Lynn Martin
TUPELO – Lynn Martin, 55, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, May 5, 2012 at her home.
Services will be Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at 11 a.m. at The First United Methodist Chapel in Tupelo with Rev. Jim Curtis officiating. W.E. Pegues Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her husband, Eddie Martin; her mother, Mary Ann Land of Sapulpa, Okla.; three daughters, Sheree Lynn Whitt of Blue Springs, Kada Utley Stephenson (Chris) of Holly Springs and Brittany Starr Utley of Tupelo; three granddaughters, Kellis Whitt, Parker Stephenson and Peyton Stephenson; grandson, Ethan Riley Whitt; three sisters, Debbie, Rhetta and Keiva; one brother, Jerry; her special cousin, Cayra; special aunt and uncle, Ruth and Leonard Callicutt; and a host of relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mildred Mooney.

HOULKA – Lora Denise Galvan, 46, died Saturday, May 5, 2012. She was born March 23, 1966, in Chickasaw County to Charles Gaskin and Jimmie Lorene Doss Gaskin. She attended Fellowship Baptist Church in Enon.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Houston with Bro. Lynn Hughes officiating. Burial will be at Wake Forrest Cemetery near Mantee.
She is survived by her husband, Gregg Galvan of Houlka; one stepson, David Adam Galvan of Houlka; her father, Charles Gaskin of Woodland; four sisters, Myer Fisher Cook, Joann Brock (Bobby Lynn), Angelica Smith (Rob), all of Houston and Manuela Melton of Hernando; four brothers, Tommy Swindle (Pearl), David Fisher both of Houston, Charles Gaskin of Pontotoc and Jimmy Dale Gaskin of Brandon; Host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; and her Galvan family in Mexico.
She is preceded death by her mother, Jimmie Lorene Doss Gaskin; and her stepfather Coleman Cook.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Heair, Chris Morris, T.J. Swindle, John Heair, David Fisher, Jr. and Gerald Houlk.

Nettie Edwards
BRUCE – Nettie Mae Edwards, 92, died Sunday, May 6, 2012, at Calhoun Health Services Nursing Home in Calhoun City. She was born Aug. 1, 1919, in Calhoun County. She was a homemaker and a member of The Church of God of Prophecy.
Services are at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Bruce with Bro. Sherman Adams officiating. Internment is at Bruce Cemetery.
She is survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Edwards; sister, Naomi Free; four brothers, Leo, Ira, Curt and Clifford Parker.
Pallbearers are Joe LAron, Archie McCormick, Glenn Parker, John R. Parker, Ronald Dean Parker and Billy Jack Stewart III.

Jimmy Zinn
CARROLLTON, Texas – Jimmy Lavon Zinn, 60, died Thursday, May 3, 2012, at his residence. He was born Dec. 3, 1951, in Bruce, to Jack Lavon and Erma Faye Reasons Zinn. He served in the Mississippi National Guard for four years, was a graduate of Clarksdale High School in 1969 and attended both Northwest Mississippi Community College and The University of Mississippi. He was Baptist and an employee of Buzi Paper Distributing Co.
Service are at 4 p.m. Monday at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Darrell Logan officiating. Internment is at Memory Memorial Garden.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Turner Zinn of Bruce; son, Robert Banz of Englewood, Calif.; daughter, Maggie Dunegan (Dustin) of Garland, Texas; and grandson, Zachary Dunegan.
He was preceded in death by parents, Jack Lavon and Erma Faye Reasons Zinn.
Pallbearers are Jeff Cook, Scott Cook, Dustin Dunegan, Bobby McKnight, Jerry Turner and Stevie Turner. Honorary pallbearers are Sammy Blaylock, Jimy Carroll, Jim Goudelock and Bobby Wells.

BRUCE – Annie Lee Brown, 85, died Sunday, May 6, 2012, at Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville. She was born July 10, 1926, in Calhoun County to Eli and Inez Spencer. She was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and a seamstress at Glenn Slacks Garment Co.
Services are at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Parker MEmorial Funeral home Chapel with Bro. Joey Hamilton and Bro. Kevin Chrestman officiating. Internment is at Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
She is survived by son, Rodney Brown (Delma) of Greenville; daughter, Kay Moorhead (Harold) of Greenwood; sister, Sarah Nell Watkins of Knoxapater; brother, Charles Julian Lafayette of Calhoun City; grandchildren, Patrick Brown and Christy Williams; and great-grandchildren, Haley Williams, Parker Scott Brown, Rance Walker Brown, Wes Williams, Cal Williams and Skylar Williams.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Theo Brown; sister, Monette Parks; and brothers, Winton, Dennis, and Tommy Lafayette.
Pallbearers are Eddie Brown, Michael Lee Brown, Charles Chrestman, Thomas Earl Goodson, Billy Fred Murphree, Dean Poynor and Michael Williams.
