NEW ALBANY – Beloved Dot Hill, wife of Glen Hill, from Keownville, passed away to be with her Heavenly Father on Friday, June 21, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Born Dorothy Hazel Gadd, on July 9, 1933, in Potts Camp, to Earnest and Ezra Gadd, she was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church where she had lovingly taught Sunday School. She was active in the community, serving in the school system, extension service cannery, county fair, poll assistant and served as Women’s Chairman of Farm Bureau. She enjoyed gardening, canning, quilting, baking, fishing and hunting.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 23, at United Funeral Service Chapel. Brother Don Wilson will officiate. She will be laid to rest in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. No graveside services will be held.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, David Glen Hill; three daughters, Beverly (Glenn) Harrell of Prairieville, La., Brenda (Paul) Gowdy of Ripley and Patricia (Vernon) Lawless of Richmond Hill, Ga.; nine grandchildren, Victoria Wleczyk, Kathy Youngblood, Michelle Haltom, Kevin Mauney, Trisha Guieterrez, Michael Gowdy, Sharon Graves, Russell Lawless and Kaylee Lawless; and 15 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Ganus (Estell) Gadd and Clifton (Jill) Gadd; one sister, Irma Carlson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Darsie (Lacy) Ivy.
Pallbearers will be Russell Lawless, Ricky Gadd, Tim Rowland, Arthur Tate, Terry Hill, Richard Hill, Steve Robbins and Wayne Ligon.

SHELBY – George Duncan Hatcher, 63, died Thursday, June 20, 2013, at Germantown Methodist Hospital. He was the son of John Andrew “Jack” Hatcher Sr. and Elizabeth Anne Mosby Hatcher. He was born Dec. 12, 1949, in Jackson and lived most of his youth in Sunflower County. He attended Indianola Elementary School and graduated from Drew High School. He graduated from Delta State College. He worked for the Mississippi State Tax Commission, the Internal Revenue Service and as an air traffic controller for the Federal Aviation Administration and later as an oil and gas land man. At the time of his death, he was residing in Shelby. He was a Methodist.
A celebration of life service will be held at 3 p.m. today at Boone-Card Funeral Home in Indianola. Interment will follow later at the Indianola City Cemetery in the Mosby/Hatcher family plots.
He is survived by his son, Cody Michael Hatcher of Memphis, Tenn.; grandson, Cody Michael Stumbo of Somerville, Tenn.; very special friend, Linda Balducci of Shelby; three siblings, John A. Hatcher Jr. (Kathy) of Booneville, Mary Anne Hatcher McCullough (Charles) of Clinton and Harold Hatcher (Lee) of Katy, Texas; nieces: Bethany Hatcher, Rachel Hatcher and Michelle Hatcher Mangum; nephew Charlie McCullough; stepchild, Melissa Nichols Cookston (Pete) of Hernando; stepson, Mark Nichols (Kelly); step-children, Lauren Cookston, Jacob Nichols, Audrey Nichols and Chad Nichols.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and nephew Mathew Hatcher.

BRUCE – Rickey Dean Tutor, 47, died Friday, June 21, 2013, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church. He was president of Calhoun County Saddle Club and a member of the 4-H Equine club. He was married for 29 years and loved fishing and hunting.
Services will be held at 4 p.m. Monday, June 24, at Faith Baptist Church with the Rev. James Taylor will be officiating. Belle Memorial Funeral Home of Bruce is in charge.
He is survived by his by wife, Carolyn Tutor; two sons, Casey and William Tutor, all of Bruce; three brothers, Herman Tutor of Houlka, Jerry Tutor of Bruce and Dale Tutor of Big Creek; and one sister, Candy Tutor of Bruce.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry and Terry Tutor.
Pallbearers are Ronald Hughes, Ron Hughes, John Hollinger, Kevin Gaither, Zach Buchanan and Billy Hardin.

