CORINTH – Dorothy Pauline Box, 87, died Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Magnolia Regional Health Center.
Services are at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories. Interment is at Forrest Memorial Park in Corinth.

Henry Miller
RIPLEY – Henry C. Miller, 75, died Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Golden Living Center in Ripley. He was born April 15, 1937, to Irvin and Mae Belle Taylor Miller. He was a member of Deentown Baptist Church. He was a heavy equipment operator for the railroad.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Ripley Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Terry Hall and Bro. Sammy Barnett officiating. Burial will be in Blue Mountain Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Grace Miller of Falkner; one daughter, Sherry Orsi (Joe) of Crown Point, Ind.; three brothers, Sam Miller (Emmalene) of Ripley, Irvin Miller Jr. (Paulette) of Blue Mountain and David Miller (Johna) of Ripley; one grandchild, Heather Orsi of Indiana; four step-children, James King (Lynn) of Ripley, Amy Cissom (Joe) of Dry Creek, Lee Barnett (Sammy) of Iuka and Jamie Myers (Pat) of Ripley; and five step-grandchildren; Matt and Jacob King, Kelsey and Kaitlyn Myers and Sam Barnett.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Mildred M. Guide; and brother-in-law, Joe Guide.
Pallbearers will be Holland McDowell, Eddie McDowell, Charles Kitchens, James King, Joe Cissom and Pat Myers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Men of Deentown Baptist Church.

Matt Kyle
NEW ALBANY – Matthew David Kyle, 28, died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, at MD Anderson in Houston, Texas. He was born Oct. 18, 1984, in Honolulu, Hawaii. He earned a B.S. degree in risk management at Mississippi State University. He loved Mississippi State sports, especially Bulldog football. He was an insurance salesman for Woodman of the World. He was a member of the Bethlehem United Methodist Church.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the United Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Lawrence and the Rev. Nathan Hodum officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
He is survived by his parents, Terry and Angie Whiteside of New Albany; sister, Cheri Leutz (Jack) of Dallas, Texas; his maternal grandmother, Bobbie Goolsby of Blue Mountain; and two special uncles, Darrell Goolsby and Allan Goolsby.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Benny Goolsby; his paternal grandparents, James and Fay Whiteside; and his uncle, Allen Whiteside.
Pallbearers will be Luke Koon, C.J. Hill, Kyle Floyd, Dustin Bagwell, Will Cornelius, Jimmy Goolsby and Will Evans.
Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Lottie Sprous
NEW ALBANY – Lottie Ruth Benefield Sprous, 71, died Friday, March 1, 2013, at Darlington Oaks in Verona. She was born Dec. 18, 1941, in New Albany to David Andrew and Wilma Jeter Benefield. She was a veteran of the U.S. Army. She was a retired furniture factory worker and a member of Fredonia Baptist Church.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at United Funeral Service in New Albany with the Rev. Chris Madison officiating. Burial will be in Vista Memorial Park in New Albany. United Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.
She is survived by one daughter, Mona Sprous of New Albany; one stepson, David Sprous of Desoto, Mo.; one sister, Jamie Robbins of New Albany; one brother, Sim Benefield of New Albany; two stepgrandchildren, Jennifer Penaloza and Cory Sprous; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ray Sprous; and her son, Ray Sprous Jr.
In honor of Lottie Sprous’s service to her country, United Funeral Service will fly the U.S. Army flag during her visitation and service.

Frances Moore
BYHAILA – Frances Newsom Moore died Sunday, March 3, 2013, at her home in Byhalia. She was the widow of Dudley R. Moore Jr., and was born Feb. 6, 1926, in Holly Springs.
She enjoyed her service to her church, the Byhalia United Methodist Church, where she served as chairman of the Parsonage Committee and prepared and served many meals to the Byhalia Lions Club as part of the ministry of the Byhalia Methodist Women. She was past-Treasurer of Byhalia Methodist Women and the past-President of the Byhalia Garden Club. She worked hard toward the beautification of the Town of Byhalia and the Town Cemetery and in 2009, was named Board Member of the Year by the Byhalia Area Chamber of Commerce. She served on state committees for both the Garden Clubs of Mississippi and the Mississippi Bankers Convention. Along with her husband, Dudley, she was an exhibitor and member of the Tennessee Walking Horse Association and was one of the organizers of the White Oak Classic Walking Horse Show. She was a descendant of Whitmel Sephas Randolph, one of the founders of Holly Springs, and belonged to the Major Matthew McConnell Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Byhalia United Methodist Church. Holly Springs Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
She is survived by her daughters, Lyla Moore McAlexander (Doug) of Collierville, Tenn., Susan Moore Bonds (Bobby) of Byhalia and Ellen Moore Gammon of Memphis, Tenn.; son, D. Rook Moore III (Marie) of Holly Springs; her grandchildren, Georgia Vinzant, Maggie Vinzant, Stephanie Vinzant, Amery Ewing Moore (Clay), Battle Ewing, Robert Bonds, Myra Gammon, Marie Moore Holder (Ryan), Susanna Moore Moldoveanu (Tudor), Alexandra Holder, Katherine Holder and Sayde Bell Moore; three sisters, Agnes Johnson of Jackson, Dolly White of Holly Springs and Marjorie Haffner of Tampa, Fla.; and one brother, Bobby Newsom of Panama City Beach, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her husband; grandson, Dudley Rook Moore IV; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.W. Newsom; and her brother, W.W. Newsom Jr.
Visitation is 10 a.m. until service time Tuesday.
It is the family’s request that any memorials be sent to Byhalia Methodist Church, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or a charity of the donor’s choice.

