Lee Ragin
BALDWYN – Lee Wesley Ragin, 81, died Monday, June 24, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born Dec. 17, 1931, to James Ragin and Kitty Mae McGee in Prentiss County.
Service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 29, at Mt. Olive M.B. Church in Baldwyn with the Rev. Wayne Myles officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Agnew and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include seven daughters, Kay Dalrymple, Teresa Ragin and Mary Ragin of Baldwyn, Laura (Jeff) Stevens of Tupelo, Sharin Ragin and Sandra Tiggs of Verona, and Melissa (Mondale) Davis of Booneville; one son, Marvin (Joyce)Ragin of Dorsey; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and relatives.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sara E Simmons Ragin; one daughter, Linda Hans; his brother, Melvin Ragin; and two sons-in-law, Tony Dalrymple and Christopher Tiggs.

Angela Bryowsky
FULTON – Angela D. Cantrell Bryowsky, 47, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born Feb. 11, 1966, to Bill Cantrell and Jimmie Wiginton Cantrell. She retired from NMMC with 25 years of service. She was a member of Northstar Church.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 29, at Northstar Church in Saltillo. Michael Bowers will officiate. Senter Funeral Home of Fulton is in charge of the arrangements.
She is survived by her husband, Joe Bryowsky of Fulton; four sons, Christopher Gann of Hamilton, Ala., Joseph Bryowsky of Faulker, Chris (Kelli) Bryowsky of Ripley and Kevin (Kathryn) Bryowsky of Milam, Tenn.; her mother, Jimmie Cantrell of Hamilton, Ala.; a brother, Tim Cantrell of Hamilton, Ala.; a sister, Krista (Mike) McClinton of Vail, Colo.; grandsons, Channer Bryowsky and Kallen Bryowsky of Ripley; and granddaughters, Averlee Bryowsky of Ripley, Kinley Bryowsky of Milam, Tenn., and Kyra James of Walnut.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bill Cantrell.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Northstar Church.

Peggie Gaillard
RIPLEY – Peggie Pearlie Mae Gaillard, 63, died Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. She was born Oct. 19, 1949, in Falkner to Robert and Susie Gaillard. She joined Bethlehem M.B. Church at an early age. She received her B.S. degree in 1972 from Rust College, where she majored in business administration. She worked as a bookkeeper for Kraft Food Inc. in Chicago and for 25 years for Colom Construction Co.
Services will be at noon Saturday, June 29, at Bethlehem M.B. Church at Falkner. Pastor James Howell will officiate. Burial will be in Ruckersville Cemetery at Falkner. Foster and Son Funeral Home of Ripley is in charge of the arrangements.
She is survived by one son, Tousainti Gaillard of Falkner; her siblings, Sarah (Bill) Braddock, Pansy (John) Westbrook, Shirley Ann Gaillard, Elbert Gaillard, Norman (Edith) Gaillard, Billy Gaillard, Earnest (Jeanette) Gaillard and Donnie (Chancea) Gaillard; three aunts; nieces; and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, John Robert Gaillard.
Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. today and family hour from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to service time Saturday.

Wilbur Lee Todd
TUPELO – Wilbur Lee Todd, 89, died Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at his home at Traceway Manor in Tupelo. He was born in Lambert to Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ernest Todd. He attended Oxford Elementary and University High School in Oxford, graduating in 1942. He served in World War II in Europe. After serving in the military, he earned a BBA degree and an MBA degree in business at the University of Mississippi. He married the love of his life, Virginia McArthur, on Dec. 12, 1964. She preceded him in death. He retired in 1986 as a supervisor with the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation. He is an Elder Emeritus at First Presbyterian Church in Oxford. A lifelong Ole Miss Rebel, he enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved writing and sharing his life stories. He will be remembered for his vibrant personality, his integrity, his love of family and zest for life.
He is survived by his daughter, Lee Ann Davidson (Lee) of Amory; his son, Robert Todd (Wren) of Asheville, N.C.; a sister, Marinell Rector of Hendersonville, N.C.; two brothers-in-law, Paul Parker of Water Valley and Irvin McArthur (Margaret) of Colorado; two sisters-in-law, Maxie McArthur of Maryville, Tenn., and Margaret McArthur of Rock Hill, S.C.; three grandchildren, Jessica Leigh and Bryce Todd Davidson, and Dashiell McArthur Todd; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; his brother, Jimmy Todd; and two sisters, Charlotte Parker and Sarah Johnson.
A celebration of witness to the resurrection service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 29, at First Presbyterian Church in Oxford. The Reverends John Semmes, Ann Kelly and Wil Howie will officiate. Visitation will begin at noon. Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Living Waters of the World, First Presbyterian Church, Oxford.

