RED BAY, Ala. – Jimmy Strawbridge died Sunday, May 22, 2011, at his home. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Deaton Funeral Home of Red Bay.

WREN – Irvin twin infant girls, died May 20, 2011, at Gilmore Memorial Regional Medical Center in Amory.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Wren Cemetery with Bro. Dennis Smithey officiating. E.E. Pickle Funeral Home of Amory is in charge of arrangements.
They are survived by their parents, Kirk Garner of Booneville and Halie Breanna Irvin of Wren; grandparents, Dennis Ray Irvin of Columbus, Heather L. Callahan White of Wren, Danny Garner of Booneville and Cynthia Garner of Tupelo; great-grandparents, Anna Teresa Justice of Wren and Betty Love of Baldwyn; and uncle, Charles J. Irvin (Jennifer) of Jackson.
They were preceded in death by their great-great-grandparents, Curtis and Mary Kate Chism.

PONTOTOC – Samuel Lee “Sammy” Green, 61, died Thursday, May 19, 2011, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was a native of Pontotoc County, the son of Isaiah and Christine Terrell Green. He was a member of Piney Grove M.B. Church and a disabled feed mill worker. He loved working in his yard, gardening, fishing and being around people. He was known to his family as “Uncle Pretty Boy.”
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Piney Grove M.B. Church. with Rev. Samuel Agnew delivering the eulogy. Burial will be in Piney Grove Cemetery. Kenneth I. Roberson Funeral Home of Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangrments.
He is survived by his wife, Alice Faye Green of Pontotoc; one daughter, Tanista Roberson of Pontotoc; three sisters, Lela (Cecil) Dixon, Madgalean Roberson and Willie Mae (Marvin) Barr, all of Pontotoc; and three brothers, Namon Green and Ralph Green, both of Pontotoc and Frank Green of Memphis.
Visitation will be from noon until 6 p.m., with family present from 6 to 7 p.m., today at the funeral home.
MT. OLIVE – Charles E. “Bill” Turnage, 98, died Saturday, May 21, 2011, at Covington County Hospital in Collins. Charles Estel Turnage was born Feb. 22, 1913, in Montpelier to Jenny Langford and Lynwood Turnage. He worked at Babcock & Wilcox in the steel yard for 25 years and was a member of Enon Baptist Church. Charles E. “Bill” Turnage married Geneva Cartee Turnage on July 1, 1938, in Montpelier. She preceded him in death on Aug. 10, 1991.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Enon Baptist Church with Bro. Scott Griffin officiating. Burial will be in Big Springs/Enon Cemetery. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his daughter, Doris Nell Turnage Sullivan (Donald) of Mt. Olive; two grandchildren, Toni Lynne Morino/Revira (Richardo) and Donald Edward Sullivan Jr.; two great-grandchildren, Michael Sullivan and Anton Murrell; one great-great-granddaughter, Jordyn Renee Murrell; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Paul McGarity, James “Bud” Cartee, Terry Benson, Leonard Hall, Donald Sullivan and Edward Sullivan.
Honorary pallbearers will be Leon Hollingsworth, Wayne “Peewee” Wray, Donald Permenter, Jimmy Benson, former co-workers at Babcock & Wilcox Company and his Enon Baptist Church family.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the church.

TUPELO – Virgie Dalyne Wilkinson, formerly of West Point, 78, died Saturday May 21, 2011, at Traceway Retirement Community in Tupelo. She was born Sept. 30, 1932, in Yazoo City to Lillian Perry and Louis Calvin Wilkinson.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Glenwood Cemetery in Yazoo City. Robinson Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by two nieces, Sherwin Cade of Belden and Cowatha Dill of Philadelphia; one nephew, Louis Hollis of Conyers, Ga.; and a host of great-nieces and great-nephews.
Pallbearers will be Rex Hollis, Chris Hollis, Arney Cade, Michael Dill, Tyler Dill and James Dill.
Honorary pallbearers will be Louis Hollis, Bill Cade, Jayson Hollis, Cayleb Hollis, K.C. Johnson, Dally Moon and Gabe Moon.
TUPELO – Charles J. Dillard, 80, formerly of New Albany, died May 22, 2011, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
He was born Feb. 10, 1931, in Union County to Jim Dillard and Maudie Huffstatler Dillard. He loved to fish and hunt. He was married to Jo Ann Dunlap Dillard; they had four sons. He later married Judy Carr Dillard; they had a daughter.
Services will be private. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery in New Albany. Serenity Funeral Home of New Albany is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include five children, Vanessa (Antonio) Gusman of Baldwyn, Charles (Janice) Dillard, Ricky Dillard, Tim (Charlotte) Dillard and Kenny Dillard, all of New Albany; a sister, Victoria Rakestraw of Liberty; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
VINA, Ala. – Michael Keith Davis, 55, died May 21, 2011, at North Mississippi Medical Center. He was a self-employed contractor for 34 years and attended Grace Community Church.

Survivors include one son, Dustin Davis of Belmont; one grandson, Ethan Davis of Belmont; two sisters, Brenda Hensley of Golden and Gail Strickland (Athel) of Tremont; two brothers, Dale Davis (Tammy) of West Point and Jeff Davis (Lyndi) of Belmont; two stepsons, Keith Henley of Tupelo and Jeff Henley of Belmont.
He was preceded in death by one son, Mitchell Bryant Davis; his parents, Doyle and Justine Scott Davis; and two nephews.
