Joyce Louise Bell
MAITLAND, Fla. – Joyce Louise Bell, 58, died Friday, June 29, 2012. She was born in Trenton, N.J., on May 26, 1954, and moved from Levittown, Pa., to Maitland, Fla., in 1962. In 1986, she received a master of education degree and retired from Seminole County Schools after 32 years of service. She became saved at an early age and was a devout Christian the remainder of her life.
Services were Monday, July 2, at Baldwin-Fairchild Funeral Home in Altamonte Springs, Fla. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 6, at Old Union Cemetery in Wren.
She is survived by her father, Claude V. Bell, Sr. and wife, Hilli, of Home, Pa.; sister, Eleanor Fay Mills and husband, Kenneth Mills, and nephew, Terry Long Jr., of Ocala, Fla.; one brother, Claude Vernon Bell Jr. and wife, Colette, a niece, Catherine, and a nephew, Clark Vincent, of Hohenwald, Tenn.; an aunt and uncle, Mary Baker Cunningham and Ferrell Cunningham of Wren.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ann Baker Bell; her grandparents, K. V. Bell, and Sam and Louise Baker.
Pallbearers were Herbert Word Jr., Sam Crawford Jr., Archie Baker Jr., Eden Martin II, Terry Long Jr. and Vincent Bell.

RIPLEY – J.L. Huddleston, 70, died Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.

TUPELO – Diane Tannehill, 80, died Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at her home after a brief illness. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors.
Bennie Word Jr.
AMORY – Bennie Frank Word Jr., 59, died on Thursday, June 28, 2012, at the Golden Living Center of Amory. He was born Jan. 24, 1953, to Annie D. Bailey and Bennie Frank Word Sr. He was a graduate of Amory High School Class of 1971. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and watching his favorite TV shows. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he was a former employee of the city of Amory and Turner Lusby Used Cars, and later worked for Haney’s Auto Sales until his health failed.
A celebration of life service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Susie L. Darden Memorial Chapel with Elder Duane Gilleylen officiating. Burial will follow in the Masonic Cemetery. Darden and Sons Funeral Home of Amory in charge of the arrangements.
He is survived by his brother, Willie Gene Bailey of Cincinnati, Ohio; an aunt, Jeanette Bailey of Amory; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grand parents, Frank and Daisy Bailey; uncle, Ira “Pope” Bailey; aunt, Lorraine Bailey; and cousin, Dorothy “Lee-Lee” Bailey.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. today with family hour from 6 to 7 p.m. The body will lie in repose one hour prior to service time on Friday.

Inez Flowers
AMORY – Inez Dixon Flowers, 91, died Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by E.E. Pickle Funeral Home.

RUSSELLVILLE, Ala. – Rhonda Thomas, 62, died Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at her home.

Clemmie Isbell
PONTOTOC – Clemmie Mae Isbell, 80, died Saturday, June 30, 2012, at the Pontotoc Nursing Home.
A native of Chickasaw County, she was the daughter of Jake and Willie Mae Fiddler. She was a lifelong member of Thompson Chapel CME Church in Houlka. She was a caregiver who gave care to the Kimmel and Hood families in raising their children as her own. She love to cook and bake and was known for her famous “Clemmie’s Cakes” and her beautiful crocheting. She was the widow of Sammie Otis Isbell.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Thompson Chapel CME Church. The Rev. Jeffrey Freeman will officiate. Burial will be in the East County Line Cemetery. Kenneth I. Roberson Funeral Home of Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.
She is survived by three brothers, Jake Fiddler Jr. and Lloyd Fiddler, both of Seattle, Wash., and Milton (Roxanne) Fiddler of Grand Rapids, Mich.; a niece who provided her care, LeTosha Naugle of Pontotoc; two godchildren, Jacobe Johnson and Brenton Vaughn; and the Kimmel and Hood families.
Visitation is from 1 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mary Agnes Neeley
VICKSBURG – Mary Agnes Neeley, 86, died Monday, July 2, 2012, at Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson. She was born in Mantachie to the late Odie R’Dell and Hassie Bea Sheffield Bates. She was a former resident of the Ozark community in Itawamba County. She had lived in Vicksburg since 1998. She was a member of the Vicksburg Church of Christ.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Ozark Cemetery with Bro. Carl Dunlap officiating. A memorial service will be at 6 p.m. Friday at the Ozark Church of Christ. Waters Funeral Home of Baldwyn in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her son, Billy Dale Neeley of Vicksburg; one granddaughter and two great-grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Billy Junior Neeley; and 10 siblings.

Pops Freeman
BOONEVILLE – Herman Woodrow “Pops” Freeman, 80, died Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville. He was born June 24, 1932, in Tellico Plains, Tenn. He was a Christian. He worked as a concrete construction laborer. He enjoyed woodworking, yard sales and flea markets.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at the Booneville Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. David Krech and Bro. Shane Hoard officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.
He is survived by five sons, David Freeman of Aurora, Colo., Jimmy Freeman (Evelyn) of Booneville, Timmy Freeman of New Site, Doyle Freeman (Carla) of Herring, Ill., and Don Freeman (Tammy) of Marietta; two daughters, Patricia Porter (Noel) of Lawrenceburg, Tenn., and Mary Hoard of Booneville; 18 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Hester Freeman, on Dec. 15, 2006; his parents, Arthur and Rachel Brady Freeman; two grandsons, Corey Hurley and Jonathan Freeman; and a daughter-in-law, Bertha Freeman.
Pallbearers are Doug Cromains, Mike Baggett Jr., Donnie Freeman Jr., Shawn Hoard, Dustin Hoard, Kyle Wigginton and Nathan Wigginton.

Ronald Reeves
OAKLAND, Tenn. – Ronald Lynn Reeves, 60, died Monday, July 2, 2012. He was a former resident of Union County.

NEW ALBANY – Dorothy Butvidas, 83, died Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at Graceland Care Center in New Albany. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by United Funeral Service of New Albany.
Vance Wildman
GUNTOWN – Vance Epting Wildman, 98, died Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at her residence at the Greenhouses in Tupelo. She was a former resident of the Camp Creek community. She was a retired seamstress. After working at several plants she retired from Blue Bell in Guntown. She was a lifelong member of the Camp Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and sewing.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Waters Funeral Home with Bro. Martin Jacks and Bro. Felix Hutcheson Jr. officiating. Burial in the Camp Creek Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Frances Hendrix (Stanley) of Tupelo and Janice White (Gerald) of Jericho; grandchildren, Jeff White (Tammy), Richard White, Kevin White (Cathy), Amy Wigginton (Marty), Brad Hendrix and Carol Ann Smith; 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; S.L. and Sally Gibson Epting; sisters, Ruth Epting, Mildred Kyle, Dale Waters and Katherine Eping; and four brothers, Jack Epting, Fleet Epting, Brooks Epting and Bub Epting.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Waters Funeral Home.
