MOOREVILLE – Scott Stephens, 42, died Thursday, June 28, 2012, at his residence. He was born Nov. 23, 1969, to Maxie L. and Mary A. Young Stephens. He loved working and reparing things that needed to be done. God recieved a very special angel today. I’ll never forget how you raised me and the values I was taught. I didn’t have the chance to say goodbye, but know I will see you again. Please know that I love you and always have.
Private family services will be held at W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors.
Survivors include his wife of two years, Felecia Stephens Glass of Mooreville; four sons, Mitchell Ryan Holmes of Troy, Mo., Timothy James Penrose of Indianapolis, Ind., Matthew Scott Stephens of Alva, Okla., and Joseph Lee Stephens of Okinawa, Japan; five stepchildren, Cameron Glass, Matthew Glass and Destiny Westmoreland, all of Mooreville, Kylie Coggins of Garden City, Ga., and Amber Coggins of Okinawa, Japan; his father, Maxie L. Stephens of Cullman, Ala.; one sister, Stephanie Baker of Avon Park, Fla.; two brothers, Shawn Stephens of Galesburg, Ill., and James Stephens of Peoria, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary A. Young.

BOONEVILLE – Margie Genevieve Isbell Franks, 87, died Friday, June 29, 2012, at home after an extended illness. She was born Aug. 6, 1924, to Ed and Jean Hellums Isbell. She was a homemaker and a member of East Booneville Baptist Church.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Rickey Kelly officiating. Burial will be in the Siloam Cemetery.
She is survived by two daughters, Ruth Filley of Booneville and Becky (Bill) Kline of Tupelo; two sisters, Betty McAnally of Tupelo and Claudia Senter of New Albany; three grandchildren, Lara Mansell, Randy (Becky) Mansell and Chris (Shauna) Filley; and three great-grandchildren, Sam and Bowen Mansell, and Ashley Filley.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Haygood Franks; her parents; two sisters, Alice Craig and Shirley Robinson; and one brother, Leaburn Isbell.

LAMAR – James Michael Autry, 61, died Thursday, June 28, 2012, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis. He was born May 30, 1951, in Memphis. He was a mechanic and a member of Bluff Springs Baptist Church.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Holly Springs Funeral Home with Bro. Donald Worsham and Bro. Farron Ash officiating. Burial will be in the Autry Family Cemetery at Lamar.
Survivors include his wife, Deborah Thompson Autry of Lamar; one daughter, Missy Autry Byrd (Gary) of Lamar; one brother, Harley Autry of Ashland; three sisters, Nita Nunnally (Wayne Yeager), Barbara Byrd (Charles) and Linda Bolden, all of Ashland; grandchildren, Dustin Autry, Mark Cody Autry and Andrea Byrd.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harley Autry and Juanita Elliott Autry; a sister, Cathy Goode; and two brothers, Marion “Buddy” Autry and Mark Goode Autry.

ABERDEEN – Everette Jean White, 75, died Thursday, June 28, 2012, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus. He was born Aug. 10, 1936, to Elmer Lee White and Thelma Doris Whisenhunt White in Hot Springs, Ark. He lived in Aberdeen since 1975. He served in the U.S. Air Force and retired in automation maintenance. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. He loved family, hunting and gardening.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the Tisdale-Lann Memorial Chapel in Aberdeen with the Rev. Truman Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Oddfellows Rest Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Jerylene “Shug” Hall White of Aberdeen; four sons, Danny White of Denver, Colo., Billy White (Dora) of Great Falls, Va., Patrick White (Rileen) of Hot Springs Village, Ark., and Gregory White of Aberdeen; one stepdaughter, Marianne Andres (Percy) of Torrance, Calif.; one stepson, Barry Kelly (Suzanne) of Bellaire, Texas; one sister, Sharron Samford (John) of Hot Springs, Ark.; one brother, C.J. White (Florence) of Hot Springs, Ark.; and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Douglas White and D.L. White.

BELMONT – Franklin Delano “Frank” Brosious, 79, died Thursday, June 28, 2012, at his residence. He was employed by Mann Gas Co. in Belmont for 31 years. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was an avid fisherman.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Calvary Baptist Church in Belmont with Bro. Randy Buse officiating. Burial will be in Dennis Memory Gardens at Dennis. Deaton Funeral Home of Belmont is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors are his wife of 56 years, Marjorie Brosious of Belmont; three children, Frankie Brosious and Marilyn Crane (Tommy), all of Belmont, and Eddie Brosious of Nashville, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Samantha Johnson (Lee) of Belmont, Devin Fancher (Grant) of Mooreville and Nikki Tacker (John Michael) of Thaxton; one great-granddaughter, Stella Johnson; one great-grandson, Ridge Tacker; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie W. Brosious and Celestie Fuller Brosious; one brother, Eugene Brosious; and three sisters, Rachel Ables, Leah Ables and Hazel Ables.
Pallbearers will be deacons of Calvary Baptist Church.

JACKSON – Darwin A. “Dub” Nash, 81, died on Thursday, June 28, 2012, at Central Mississippi Medical Center. Born on June 8, 1931, in Hatley, he was a son of the late Dave and Sue Eubanks Nash. He attended Hatley High School and honorably served in the U.S. Army. On Dec. 26, 1954, he married Jeanette Palmer. He worked at a factory in Hatley before going to barber school. While in Amory, he was a member of Christian Chapel Church of Christ. After moving to Jackson in 1979, he worked as a barber until retiring in 2005. He was a member of Jackson Church of Christ and a Mason. A good man with a big heart who saw the best in everything, he enjoyed helping others and spending time with his family and friends.
A celebration of life service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home with Marshall Eubanks Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jeanette Nash of Jackson; sisters, Mauvolene Trembelas of Amory and Dorothy Nash of Hatley; nephew, David Dallas; great-nephew, David Dallas Jr.; and special friend, Randle Gray.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.

MARIETTA – Horace Russell DeVaughn 80, died Friday, June 29, 2012, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville after a brief illness. He was born April 12, 1932, to William Howard “Gube” DeVaughn and Ruby Boren DeVaughn. He was a member of the East Marietta Baptist Church and an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a graduate of Mississippi State University and the University of Mississippi with bachelor of science and master of science degrees in education. He was a former coach and teacher in the Prentiss County School System. He was a retired businessman in the wood processing industry, and former mayor for the city of Marietta. He was a former Scoutmaster and was awarded the Silver Beaver Award by the Yocona Area Council.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Waters Funeral Home. Burial will be in the East Marietta Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Linda DeVaughn of Marietta; his children, Debbie Flurry (Eddie) of Booneville, Teddy DeVaughn (Sherry) of Marietta, Benny DeVaughn of Marietta, Marla Clark of Memphis and Sam DeVaughn of Marietta; a stepson, Ramey Wells; his grandchildren, Jason Flurry (Kelly), Kevin Flurry (Ashleigh), Suzanne Flurry, Derek DeVaughn (Misty), Drew DeVaughn, Anna Kathryn Clark, Kyle Clark, Laken Clark, Zack DeVaughn and Darby DeVaughn; great-grandchildren, Colin Flurry, Reagan Flurry and Webb DeVaughn; his mother, Ruby DeVaughn; and brothers, Billy Joe DeVaughn, Freddie DeVaughn and David DeVaughn.
He was preceded in death by his father; the mother of his children, Virgina DeVaughn; and a granddaughter, Holly DeVaughn.
