OXFORD – Gwen Miller Maloney, 90, died Monday, March 18, 2013, at her home at Emeritus of Oxford.
A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Oxford Memorial Cemetery in Oxford. Waller Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of the arrangements.

Charlotte Parker
WATER VALLEY – Charlotte Todd Parker, 98, died Saturday, March 16, 2013, at her home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Water Valley. Burial will take place in Oak Hill Cemetery. Seven Oaks Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Boyce Gresham
MYRTLE – Boyce A. Gresham, 81, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2013. He was born Jan. 2, 1932, to Tommy Lee and Mary Benefield Gresham. He graduated from Myrtle High School and worked most of his life as a much sought after painter and finishing carpenter. Even more well known as a superb sportsman, he was a bird dog trainer, hunter and fisherman. When he was not working or enjoying the outdoors, he was an avid reader, who kept the local library busy. He was a Baptist.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at United Funeral Home in New Albany with Bro. Jason Howell officiating. Burial will be in Gerizim Cemetery in Myrtle. United Funeral Service of New Albany is in charge of the arrangements.
He is survived by one sister-in-law, Bobbie Gresham Rhea; and nephews and nieces, including Lee McAllister, Linda Tapp, Bonnie Davidson, Kathy Mitchell, Gary Gresham and Bill Gresham; a host of great-nieces and great-nephews; and two special friends, Tommie McNutt and Jimmy Snyder.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Tommy and Mary Gresham; two brothers, Leroy Gresham and Travis Gresham; and two sisters, Thelma McAllister and Bertha Gresham.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Jimmy Warren Jr.
HOLLY SPRINGS – James William “Jimmy” Warren Jr., 65, died Monday, March 18, 2013. A lifelong resident of Holly Springs, he was a graduate of Holly Springs High School, where he was valedictorian. He received his bachelor’s degree and his juris doctorate from the University of Mississippi, where he was a member of Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity and Phi Alpha Delta Legal Fraternity. He served as a 1st and 2nd lieutenant in the U.S. Army, Military Police Corps and as an armored cavalry officer and executive officer in the Mississippi National Guard.
He began practicing law in 1975 at his law firm,Warren and Jones. He served as Holly Springs municipal judge, attorney for the Marshall County Board of Supervisors and legal advisor for the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department. From 1989-2007 he served as an assistant U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Mississippi and acted as chief of the Asset Forfeiture Unit Criminal Division and District Office security manager. Since retiring from the U.S. Attorney’s office, he has been an investigator with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department and served by invitation on the joint FBI/ATF Tobacco Task Force.
He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church; president of the Advisory Board for the School of Applied Sciences at the University of Mississippi; former president of the Holly Springs Rotary Club; a member of the Oxford Rotary Club; and a Paul Harris Fellow. For more than 45 years, he served as a volunteer with Holly Springs Volunteer Fire Department. He was honored by the University of Mississippi Department of Legal Studies with the 2006 Alumni Meritorious Service Award and the 2007 Outstanding Criminal Justice Alumni.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Christ Episcopal Church in Holly Springs. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Holly Springs. Holly Springs Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Susan Stegall Warren; a daughter, Alexis Warren Williams (Clay) of Ocean Springs; his mother, Dorothy Warren of Holly Springs; a grandson, Warren Lewis Williams of Ocean Springs; and his sister, Sally Permenter (Fred) of Ripley.
He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Thomas Warren; his father, Jimmy Warren; an aunt, Mary F. Warren; and an uncle, Charles F. Warren.

BYHALIA – Joe Walton Jr., 62, died Thursday, March 14, 2013, at Trinity Mission Health and Rehab in Byhalia.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Eddie L. Smith Multi-Purpose Complex in Holly Springs. Burial will be in Cottrell Memorial Garden in Holly Springs. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home of Holly Springs is in charge of the arrangements.

CORINTH – Lois Evelyn Streetman Crider, 75, died Monday, March 18, 2013, at her home.

PONTOTOC – Mary Madge Gillespie Roye, 93, died Monday, March 18, 2013, at Cedars Rehab Facility.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

Rick White
BALDWYN – Thomas Richard “Rick” White, 55, died Sunday, March 17, 2013, at his home. He was a former truck driver. He loved his family and loved playing music.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc. Burial will follow in the Campbelltown Cemetery in Guntown. Tutor Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include two daughters, Christina Hyland and Dawn White of Pontotoc; three sons, James White, Taylor White and Ryan White; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Maryann Copeland and Regina White; two brothers, Dewayne McMillan and Ronnie Scott; and her stepmother, Mary White.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Katherine Wells; his father, James Thomas White; and his wife, Cynthia Jean White.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to service time today.

