Daniel Jeter II
FALKNER – Daniel Lee Jeter II, 27, died Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born Nov. 9, 1985, to Daniel and Bennie Jeter. He was a Baptist and he was disabled.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 13, at Ripley Funeral Home with Bro. Trent Spencer officiating. Burial will be in Falkner Cemetery.
He is survived by his parents, Daniel Jeter and Bennie Jones Jeter of Falkner; two sisters, Megan Jeter of Hampton, Ark., and Dana Winters (Billy) of Horn Lake.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Phyllis Dreher
WEST POINT – Phyllis Jean Parks Dreher, 83, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2013, at Aurora Health and Rehabilitation, in Columbus. She was born July 19, 1929, in El Dorado, Ark., to Lena Jane Haynie and Walter Samuel Parks Sr. She had worked as a teacher’s assistant in West Point Public School System. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church of Columbus. She married Frederic Nicholas Dreher on May 31, 1947, in El Dorado, Ark.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 15, at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Benjamin Kratz officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Garden Cemetery in West Point. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her husband, Fred N. Dreher; four daughters, Debra Leigh Lancaster (Gary) and Jennifer Leigh Gray, all of West Point, Jean Dreher King (Richard) of Oxford and Paula Sue Dreher Oakes (John Earl) of Vicksburg; one son, John David Dreher (Teresa Ann) of West Point; nine grandchildren, Tammala Lancaster Atkins, Olivia Lancaster Laine, Amanda Lee Dreher, Elizabeth King Gong, Martha King, David Nicholas Dreher, Kimberly Oakes, Holly Oakes and Wendy Oakes; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jim Ed Parks of Forney, Texas, Joe Allen Parks (Linda) of Greenbrier, Ark.
She was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Ray Dreher; great-grandson, Zayne Atkins; three brothers, Walker Parks Jr., Ray Parks Sr. and George Parks; two sisters, Marilyn Parks Edmonds and Billie Grace Parks Hammons; and her parents.
Pallbearers will be Earl Foreman, Gary Lancaster, Gene Boggess, Bryan Smith, Jonathan Smith, Jeremy Roberts, Chuck Jones and Neil Gong. Honorary pallbearers will be David Dreher, John Dreher, Craig Laine, Robert Atkins, John Earl Oakes and Richard King.

Larry Mitchell
AMORY – Larry Ray Mitchell, 60, died Monday, June 10, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center. Born July 30, 1952, he was a son of Faye Pounders Mixon and the late Joice Mitchell. A lifelong resident of Monroe County, he attended Becker School and was a graduate of Amory High School. He was of the Baptist faith. He worked for C&F Construction, later retiring from Monroe County Road Maintenance. Although strong willed at times, he had a big heart and would help anyone in need. He enjoyed NASCAR, being outdoors riding four-wheelers, hunting and gardening.
He is survived by his wife, Cathy Mitchell; mother and stepfather, Faye and James Mixon of Nettleton; daughters, Christi Andres (Darion) of Vancouver, Wash., Hollie Mitchell of Atlanta, Ga.; stepdaughters, Kimberly Fields (Jerry) of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Dana Ryan of Tupelo; stepsister, Jackie Gail Brown (Walter) of San Antonio, Texas; stepbrothers, Col. James Howard Mixon (Sue) of Fort Bragg, N.C., Henry Mixon (Doris) of Columbus, Jeff Mixon (Sonya) of Austin, Texas; grandchildren, Chris, Noah, Shelbi and Trevor Andres, Weston and Landon Fields, Connor, Drew and Trey Holiman, and Ainsley Ryan; and special friend, L.B. Wright.
In addition to his father, Joice Mitchell, he was preceded in death by his son, Brad Mitchell, and stepson, Barry Deaton.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 13, at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Burks and Bro. Shane Crawford officiating. Burial will follow in Northington Heard Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Gary McAfee, Jabbo Holloway, David Randolph, Billy Parker, Rico Parker and Rick Moreland. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of Standifer Creek Hunting Club and the Hospice Unit of NMMC.