WEST POINT – Eldora Hamilton Odneal, 97, died Monday, June 24, 2013, at Dugan Nursing Home in West Point.

WEST POINT – Willie J. Manning, 71, died Sunday, June 23, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center in West Point.

MILWAUKEE – Lenon Spence, 66, died Tuesday, June 18, 2013, in Milwaukee, Wis.
Services were Wednesday, June 26, at Macedonia M.B. Church. Burial was in the Andy Dilworth Cemetery. Patterson Memorial Chapel of Corinth was in charge of the arrangements.

Margaret Autry
HORN LAKE – Margaret S. Autry, 87, died Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Desoto in Southaven.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 29, at Holly Springs Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery at Holly Springs.

HOLLY SPRINGS – L.C. “Lance” Jones, 67, died Friday, June 21, 2013, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto in Southaven.

Ruby Ballard
PICKENSVILLE, Ala. – Ruby Conerly Ballard, 77, passed away, on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at her home, in Pickensville, Ala. She was born Feb. 24, 1936, in Monroe County to Preston Johnston and Ethel Adelaide Bush Conerly. She was the bookkeeper for Ballard and Hudspeth Construction Co. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Pickensville and a member of West Point Red Hat Society. She married Edward Stinson Ballard Sr. on Jan. 10, 1953. He passed away Jan. 20, 2007.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 29, at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel in West Point with Dr. Stan Ballard officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in West Point. Calvert Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include two daughters, Terry Ballard Geer (Mahlon) of Columbus and Karen Ballard Cockrell of Starkville; son, Richard Ballard (Beverly) of Louisville; 11 grandchildren, Will Ballard (Jamie), Dane Ballard (Keli), Luke Ballard, Elisabeth Golson (Tyler), Kylie Moody, Chad Moody (Hope), Jeffery Moody, Jesse Geer, Justin Cockrell, Alaina Cockrell and Kristen Cockrell. six great-grandchildren, Brayden Moody, Dalton Moody, Conerly Moody, Hayes Moody, Sutton Ballard and Holden Hollingsworth; a brother, Jim Conerly (Joyce) of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Edward Stinson Ballard, Jr,; four sisters, Emma Roebuck, Mamie Jackson, Marjorie Conerly and Joanne Westbrook; and four brothers, Preston, Walter, Lonnie and Willie Conerly.
Pallbearers will be Will Ballard, Dane Ballard, Luke Ballard, Kiley Moody, Chad Moody, Jeffery Moody, Justin Cockrell, Jesse Geer, Jonny Haney and Buck Morgan.

Sereda Sims
TUPELO – Sereda Green Sims, 54, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2013, at her home. A devoted, wife, mother and daughter, she was a member of New Resident Missionary Baptist Church, where she served on the Usher Board, Missionary Board, Sunday School secretary, a member of the choir and the kitchen committee. She was a 1977 graduate of Pontotoc High School and a former employee of the North Mississippi Medical Center.
Honoring her life service will be at noon Saturday, June 29, at the New Resident M.B. Church in Belden with the Rev. Jason Ivy presiding. Burial will follow at College Hill Cemetery. Grayson-Porter’s Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
She is survived by her daughter, Sonja B. Sims of the home; one stepdaughter, Evelyn C. Sims of Holly Springs; one sister, Christina (Willie) Partlow of Tupelo; one aunt, Ceola Castleberry Green of Tupelo; and two stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Sims; her parents, Roosevelt and Henrietta Castleberry Green; two brothers, Robert Lee Green and Hollis Green; one niece, Annie Pearl Green.
Viewing will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the J.W. Porter’s Chapel. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to services on Saturday.

