After the death of her husband in 1969, she moved to St. Paul, Minn., to begin a new life. There she made many friends and found acceptance. While in St. Paul she worked for Radisson Hotels for 38 years. She received many accolades for her work in turning the Communications Department into a successful revenue operation. During her tenure at Radisson, she never missed a day of work.

After her retirement, her final years were spent in Dallas, Texas, where her daughter, Jill, and her husband, Denny, and her daughter, Janet, provided her with love and support.