FULTON – Cecil Raymond Wilson, 90, died Friday, June 21, 2013, in Amory. He was born Sept. 6, 1922, in Prentiss County, to Russell William “R.W.” Wilson and Elvie Winfield Wilson. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church. He grew up in Itawamba County, lived in Aberdeen and returned to Fulton in 1990. He served in the Civilian conservation Corp working in irrigation in California. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army 10th Armored Division in charge of ammunitions. He fought in the Battle of the Bulge in Bastogne, Belgium, and in France and Germany. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, the American Campaign Medal, the Euro-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, Bronze Star Attachment (Triple), WWII Victory Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge 1st Award, Honorable Service Lapel Button WWII and Marksman Badge and Rifle Bar. He operated heavy equipment for Fowlkes Contracting in Aberdeen for 20 years before retiring. He then worked in explosives for beaver control overseeing all Town Creek watershed lakes in five counties. He enjoyed coon hunting, deer hunting, trapping, fishing and raising cattle. He also raised registered Tree and Walker coonhounds.
Service is at 2 p.m. Monday, June 24, at Senter Funeral Home with Bro. James Wilson officiating. Interment is at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
He is survived by his sons, Bobby (Johnnie) Wilson of Tremont and Dale Wilson of Smithville; daughters, Betty (Jerry) Nixon of Corinth and Brenda Wilson of Smithville; stepsons, Donnie Johnson, Danny Johnson and Tony Johnson; grandchildren, Janie Taylor of Tremont, Joey (Michael) Hughey of Smithville, Emily (Brandon) Lackey of Amory, Rodney Nixon of Pearl, Amy (Brian) Craven of Brentwood, Tenn., Bobby (Melina) Nixon of Columbus, Ohio, and Jeri Anne (Clint) Darby of Chicago, Ill.; brothers, Grady (Mozell) Wilson of Fulton and Thad (Agnes) Wilson of Tremont; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Diane Wilson of Mosinee, Wis.
He was preceded in death by his father, R.W. Wilson; mother, Elvie Wilson; daughter, Nola Gail Wilson; brothers, Murden Wilson, Ottis Ray Wilson, Roger Wilson, Velton Wilson, Bluford Wilson and Paul Wilson; sister, Pauline Wilson; granddaughter, Sherry Bostick; daughter-in-law, Bettie Wilson; and sister-in-laws, Olene Wilson and Elsie Wilson.
Pallbearers will be his nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be his coon hunting buddies.

TUPELO – George Johnson, 85, died Wednesday, May 19, 2013, at North Mississippi Inpatient Hospice in Tupelo. He was born May 5, 1928, to Gene Wade Johnson and Gallie Lee Williams. He enjoyed planting his garden, loved his flowers and always had garden of the month. He retired from Rockwell International with over 25 years of services. He was a member of the Elks Club.
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving daughter, Galisheba (Roderick) Tuggers of Tupelo; two brothers, Marvin (Beatrice) Johnson Sr. of St Louis, Mo., and Joe (Dorothy) Johnson of Merryville, Ill.; three sisters, Frankie Mae Hodges of St Louis, Mo., Willie Mae Doss of Shannon and Dorothy J. Buchanan of Columbus; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Service is at noon Monday, June 24, at N.L. Jones Chapel with Roderick Tuggers officiating. Burial is at Porters Memorial.

HOUSTON – William David Coggins, 56, died Friday, June 21, 2013, at Aberdeen Care Center. He was born March 11, 1957, in Clay County, to Leon David Coggins and Lillian Grace McMullin Moore. He was a member of Houston Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his sister, Brenda Kilgore (Billy Jay) of Houston; and two nieces, Kellie Atkinson (John) of Shannon and Angel Kilgore of Columbus.