William Wright
ABERDEEN – William Harold Wright, 69, died in Monroe County. He was born Jan. 5, 1944, to Farris Preston Wright and Gladys A. Self Wright in Taylor. He was a lifelong resident of Aberdeen and a graduate of Aberdeen High School. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard. He was a member of First Christian Church. He was a retired electrician and owner of Wright Electric Company.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 29, in Tisdale-Lann Memorial Chapel in Aberdeen with Bro. Lloyd Sweatt officiating. Burial will be in Oddfellows Rest Cemetery.
Survivors include one daughter, Samantha Williams (Tommy) of Aberdeen; one son, Tony Wright (Sandy) of Hatley; four grandchildren, Tyler E. Williams, Taylor Duke Williams, Ashton Blair Wright and Camron Gabe Wright; one sister, Diane Hamilton of Aberdeen; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Linda K. Duke Wright; four sisters, Mildred Thompson, Robbie Easter, Edith Bush and Wilma Staten; and one brother, Travis Wright.
Pallbearers will be Robert Duke, Phillip Duke, Phil Duke, Wayne Duke, Dusty Duke and Donnie Easter.

PONTOTOC – James Clifton “Doc” West, 63, died Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. He was born Jan. 7, 1950, in Marshall County to Lacy and Alice Martin West. He was a member of Apostolic Revival Center in New Albany. He was disabled.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today, June 28, at United Funeral Service Chapel in New Albany with the Rev. Steve Denton officiating. Burial will be in Vista Memorial Park. United Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.
He is survived by one sister, Minnie Sue Lowery of Ripley; several nephews and cousins; and a special friend and caregiver, Betty Jean Smith.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Frank Walls West and Barnette Martin.

GUNTOWN – Sarah Ann Cates, 64, died Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at Baldwyn Nursing Facility. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church and a retired factory employee. She was a sitter for the elderly after retiring. A loving and devoted mother and grandmother, she enjoyed spending time with her family and many friends, and talking with her friends at the local coffee shop. She was a joy to be around.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 29, at Kesler Funeral Home Chapel in Baldwyn with Bro. Bobby Robbins and Bro. Mike Johnson officating. Burial will be in Campbelltown Cemetery. Kesler Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include one daughter, Carrie Lewis (Chris) of Guntown; one son, Tracy Cates (Missy) of Guntown; her mother, Johnnie Herring of Guntown; one sister, Janice Mitchell (Sam) of Guntown; one brother, Bud Herring (Pat) of Guntown; two grandchildren, Brock and Kennedy-Grace Cates; one stepgrandchild, Mikaela Lewis; and several aunts,uncles, cousins and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Earnest (Tapper) Herring.

Josephine Suggs
CALHOUN CITY – Josephine Smith Suggs, 91, died Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at Community Hospice at Darlington Oaks in Verona. She was born Nov. 13, 1921, in Calhoun City to Eddie Leslie Smith and Beatrice Goodson Smith. She was a retired seamstress for Kellwood and a member of Church of the Nazarene. She loved family gatherings and enjoyed Christmas and making Christmas candy and loved all her family. She had a strong faith in God and kept her faith up to the end.
Survivors include one daughter, Linda Lee of Southaven; one son, Scotty (Carolyn) Suggs of Belden; one sister, Rogenia Pollan of Calhoun City; nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Suggs; a daughter, Pat Suggs Alexander; and her parents.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today, June 28, at Pryor Funeral Home Chapel in Calhoun City. Bro. Buford Usry and Bro. Mike Whitten will officiate. Burial will be in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Calhoun City.
Pallbearers will be Brian Lee, Dean Lee, John Suggs Jr., Gene Alexander, D.J. Lee and Johnny Hawkins.

MONTPELIER – Nancy Harrington Cliett, 94, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2013, at Waverly Care Home in West Point.
