OXFORD – Charlie E. Roberts, 79, died Sunday, July 19, 2009, at Hermitage Gardens in Oxford.
A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Friday at St. Andrews United Methodist Church. Waller Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

AMORY – Ovie Lee Nabors Wells, 90, died Friday, July 24, 2009, at the Community Hospice at Darlington Oaks in Verona. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by E.E. Pickle Funeral Home of Amory.

Mae Evelyn Dodd
EUPORA – Mae Evelyn Dodd, 82, died Thursday, July 23, 2009, at the Golden Living Center in Eupora.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Eupora. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Webster County.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Daniel Clardy
GUNTOWN – Daniel Clardy, 50, died Saturday, July 25, 2009, at his home in Guntown. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors in Saltillo.

Irene Tate
AMORY – Irene Tate, 66, died Saturday, July 25, 2009 at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by E.E. Pickle Funeral Home of Amory.
Ima Joe Crabb
RIENZI – Ima Joe Crabb, 85, died Friday, July 24, 2009, at Community Hospice in Verona after an extended illness. She was a member of Thrasher Baptist Church and loved her church family. She owned and operated the Oasis Restaurant, Service Station and Motel from 1955 until 2005. She enjoyed gardening, working in her flowers, cooking, fishing and spending quality time with her family.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Thrasher Baptist Church with Bro. Dewitt Bain and Charles Crabb officiating. Burial will be in Little Brown Cemetery. McMillan Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
She is survived by three daughters, Wanda Alford (Burnie) of Rienzi, Gloria Berry (Carlisle) of Tupelo, and Judy Eaton (Sammy) of Rienzi; one son, Jack Crabb (Ellen) of Texas; one brother, Bill Berry (Annette) of Alabama; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and six great-greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Pervy Morgan and Acelda Mae Hall Berry; her husband, R.L Crabb; an infant son; one brother, Hollis Berry; and one grandson, Robby Storey.
Grandsons and great-grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. to service time Monday at the church.
Irene Ryan
MARIETTA – Irene Russell Ryan, 87, of the Ozark community died Friday, July 24, 2009, at the Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo after a long illness. She was a member of Palestine United Methodist Church.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Waters Funeral Home in Baldwyn with Bro. Lynn Fair, Bro. Joe Coggins and Bro. Roy H. Ryan officiating. Burial will be in Kirkville Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband of 69 years, James Ruble Ryan of Ozark; one daughter, Kitty Franks (Buddy) of Mantachie; one sister, Mona Rea Houston of Baldwyn; her in-laws, Allen Young of Saltillo, Mary Helen Ryan of Zion, Ill., and Roy H. Ryan (Doris) of Tupelo; a special niece, Martha Lollar; a special friend, Kathleen Nabors; grandchildren, Jeff Franks (Judy) and Tim Franks (Melanie); great-grandchildren, Suzanne Riley (Kevin), Ryan Franks and Claire Franks; great-great-granddaughter, Sydney Riley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Veto and Nannie Lou Russell; six brothers, Herman, Chalmus, Dick, Rawden, Ruble and Kenneth Russell; and two sisters, Sybil Lytal and Grace Gist.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Franks, Tim Franks, Ryan Franks, Kevin Riley, Lanny Russell and Jim Witt.

W.C. Hill
OXFORD – William C. “W.C.” Hill, 94, died Saturday, July 25, 2009, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. He was born in Houston in 1914. He served as a Seaman 1st Class in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member and Deacon Emeritus at First Baptist Church. He was a 32nd segree Mason and member of O.D. Smith Masonic Lodge. He was a retired manager of the Student Union Grill and the Alumni House Hotel at the University of Mississippi.
Service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church with Dr. Robert Allen, Dr. Eric Hankins and the Rev. David Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Yellow Leaf Cemetery.
Survivors include his daughters, Sandra Hill Fitts and husband, Eugene, of Corinth and Deidra Hill Davis and husband, Malcolm, of Jackson; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George Robert and Sallie Ragland Hill; his wife, Sybil Metts Hill; six brothers; and one sister.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 1 p.m. to service time Monday at the church.

E.J. Dodson
RANDOLPH – E.J. Dodson, 67, died Friday, July 24, 2009, at his home. He was born March 25, 1942, to Earl D. and Louella Dodson. He grew up in the Buckhorn community. He was a member of Buckhorn Church of Christ. He was employed at Brookwood Furniture for 37 years. He loved his familyu and home. He spent much of his time fishing and riding four-wheelers. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc with Bro. Tommy Thornhill officiating. Burial will be in Buckhorn Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Katie Dodson; two children, Sylvia Massey and husband, Billy Joe, and Joe Dodson and wife, Shelly; five grandchildren, B.J. Massey, Dusty Massey, Jodi Heatherly and husband, Wesley, Daniel Dodson and Dalton Dodson; four great-grandchildren, Brailon Massey, Brianna Massey, Salah Heatherly and Kye Massey; and a sister, Charlene Black and husband, Terry.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Marvin and Marice.
Pallbearers will be Dennis Cox, Ronnie Brown, Rickey Miller, Bobby Walker, Davin Young and Matt Waldrop. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Austin and Carlton Moore.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. today.
