BURNSVILLE – Wayne Lambert, 72, died Sunday, July 1, 2012, at his home.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Glen. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery.

BYHALIA – Ralph Delane Broyles, 77, died Sunday, July 1, 2012, at the V.A. Hospital in Memphis. He was born Nov. 21, 1934, in Butler, Tenn., the son of Victor Broyles and Maude Pierce Broyles. He worked in publishing for McCall. He was a member of Meadow Brook Baptist Church and a U.S. Army veteran.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Meadow Brook Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Byhalia Cemetery. Holly Springs Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma Thompson Broyles of Byhalia; two sons, Randal Thomas Broyles of Rockwood, Tenn., and Wade Northcutt of Lakeland, Tenn.; one daughter, Susan Northcutt of Mt. Home, Idaho; three sisters, Ethel Garland of Butler, Tenn., and Sue Arnold, both of Butler, Tenn., and Corrine Arnold of Elkhart, Ind.
Visitation will be from noon to service time Thursday at the church.
PONTOTOC – Maria D. Solis, 83, died Friday, June 29, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born April 18, 1929, to Jose L. Solis and Maria A. Tovar Solis. In 1994, she moved to Los Angeles, Calif., and in 2009, she moved to Blue Springs.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc with Bro. Rocky Tzib officiating.
Internment is at West Heights Cemetery.
She is survived by seven daughters, Carmen Morphis of Blue Springs, Anna Guevara, Antonia Marquez, Marta Dimas and Delmy Solis, all of Los Angeles, Calif., Dora Cardona of Charlotte, N.C., and Jaimy Solis of El Salvador; three sons, Freddy Solis and Victor Solis, both of Pontotoc, and David Solis of El Salvador; three brothers, Antonio Solis, Francisco Solis and Chima Solis, all of El Salvador; sister, Eva Solis of El Salvador; 39 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Juan A. Solis and Jose A. Solis.
Visitation is from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday.
ATHENS – Robert E. Head, 24, died Monday, July 2, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by E.E. Pickle Funeral Home in Amory.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday evening at the funeral home.

THAXTON – Danny James Wigginton III, infant son of Danny James Wigginton Jr. and Amanda Susan Chapin Wigginton of Thaxton, died Monday, July 2, 2012, at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, Tenn.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Dorsey Cemetery in Itawamba County with Bro. Bill Thompson officiating. Holland Funeral Directors, Tupelo Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his parents, Danny and Amanda Wigginton; two brothers, Marcus Litton and Logan Litton of Thaxton; grandparents, Linda Atkinson of Thaxton, Barry and Brenda Young of Nettleton, and Danny James Wigginton Sr. of Nettleton; great-grandparents, Jettie Pate of Fulton, Marg and Dave Chapin of Yucaipa, Calif., and Nan and Richard Murray of Nettleton; aunts, Melanie Taylor of Sherman, Jade Hester and Jessica Patterson, both of Nettleton; uncle, Wesley Atkinson of Thaxton; and a host of cousins.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Jerry Pate of Fulton, Leo Sullivan of Louisiana, and Loraine Sullivan of Tupelo.

BOONEVILLE – Jimmy L. Wood, 81, died Sunday, July 1, 2012, at the V.A. Medical Center in Murfreesboro, Tenn.

HOULKA – Maxine Marie Daniel, 89, died Monday, July 2, 2012, at Graceland Nursing Home in Pontotoc. She was born Oct. 22, 1922, in Houlka. She was a homemaker and a member of Robbs United Methodist Church.
Services will be at 4 p.m. today at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Bruce with the Rev. Pete Gregory officiating and the Rev. Erin Grant assisting. Burial will be in Robbs Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Frances D. Benson of Pope and Dorothy D. Busby of Oxford; one son, Carl B. Daniel of Houlka; one sister, Polly Liles of Houlka; one brother, Edd Brown of Pontotoc; five grandchildren, John Benson of Raleigh, N.C., Margie McLeod of Oxford, Carl Hinton Daniel of Houlka, David Busby of Cordova, Tenn., and Amanda B. Morris of Brentwood, Tenn.; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Daniel; her parents, John Edward Brown and Claudia Dorothy Ferguson Brown; two brothers, James Herbert and Ronald Eugene Brown; and two sisters, Celestine Brown and Jewell Dean Barnett.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Brown, David Busby, Carl Hinton Daniel, Will Daniel, Jimmy Morris and Kevin McLeod.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to service time today at the funeral home.
