LAKELAND, Tenn. – Barbara Ann Dillard, 72, died Saturday, May 18, 2013.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Red Bay, Ala. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery.
Visitation is 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
WEST POINT – Charles E. Bennett, 70, passed away Friday, May 17, 2013, at Baptist Memorial Medical Center-GT, in Columbus. He was born July 31, 1942, in Chickasaw County to Willie Frances Nichols and Melvin Floyd Bennett Sr. He was a fitter welder for Ellis Steel for 18 years. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Aberdeen and a Veteran of Mississippi National Guard, retiring in June 1991. He married Robbie Sutherland Bennett on Nov. 29, 1985, in Chickasaw County in Houston.
Services were at 2 p.m. Sunday, May, 19, 2013, at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Bro. Danny Washington and assisted by Bro. John Ray Hamilton. Burial followed in Memorial Garden Cemetery West Point.
Survivors include wife, Robbie Bennett of West Point; four daughters, Robbie Lynn Tutor (Stanley) of Houlka, Angela Hester (Danny) of Pontotoc, Stacey Armstrong (Ray) and Pamela Briscoe (Jeff) all of Grenada; two sons, Matthew Bennett (Janice) of Pontotoc and Jason Brown (Stephanie) of Saltillo; 23 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; his mother, Willie Frances Nichols Booker (U.G. Jr.) of West Point; and one sister, Ruth Bennett Reedy of Grenada.
Preceding him in death were his grandson, Timothy Coats; his parents; and brother, Melvin Floyd Bennett Jr.
Pallbearers were James Reedy, Barry Reedy, Eric Fretwell, Joey Fretwell, Kenneth Fretwell, and William Hamilton. Honorary Pallbearers were Bobby Fretwell, Tommy Williams, Earl Gilreath, Kenneth Mobley, Ralph Coggins and Alvin Griffin.

OXFORD – Esther Baker Mize, 85, died Saturday, May 18, 2013, at her home. She was a member of North Oxford Baptist Church. She loved her family, grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at North Oxford Baptist Church with Dr. Gary Richardson, the Rev. Warren Black and the Rev. David Bodenheimer officiating. Burial will follow in Oxford Memorial Cemetery.
Survivors include her six daughters, Vickie Cook (Mike Wright) of Oxford, Beverly Butts of Oxford, Amy Blair (Jim) of Brandon, Sandra Holmes (James) of Tupelo, Laura Kinney (Kin) of Oxford and Lynn McElreath (Mark) of Oxford; her sister, Fay Smith of Batesville; her brother J.P. Baker of Oxford; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson Dulon Mize; her sister, Beatrice Faust; her brother, Victor Baker; and her great-granddaughter, Isabella Butts.
Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. today at Waller Funeral Home and 10:30 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the church.

CALHOUN CITY – Anna Faye Mitchell Spratlin, 65, died Saturday, May 18, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was born Aug. 8, 1947, in Calhoun Co., to John Mitchell and Lyla Fugett Mitchell. She was the City Clerk of Calhoun City and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, the Rev. Danny Spratlin of Calhoun City; mother, Lyla Mitchell of Bruce; one sister, Linda Gail Tutor of Bruce; two nieces, Dana Bryant and Tammy Tallent, both of Bruce; and one nephew, Sam Tutor Sr. of Bruce.
She was preceded in death by her father, John E. Mitchell.
Services are at 2 p.m. today at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Calhoun City with the Rev. Wayne Gullett and the Rev. Curtis Ferrell officiating. Burial is at Pinecrest Cemetery in Calhoun City. Pryor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

AMORY – Justin Andrew Shields, 20, died Friday, May 17, 1913, in Amory. Born June 22, 1992, he was the son of Christie Roberson Shields and Columbus Woods Shields. He attended Amory schools and he was Baptist. He enjoyed reading, watching television, being outdoors, gardening and spending time with his friends and family.
A Celebration of Life Service will be at 11 a.m. today at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home Chapel in Amory, with Dr. Lloyd Sweatt and Bro. Danny Carl Burks officiating. Burial will be in the Greenbrier Cemetery.

WEST POINT – Mary Emma Kent, 84, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center in West Point. She was born Aug. 9, 1928, to Dewey and Annie Bell Hamby, in Clay County. She was a retired seamstress of Big Yank and a member of Cedar Bluff Baptist Church.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Robinson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Todd Chesser officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Bluff Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Charles D. Kent of West Point; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her two brothers, Dewey Lee Hamby and Frank Edward Hamby.
Pallbearers are Joe Ed Waldrop, Billy Smith, Athen Hamby, Frankie Hamby, Jesse Hamby and Preston Hamby. Honorary pallbearers are the staffs of Dugan Memorial Home and NMMC in West Point.

PONTOTOC – Danny Lee Hutcheson, 42, died Friday, May 17, 2013. He was a good person who loved his family, especially his mother, and would do everything he could for anyone. He was full of life and loved animals.
Services are at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Tutor Memorial with James Anderson and Larry Harrison officiating. Burial is at Endville Cemetery.
He is survived by his mother, Pauline Hutcheson of Pontotoc; son, Eddie James “E.J.” Hutcheson of Hollister, Fla.; sisters, Kim Saucer (Rick) of Pontotoc and Claudia Rose Hutcheson of Truman, Ark.; brothers, Richard Presley (Amy) of Corinth and Tony Presley (Jessica) of Hickory Flat; special friends, Guy Merritt of Ponototc and Lace of Brunswick, Ga.; grandmother, Rose Hutcheson of Tupelo; and grandfather, William Bill Hutcheson of Truman, Ark.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eddie Lee Hutcheson; a baby son; and grandparents, Mamie Harris and H.J. Harris.

TUPELO – Mary Alice Chism Lyles, 72, died Saturday, May 18, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born Sept. 7, 1940, to Jim and Roxie Anna Hood Chism. She was a lifelong resident of the Auburn community and retired from Reeds Manufacturing after many years of service. She enjoyed cooking, playing dominoes and especially spending time with her family. She was a member of Kinglsey Chapel Baptist Church.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Bro. Jack Washington and Bro. John Gale officiating. Burial will be in Mantanchie Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Roy Kenneth Lyles; three daughters, Gale Presnell (Dennis), Brenda Sheffield (Gerald) and Amanda Dickerson (Mike), all of Auburn; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Jimmie Lou Hester (Clinton) of Pontocola, Patsy Washington (Wayne) and Peggy Hayes, both of Tupelo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Bert, James, Bill and Noonon Chism; and one sister, Bell Humphries.
Pallbearers will be Mike Dickerson, Dennis Presnell, Kenneth Williams, Brandon Sheffield, Ken Johnson and David Michael Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Gerald Sheffield, Blake Smith and Wayne Washington.