Janis Robison
GUNTOWN – Janis Rene Robison, 54, passed away at her residence after a sudden illness. She was a lifelong resident of Guntown. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and working with her husband, Billy, in their garden. She was a loving housewife with a giving heart. She loved Jesus and attended a Baptist church regularly.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Camp Creek Cemetery with Bro. Wayne Frederick officiating. Waters Funeral Home of Baldwyn is in charge of the arrangements.
She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Billy Robison of Guntown; five children, April Ferguson (Rod) of Booneville, Ashley Brown (Jason) of Saltillo, Dena Robison of Guntown, Angie Tollison (Steve) of Saltillo and Chris Robison (Janet) of Guntown; her mother, Sybal Laird; three brothers, John Laird (Sherry), Robert Laird and Daniel Laird; two sisters, Virginia Sanford (Roy) and Dawn Baldwin; grandchildren, Talon and Lilly Ferguson, Lexie and Jacie Brown, Andrew, Hope and Alex Patterson, Stephanie, Josh and Justin Tollison, Kristen and Jodee Robison; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, R.W. Laird; a brother, Ruben Laird; a sister, Kitty Jordan; nephew, Edward Gillenwater; stepgranddaughter, Anna Rebecca Robison.; and a great-nephew, Memphis Ray.

IUKA – Betty Sue Holland, 79, died Monday, March 18, 2013, at her residence. She was an active member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. She was formerly employed at Iuka Shirt Factory and at Genesco Shoe Company. She enjoyed reading and playing the piano at church. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church with Bro. Phillip Logan officiating. Interment will follow in Cypress Grove Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include one son, Donald Holland (Felicia) of Red Bay, Ala.; two daughters, Pat Stewart (J.P.) of Tuscumbia, Ala., and Lynette Kemp of Belmont; three brothers, James Hayden Taylor of Iuka, and Doug Taylor and Harry Taylor, both of Olive Branch, MS; three sisters, Glenda Lovell of Rienzi, MS, and Jan Tyson and Nina Frederick, both of Pontotoc; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, T.B. Holland; her parents, J.H. and Velma Hopkins Taylor; and a sister, Gail Gleaton.
Pallbearers include Michael Kemp, Cory Young, Dustin Holland, J.W. Bryant, Matt Stewart and J.P. Stewart.

STARKVILLE – Sarah Johnson Dodd, 74, passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2013, at OCH Regional Medical Center in Starkville. She was a homemaker and a member of First Presbyterian Church in Starkville, where she served as a deacon and elder. She was very active in visiting the shut-ins of First Presbyterian Church. She received her bachelor’s degree from Mississippi State University.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church in Starkville. The Rev. Joey Sherrard will officiate. Burial will be in Oddfellows Cemetery. Welch Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Jimmy Dodd of Starkville; a daughter, Becky Davie (Jim) of Fall City, Wash.; son, David Dodd (Debbie) of Huntsville, Ala.; brother, Floyd Johnson Jr. (Shelia) of Starkville; and grandchildren, Lilly Davie, Calvin Davie, Jane Davie, Bella Davie, Lauren Kate Dodd and Johnny Dodd.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd Johnson Sr. and Gladys Smith Johnson; a son, Lee Donovan Dodd; and a brother, Don Johnson.

BOONEVILLE – Rosantina “Rosie” Ibanez Rinehart, died Monday, March 18, 2013, at Landmark Nursing Home. She was born to Felix and Paula Ibanez in San Diego, Texas, and raised on a horse and cattle ranch. She attended school in San Diego and graduated from William Adams High School in Alice, Texas. She attended college at Texas A&I, where she majored in accounting. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at McMillan Funeral Home in Booneville with Bro. Bobby Hankins and Bro. John Cagle officiating. Burial will be in Prentiss Memorial Cemetery.
She is survived by one daughter, Paula (Bill) Ward of Booneville; one son, Mark Rinehart of Booneville; two sisters, Antonia Walker of Hobbs, N.M., and Mary (Al) Martinez of Alice, Texas; one brother, Victor (Naté) Ibanez of Alice, Texas; six grandchildren, Emily (Brian) Johnson, Trey (Leslie) Ward, Trent Ward, Taylor Rinehart, Sydni Rinehart and Braham Rinehart; three great-grandchildren, Ward, Cailyn and Mary Ellis Johnson; one brother-in-law, Duane Rinehart; one sister-in-law, Peggy Rinehart; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Gerald Rinehart; her parents; three sisters; two brothers; her in-laws, Irvin and Irma Rinehart; and special aunt and uncle, Coy and Nora Rinehart.