David Britt
TOCCOPOLA – David Gene Britt, 69, died Saturday, March 2, 2013, at his residence. He was born Feb. 28, 1944, to John and Mary Britt. He was a loving husband and father. He was a carpenter for many years. He loved being outdoors with family and friends, had a big heart and loved helping everyone.
Services are at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Grammer officiating.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Britt; three sons, Dino Britt (Carrie) of Toccopola, Dwayne Morris (Cynthia) of Randolph and Allen Britt (Jessica J.) of Thaxton; daughter, Jessica Moody (Ben) of Toccopola; brothers, Marvin Britt (Ruth) of Pontotoc and James Britt (Hilda) of Byhalia; 10 grandchildren, Justin, Hadin, Amber, Parker, Madison, Summer, Christopher, Cameron, Benjamin and Autumn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Britt; sister, Mary Ruth Britt (Tallent); daughters, Misty Britt and Tracy Britt; and son, Rodney Britt.
Visitation is 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Peggy Ganger
HICKORY FLAT – Peggy Sue Cook Ganger, 65, died Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. She was born March 22, 1947, in Memphis, Tenn., to Ira Burl Kelley and Louise Christine Shelton Kelley. She was a homemaker, and a member of Faith Assembly of God.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Faith Assembly of God in Myrtle with the Rev. Thomas M. Wiginton officiating. Burial will be in the McKay Cemetery. United Funeral Service in New Albany is in charge of the arrangements.
She is survived by her husband, Bob Ganger of Hickory Flat; two daughters, Sheri Ann Mills of Thaxton and Sherill Lynn Feathers of Hickory Flat; sister, Deloris Ann Hanson of Owosso, Mich.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister Bonnie June Grasby.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Smith, Josh Smith, Jeff Ganger, Jim May, Kyle May and Barry Forsythe.
Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. The body will lie in state 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.

LOUISVILLE – James Willie Sutherland, 76, formerly of Vardaman, died Friday, March 1, 2013, at Winston Medical Center in Louisville. He was born May 3, 1936, in Vardaman. He was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church.
Services are at 2 p.m. Tuesday at New Liberty Baptist Church in Vardaman with the Rev. Paul Childress and the Rev. Jeff Harmon officiating. Interment is at New Liberty Cemetery. Pryor Funeral Home in Calhoun City is in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his mother, Modene Sutherland of Vardaman; brothers, Raymond (Peggy) Sutherland of Vardaman and Earnest (Lynn) Sutherland of Memphis, Tenn.; and sister, Sandra (Tom) Brock of Hattiesburg.
He was preceded in death by his father, James A. Sutherland.
Pallbearers are Brett Sutherland, Bart Sutherland, Rusty Brock, Josh Sutherland, Tony Morgan and Derrick Court. Honorary pallbearers are Tim Boyd, Joey Boyd, Kevin Sutherland, Chris Wark, Bryan Allen Long and Bub Long.

Wanda Watson
VINA, Ala. – Wanda Jean Watson, 63, died Saturday, March 2, 2013, at ECM Hospital. She was born in Hodges, Ala., and was a former employee of Tolgate. She was a member of Hodges Convention Baptist Church.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Red Bay, Ala., with Bro. W.D. Humphreys and Jason Haithcock officiating. Burial will be in Hodges Cemetery.
Survivors are four children, Tim Cantrell, Shaunna Upton and Kevin Wade Watson (Ashley), all of Vina and Amy Cantrell Fralix (Shannon) of Red Bay; seven grandchildren, Channing Haithcock, Hannah Kent, Chloe Watson, Annabelle Upton, Shannon Upton, Holden Inmon and Kyler Watson; two sisters, Joann Williams (Wayne) of Hamilton, Ala., and Judy Haithcock of Vina; and one brother-Johnny Ray Cantrell of Vina.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Aaron Felix “Daze” Cantrell and Shelly Bell Williams Cantrell; two brothers, Jack Cantrell and Jimmy Cantrell; and one sister, Jewel Cole.
Pallbearers will be Chris Cantrell, Dewayne Emerson, Steven Watson, Channing Haithcock, Jeff Williams, Jason Haithcock and Bradley Emerson.

Johnny Witt
BLUE MOUNTAIN – Johnny Lee Witt, 65, died Sunday, March 3, 2013, at his residence. He was born Aug. 16, 1947, to Lee Elmo and Glena Faye White Witt in Tippah County. He was a former truck driver and construction worker. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.
Services are at 2 p.m. Tuesday at McBride Funeral Home Chapel in Ripley, with Bro. Bill Baker officiating. Interment is at Fellowship Cemetery.
He is survived by daughter, Connie Witt Rainey of Ripley; grandchildren, Angel Rainey Vanstory (T.J.) of Ripley and Jacob Rainey of Ripley; great-grandchildren, Holden, Cadence and Mason Vanstory; sister, Vickie Witt Cheek (Charlie) of Blue Mountain; brothers, Arnold Witt (Brenda), Danny Witt (Ann), Carl Witt (Rita), all of Ripley and Stanley Witt (Becky) of Blue Mountain.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and daughters, Cindy Kay Witt and Sherry Faye Witt.
Pallbearers are Michael Witt, Eddie Witt, Jason Rodger, C.T. Witt, Joe Reaves and Larry Wilder. Honorary pallbearers are Charles Cheek Jr., Landon Witt, Garrett Crisham and Becca Cantrell.