TREMONT – Joyce Lavelle Crouch Hale, 75, passed away Monday, June 10, 2013. She was born Feb. 18, 1938, to Wilbur Crouch and Ozell Pierce Crouch Silas. She was a member of Asbury Methodist Church. She enjoyed her flowers and children and grandchildren, and shopping at yard sales.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today, June 12, at Senter Funeral Home in Fulton. Bro. Eugene Stockstill will officiate. Burial will be in Asbury Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, W.C. Hale of Tremont; sons, Terry (Jaunita) Hale of Tremont and Kenny (Teri) Hale of Marietta, Ohio; brother, Jerry (Brenda) Carville of Tremont; three granddaughters, Holli (Matt) Stanford of Tremont, Brooke (Matt) Ewing of Fulton and Karen Hale of Tremont; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Carylon Crouch of Tremont.
She was preceded in death by her father, Wilbur Crouch; her mother, Ozell Crouch Silas; a brother, Billy Wayne Crouch; and her stepfather, James Carville Silas.

Hubert Morphis
HOULKA – Hubert Morphis, 87, died Monday, June 10, 2013, at Floy Dyer Nursing Home. He was born Sept. 18, 1925, to James Maron Morphis and Bessie Kirkpatrick Morphis in Chickasaw County. He was retired from the Mississippi State Highway Department. He was of the Baptist faith.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 13, 2013, at Southern Funeral Chapel with Bro. Steve Griffin officiating. Burial will be in Poplar Springs Cemetery.
He is survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorene Shurden Morphis, on April 13, 2009; his parents; and his siblings, Darrrell Morphis, Annie Morphis, Maynard Morphis, Mattie Luther, Thomas Morphis, Leo Morphis and Theo Morphis.

Dorothy Felder
WEST POINT – Dorothy Ray Reed Felder, 90, passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at the Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Mandeville, La. She was born Jan. 12, 1923, in Oktibbeha County to Georgia Lee Justice Reed and Raymond Bell Reed. She was a graduate of Mississippi State University where she received her master’s degree in education. She was a fifth grade schoolteacher for the West Point Public School System for 29 years. Early in her teaching career she taught at Pheba. While a military wife, she taught schools in the Boston area before returning to West Point. She married Kelly Reed Felder on Dec. 9, 1944, at the Pheba Baptist Parsonage in Pheba. He preceded her in death on March 9, 1966. She loved her family and friends and was a wonderful friend and neighbor. She was an active member at First Baptist Church in West Point. An avid sports fan, she enjoyed West Point High School Green Wave baseball and basketball; was awarded the WPHS Booster Club Best Fan award; and spent many hours enjoying MSU sports with friends. She was an member of Martha Chapter 53, Order of the Eastern Star, and the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion. She was a charter member of the Alpha Iota Chapter that was chartered May 8, 1976, of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, a professional honorary society of women educators. After retirement she worked as a Pink Lady at North Mississippi Medical Center and gave freely of her time volunteering at the Food Pantry.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, June 14, at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dale Funderburg officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery at West Point. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her daughter, Nancy Felder Jones (Bill) of Mandeville, La.; three grandchildren, William A. Jones II, Kelly Jones Montgomery (Randall) and Brittany Jones Bruner (Michael); three great-grandchildren, Reed Anderson Montgomery, Molly Evelyn Montgomery and Arden Kelly Montgomery; her brother-in-law, William Eickel of Metairie, La.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her son, Lewis Reed Felder, on Oct. 16, 1965; her brother and sisters, Byron, Lucille Reed Love, Lois Reed Clark, and Virginia Reed Eickel; and her parents.
Pallbearers will be William A. Jones II, Randall E. Montgomery, Michael Bruner, Dr. John Cantrell, Bill Love and Laymon Watson.