PONTOTOC – Nathan Everett Tutor, 52, died Saturday, June 22, 2013, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. He was born Sept. 17, 1960, to Q.T. and Addlene Constance Tutor. He graduated from North Pontotoc Attendance Center in 1978 and Mississippi State University in 1985. He was employed by Pontotoc Electric Power Company as a civil engineer and enjoyed hunting, cycling and spending time with his family. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pontotoc and he served for many years in the Gideons Organization.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Browning Funeral Home Chapel in Pontotoc with Dr. Ken Hester officiating. Interment will follow in Ecru Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Stark Tutor, of Pontotoc; one daughter, Rachel Elizabeth Tutor; two sons, Aaron Nathaniel Tutor and Jesse Oliver Tutor, all of Pontotoc; father, Q.T. Tutor; three sisters, Diann Easterling, Clarice Turner and Regina Bailey; and five brothers, Floyd Tutor, Q.T. Tutor Jr., Jackie Tutor, Chuck Tutor and Mark Tutor.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Addlene Constance Garner Tutor.

BRANDON – Donald Ford Hall, 79, died Friday, June 21, 2013. He graduated from Sherman High School and received his bachelor’s degree from Mississippi State University. He served two years as an officer in the U.S. Army. He taught math and coached at Puckett High School and then Brandon High School. He later worked for the Mississippi State Tax Commission. He enjoyed gardening, hunting and golfing for many years. His greatest passion was following the Mississippi State bulldogs.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 24, at Ott and Lee Funeral Home at 1360 W. Government St. in Brandon.
He is survived by his wife, Ottris; three children, Keith Hall of Nashville, Tenn., Ken Hall of Brandon and Kristie McGee (David) of Starkville; and four grandchildren, Candace Feazell (Jim), Kelli McGee, Casey McGee and Billy McGee.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Annie Lou Hall; and his sister, Sarah Porch.

Bro. Thomas Rossi
AMORY – Bro. Thomas Rossi, 73, died Friday, June 21, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center. Born on May 14, 1940, in Place, he was a son of Thomas J. Rossi and the late Arveda Forquer Smith. He was the owner-operator of Rossi Drilling. A dedicated minister of the Gospel, he was a supply preacher and evangelist, having recently served at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church. Passionate about missions, he traveled to several third-world countries to drill wells, build churches, repair equipment and to do gardening. Last year, he received his Doctorate in Theology from Oxford Baptist Institute. He was a member of Traceland Missionary Baptist Church in Verona and a Mason. A hardworking and wonderful husband and dad, He enjoyed gardening, mowing yards, studying on the computer preparing for his sermons and Sunday school lessons and Gospel music.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 24, at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home with Dr. Charles Faust officiating. Burial will follow in Haughton Memorial Park.
He is survived by his wife, Hattie Mae Rossi of Amory; father, Thomas Rossi (Allie) of Luray, Mo.; daughters, Joyce Dillard of Sulligent, Brenda Carruth (Roger) of Sulligent, Patty Hawkins (Thad) of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Debbie Mayfield (Mike) of Vernon; sons, Rick Martin of Sulligent, Danny Baughn of Amory and James Johnson of Hamilton, Ala.; brother, Roger Rossi (Delores) of Arizona; 20 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Herbert Smith; first wife, Helen Martin Rossi; daughter, Lisa White; and granddaughter, Jody Hunizenga.

BALDWYN – Freida P. Miller Burleson, 85, died Saturday, June 22, 2013, at Darlington Oaks Community Hospice in Verona. She was a member of East Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Her hobbies were sewing, cooking, family and church. Most of her working life was spent working in the garment industry. After leaving Baldwyn, she lived in Oklahoma and Missouri for more than 50 years before moving back to Baldwyn, after becoming widowed in 2011. She enjoyed being with family and friends and loved catching up with old friends and family. While in Missouri her passion for cooking left many good memories for all she loved. She was a graduate of Baldwyn High School.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, June 24, at East Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Bro. Bill Adams officating. Burial will be in the East Mt. Zion Cemetery. Kesler Funeral Home of Baldwyn is in charge of the arrangements.