STARKVILLE – Larry Nathan McKibben, 18, passed away in an automobile accident on March 16, 2013. He was a student at East Mississippi Community College.

He is survived by his parents, Phillip and Daphne McKibben of Cumberland; sisters, Mary Catherine McKibben and Sally Joyce McKibben, both of Cumberland; brother, Stephen Andrew McKibben of Cumberland; his grandparents, Gerald and Joyce McKibben of Starkville, and Jimmy and Mary Jane Keller of Starkville; and his great-grandparents, D.H. and Juanita Keller of Amory.

Joanne Westbrook
WEST POINT – Joanne Conerly Westbrook, 84, passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center, in Tupelo. She was born March 4, 1929, in Monroe County to Ethel Adelaide Bush and Preston Johnston Conerly. She worked at the Clay County Health Department, then later with her husband at Westbrook Grocery Store. She was secretary at First United Methodist Church and at Clay County Chamber of Commerce. During all those years, she assisted her husband in soybean and cattle farming. She was a graduate of Draughn Business College and a graduate of M.U.W. with a double major in business and psychology. She received her master’s degree from College of Psychology at Liberty University with an emphasis in Christian Family Counseling.
She was past Regent of the Horseshoe Robertson Chapter of the D.A.R. She was Queen Mother of the local chapter of the Red Hat Society. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school. She was a member of Lochie Millard Circle and had just last hosted the circle with a breakfast last December. She was a member of the Chancel Choir and later the Singspirations Senior Choir. She loved all three of her grandchildren. She enjoying sewing, collecting music boxes, playing tennis, traveling, target shooting, canoeing, camping and cooking for her family. She had traveled abroad to Paris and enjoyed several cruise ship tours. One of the highlights of her travels was making a Western Tour by Rail and visiting along the way with her brother in Utah. She married James Eugene Westbrook on Nov. 7, 1948, in Okolona. He preceded her in death on Jan. 25, 2003.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel in West Point with the Rev. Jeff Shannon officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in West Point. Calvert Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include one daughter, Shelley Morgan (Keith) of Aberdeen; three grandchildren, Dixie Morgan, Buck Morgan and Jon Haney (Brandy); one great-granddaughter, Lillie Kate Haney; one sister, Ruby Ballard of Pickensville, Ala.; and one brother, Jimmy Conerly (Joyce) of Myrtle Beach, N.C.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Chris Haney, three brothers, Preston Conerly, Walter Conerly and Willie Conerly; and two sisters, Emma Roebuck, and Mamie Jackson.
Pallbearers will be Harper Maffet, Ralph Weems, Richard Ballard, Mahlon Geer, Bud Tumlinson, Billy Buck Staggers, Chad Moody and Kenny Dill.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Wesley Wasson Sunday School Class; her church family at First United Methodist Church; and all her friends in the D.A.R. statewide.

Billy Botts
PALMETTO – Billy Wayne Botts, 76, died Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was born Aug. 11, 1936, in Union County to William Hollis and Maudie Lee Carter Botts. He was raised in the Jugfork community and was a 1956 graduate of Cedar Hill High School. A veteran, he served in the Air Force from 1956 to 1960. For more than 44 years he resided in the Palmetto community. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid NASCAR fan. One of the joys in his life was spending time with his grandchildren. He retired after 40 1/2 years from Western Electric/AT&T/Lucent Technologies. He was an active member of Palmetto Baptist Church, where he served as deacon. He was always involved in various maintenance projects and church repairs.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Dr. Robert Armstrong and Dr. Adrian Horne officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.
Survivors include his wife of almost 50 years, Lillian Hortense Sullivan Botts of the Palmetto community; one daughter, Sandy Owen (Tony) of the Palmetto community; one son, Steve Botts (Carol) of the Palmetto community; three grandchildren, Steven Oven, Carly and Jon Botts; two sisters, Bonnie Malone of Ellistown and Faye Wade (Joe) of Tupelo; and one brother, Charles Botts of Ecru.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, James Neal Botts; and one grandson, David Michael Owen.
Pallbearers will be Benny Waycaster, David Cochran, Dennis Garner, Excell Cowley, Billy Flurry and David Oswalt.
Honorary pallbearers will be Don Christian, Gary Singh and all the past and current employees of Western Electric/AT&T/Lucent Technologies who worked with him.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