Leonard Ingellis
PORT EWEN, N.Y. – Leonard P. Ingellis, 91, of The Hills in Port Ewen, N.Y., passed away Saturday, June 8, 2013, at Ten Broeck Commons in Lake Katrine, N.Y. He was born April 11, 1922, in Lyndhurst, N.J., to August and Mary Lipoma Ingellis. He married Johanna Ehmann Ingellis on July 20, 1953, in Germany. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Pacific Theater, where he saw action during the Battle of Leyte Island in the Philippines. He was a recipient of the Asiatic Pacific Service Medal with three Bronze Stars, Philippine Liberation Medal with Bronze Star, Army of Occupation Medal Europe, WWII Victory Medal, American Defense Service medal with Bronze Star and the National Defense Service Medal. He later worked as a supervisor for Pan American Airlines as a port steward before retiring in 1974. He was a life member of the American Legion Post 49 in Tupelo and a member of, Disabled American Veterans, Queen Memorial 92, N.Y., VFW Post 7172 North Shore, N.Y., and Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 421, Staten Island, N.Y.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his son, Joachim “Joe” Ingellis (Lois) of Port Ewen; his brothers, Fred Ingellis of Tupelo and Joseph Ingellis of Connecticut; his grandchildren, Peter Ingellis and Caryl Mahar; and his great-grandchildren, Alexander Ingellis, Elizabeth Ingellis, Charlotte Mahar, Emmeline Mahar and Karl Piperato.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Daniel and Vincent Ingellis, and Theresa Quintiliani.
Services will be held privately at the discretion of the family. Burial will be in Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery of Poughkeepsie, N.Y. Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service of Port Ewen, N.Y., is in charge of the arrangements.

Roy Prestage
HERNANDO – Roy Malone Prestage, 88, formerly of Fulton, passed away Monday, June 10, 2013. Born Oct. 3, 1924, he lived most of his life in Itawamba County. He was a member of East Fulton Baptist Church. After serving in the U.S. Navy, he graduated from the University of Mississippi. He was retired from the AFLAC insurance company.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Annie Prestage of Hernando; one son, Tony Prestage of Hernando; one daughter, Debbie Hodges of Olive Branch; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Barry Prestage; his parents; and seven brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be from noon to 1:45 p.m. Thursday, June 13, at the Hernando Funeral Home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Hernando Memorial Park. Hernando Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Daveta Gann
BOONEVILLE – Daveta Renee Gann, 45, died Saturday, June 8, 2013, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville. She was born Nov. 14, 1967, in Dixon, Mo., to David Nelson Duncan and Barbara Jean Jones Duncan. She was a member of Booneville Church of Christ. She was a C.N.A., C.M.A., and teacher. She enjoyed reading, babysitting, cooking, and spending time with her daughters, their activities and her “grand-dogs,” Keela, Titus and Zeena.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today, June 12, at Booneville Church of Christ, with Ministers Ben McAnally and Tony Brown officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Memorial Garden. Booneville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by two daughters, Kenita Kearns and Brandi Gann, both of Booneville; two brothers, Andy Duncan (Angela) and Richard Duncan (Georgia), all of Booneville; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; and two godgrandchildren, Maecee and Finlee Miller of Mantachie.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a nephew, Nelson W. Duncan; her grandparents, Howard and Lucille Jones, and Andrew and Iona Duncan; and a grandchild, Addy Buchanan.

Faye Binet
MYRTLE – Faye Louise Binet, 64, died May 30, 2013, at her home. She was born Aug. 27, 1948, in Arkansas to James Robertson and Rosa Faye Bullock Robertson.
A memorial service was held Wednesday, June 5. Serenity Funeral Home of New Albany was in charge of the arrangements.
She is survived by her children, Anita Faye Brixie, James, Jerry and Rickey Binet, all of Myrtle; her siblings, James Robertson, Elmer Roberson, Lavada Joyce Jackson and Hazel Mae Roach, all of Arkansas; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.

