie Butler and Ora Lynch; and two brothers, Charles Crestman and Leo Crestman.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Newby, Nicky Newby, Terry Bridges, Richard Bridges, Doug Simms and James King.

Charley J. McAnally Sr.
BECKER – Charley James McAnally Sr. died Thursday, July 11, 2013, at his residence. Born March 30, 1940, in Amory, he was a son of the late Charley B. and Zelda English McAnally. He married Dianne Faulkner on June 20, 1965. A graduate of Amory High School, he earned his master’s degree in agriculture from Mississippi State University. Putting a great emphasis on education, he and his wife would eventually carry their love for teaching all across the U.S., to Alaska, Arkansas and Mississippi, lastly teaching at the Mennonite School in Aberdeen.
He attended River Bend Baptist Church and was a member of the Mississippi Cattleman’s Association, Mississippi Forestry Association and American Legion. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy, Alaska National Guard, Alabama National Guard, Mississippi National Guard and the Mississippi State Guard. He was a law enforcement officer in Alaska and Mississippi. Having an outstanding work ethic, he operated several farms and always stayed busy working everywhere he went. He and his wife enjoyed extensive traveling, eventually making it to all 50 U.S. states and all seven continents. A man of service, he gave willingly of himself to his family, teaching his children and grandchildren the values and morals that he stood for, and was extremely proud of his family.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Dianne Faulkner McAnally; daughter, Brenda Hathcock (Andy) of Kodiak, Alaska; sons, Charley James McAnally Jr. (Angie) of Willow, Alaska, and Michael McAnally of Springhill, Fla.; sisters, Hazel Thompson of Houston, Texas, Katie Nordstrom of Tampa, Fla., and Bonnie Hume, Daisy Jones and Shirley Morgan (Jimmy), all of Amory; brother, Don McAnally (Ruth) of Nauvoo, Ala.; grandchildren, Nick Hathcock (Tiffany), Drew Hathcock, Dominique Hathcock, Bryan Pierce ( Brooke), Belle Pierce and Charley James McAnally III; great-grandson, Elijah Underwood; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Dolly Vail and Georgia Kovarcik, and a brother, Stanley McAnally.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. today, July 13, at River Bend Baptist Church with Dr. Roy McHenry officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be Nick and Drew Hathcock, John Michael Cole, Gregory Taylor, James Moffett, Eddie Knight and Bob Sackerson.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service hour today at the church.

Rebecca Hill
BIRMINGHAM RIDGE – Rebecca Hill, 92, died Thursday, July 11, 2013, at The Greenhouses at Traceway. A native and lifelong resident of the Birmingham Ridge community, she was born Feb. 24, 1921, to O.C. and Alliene Watson Coker. She retired from Joyner/Fields of Tupelo with 30 years of service. She loved gardening, fishing and watching her special soap operas. She was a member of the Birmingham Ridge Baptist Church.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 13, at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with the Rev. Sammy Lansdell officiating. Burial will be in McNeil Cemetery.
Survivors include one son, Norris Wayne Hill (Alene) of Saltillo; one daughter, Lynette Dobbs (Bill) of Belden; four brothers, Alvis Coker (Dorothy) of Saltillo, Melvin Coker of Shannon, Dean Coker (Mary) of Belden and Paul Coker of Tupelo; one sister, Mildred Pannell of Okolona; five grandchildren, Richard Hill, Steve and Brad Dobbs, Rhonda Hill (Keith), Cheryl Stein (Eric) and Sheri Kyle; 10 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of almost 60 years, Roscoe Hill; five brothers, Leon, Wilburn, Roy, Lamar and Homer Coker; one grandchild, Terry Dobbs; and one great-grandchild, Chris Edwards.
Pallbearers will be Richard and Keith Hill, Steve and Brad Dobbs, Corby Kyle and Eric Stein. Honorary pallbearers will be the great-grandchildren.

PONTOTOC – Addison Faith Foreman, infant, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County.

Survivors include her mother, Jessica Foreman, and her father, James Foreman; one sister, Kayla Foreman; four brothers, James Austin Foreman, Alexander Foreman, Joseph Foreman and Braxton Foreman; her great-grandmother, Barbara Clayton; her grandparents, Teresa Williams, Steve Williams and Janie Turnage.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandfathers, Marlyn Clayton and L.D. Ford.
Pallbearers will be Case Mooneyham, Steve Williams and Frank Mooneyham.

IUKA – Bobby Benjamin “Bob” Russell, 79, died Thursday, July 11, 2013, at his home.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 14, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Belmont. Burial will be in Belmont City Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Myrl Barfield
BRUCE – Myrl Poynor Barfield, 87, died Friday, July 12, 2013, at North Sunflower Medical Center in Ruleville. She was born Sept. 17, 1925, in Banner. She was a homemaker, a factory worker and a restaurant owner. She was a member of Lantrip Baptist Church.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 14, at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Bruce. The Rev. Robert Earl Alexander will officiate, and the Rev. Rex Wilburn will assist. Burial will be in Bruce Cemetery.
She is survived by four children, Tommy Barfield (Olga) of LaGrange, Ga., Wayne Barfield (Dianne) of Gainesville, Fla., Danny Barfield (Deborah) of Cleveland and Carolyn Nettles (Bill) of Dry Prong, La.; two brothers, Bedford “Pete” Poynor and Charles Poynor, both of Bruce; 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Knox Barfield; her parents, Nathaniel Davis Poynor and Lila Pearl Harrison Poynor; three sisters, Lois Crutchfield, Shirley Stone and Reba Barefield; and three brothers, Ula Poynor, Laburn Poynor and Carl Poynor.
Pallbearers will be Dennis Barfield, Kyle Barfield, Dobbie Poynor, Bill Wilburn, Bradley Wilburn and Kent Wilburn. Honorary pallbearers will be Pete Johnson and Johnny Weeks.