James Easterling
BLUE SPRINGS – James Easterling, 78, died Monday, June 10, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center after a brief illness. A Mississippi native, he was born June 25, 1934, to Herman Otis and Charlie Faye Wood Easterling. He independently owned and operated a trucking business. He enjoyed yard work, reading and being outside, and he loved his horses. He was a member of Blue Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 15 years, Linda Kelly Easterling of Blue Springs; two daughters, Rhonda Carlock (Steve) of the Birmingham Ridge Community and Michelle Porch (Joe) of Blue Springs; four grandchildren, Jeremy Carlock (Shannah) of Downham Market, UK, Keegan Porch (Charlie) of Blue Springs, Katie Young (Tyler) of Guntown and Chase Porch (Jordan) of Blue Springs; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Agnes Loden (Ebb) of the Birmingham Ridge Community.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Thomas Easterling.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today, June 12, at W.E. Pegues in Saltillo.

Ruth Sewell
PONTOTOC – Ella Ruth Perry Sewell, 84, died Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at Church Street Personal Care Home in Ecru. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pontotoc, where she worked in the Nursery Department for over 50 years and was a member of the WMU. She was a retired administrative assistant at the Mississippi Department of Human Services and a former Jaycette. She enjoyed growing flowers, spending time with her grandchildren, and cooking for her family and friends.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, June 13, at First Baptist Church in Pontotoc with Dr. Ken Hester and Dr. Don Winter officiating. Burial will follow in the Pontotoc Memorial Gardens. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her daughter, Kathy Reece (Keith) of Tupelo; one son, Perry Sewell (Sharen) of Pontotoc; one sister, Maxine Cobb (John Ray) of New Albany; three grandchildren, Ian Boswell of South Lake Tahoe, Calif., Haley Sewell and Wesley Sewell, both of Pontotoc; and special friends, David and Bobbie Harrelson of Pontotoc.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Perry and Trebye Bullock Perry; her husband of 64 years, Billy Joe Sewell; an infant son: and two granddaughters, Kathryn Bethany Reece and Ilisabeth Anna Reece.
Pallbearers will be Ian Boswell, Wesley Sewell, Johnny Cobb, David Helms, David Harrelson and Judge Fred Wicker. Honorary pallbearers will be the staff at Church Street Personal Care Home.

RANDOLPH – Margie I. Edington, 67, died Monday, June 10, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center. She was a former employee of Litton Furniture. She loved working outdoors and being with her family and friends.

She is survived by four children, Vonnie Conlee of Pontotoc, Becky Davis (Bobby Davis) of Ecru, Billy Edington of Pontotoc and Carla Kohl of Pontotoc; five grandchildren, Angie Owen (Brad Owen) of Pontotoc, Eric Conlee of Pontotoc, Jason Davis (Hannah Davis) of Tupelo, Ashley Edington of Pontotoc and Paige Kohl of Pontotoc; seven great-grandchildren, Bradley, Emaley, Harley, Hunter, Katherin, Hailey and London; one sister, Joann Warren; and several nieces and nephews.

PONTOTOC – Carole Lynn Sofield Duke, 73, died Monday, June 10, 2013, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was born May 7, 1940, in New York City to Raymond and Gloria Sofield. She loved shopping, traveling, the outdoors and her family. She was a retired truck driver with 20 years service to Overnite Transportation. She was a loving and wonderful wife to James Alvin Duke for 32 years.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 13, at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc. Bro. Steve Parrish will officiate. Burial will be in Baldwin Memorial Gardens in Pontotoc. Tutor Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her husband, James Alvin Duke; four daughters, Shannon Ledbetter (Eddie), Donna Stanley (Dennis), Ann Bailey (Dennis) and Brenda Carroll; two sons, Wesley Duke (Tina) and Charles Duke; 22 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; one brother, Raymond Sofield Jr.
She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Sofield Sr.; her mother, Gloria White Sofield; and one son, William Daniel Hagan Jr.
