CALHOUN CITY – Dearl Glenn Cook, 66, died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, at his home. He was born Sept. 18, 1946, in Garden Valley, Texas. He was a commercial roofer and a member of Jesus Is Lord Church in Vardaman. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Bruce. Bro. Ronnie Scott, Bro. Arnold Amos and Bro. Johnny Davidson will officiate. Burial will be in New Gauley Cemetery at Big Creek.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Wimberly Cook of Calhoun City; three daughters, Kim (Kenneth) White, Cindy (Ronnie) Scott and Mindy (Sammy)Anderson, all of Calhoun City; one son, Michael David (Denise) Bullard of Forney, Tenn.; one sister, Della Katherine Bleeker of Maybank, Texas; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Odis Cook and Mary Driver Cook; a daughter, Vicki Barkley; a sister, Martha Cook; and a brother, Larry Cook.
Pallbearers will be Khristopher Alejandro, Markis James Anderson, Sammy Anderson, John Davis Bullard, Eddie Goodson and Dearl James Scott.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

CALHOUN CITY – Debra J. Monroe, 53, died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, at her home.

RIPLEY – Hunter Chase Sanford, 3 days old, died Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, at LeBonheur Children’s Medical Center in Memphis. He was born Nov. 9, 2012, to James Robert and Stephanie Michelle Warner Sanford.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Ripley Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Randy Hurt officiating. Burial will be in Lowry United Methodist Cemetery.
He is survived by his parents; one sister, Allie Williams of Ripley; one brother, Braxton Sanford of Ripley; his grandparents, Randy and Lisa Sanford of Ripley, and Clarence and Debbie Warner of Corinth; and his great-grandparents, Elizabeth Davis of Michie, Tenn., David and Cathy Medlin of Walnut, Mary Sauders of Ripley, and William and Brenda Sanford of Bath Springs, Tenn.
He was preceded in death by one brother, James Brayden Sanford.
Pallbearers will be Randy Lee Sanford, Johnathan Warner, Zachary Pannell, Cory DeWhitt, Chris Sides, Richie Sanford, Scott Wilson and Cody Vick. Honorary pallbearers will be Mitchell Fire Department and Randy Brock.

Mildred Bradley
ECRU – Mildred Swindle Bradley, 82, died Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was born Nov. 30, 1929, in Winston County to Thomas Edward Swindle and Mary Jane Roberson Swindle. She was a homemaker and a member of Apostolic Revival Center in New Albany. She was a wife, a mother and a grandmother to many.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Apostolic Revival Center with the Rev. Merle Dixon, the Rev. Steve Denton and the Rev. Carly Lawson officiating. Burial will be in Vista Memorial Park. United Funeral Service in New Albany is in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Roland “Pete” Bradley of Ecru; one daughter, Rose Houk (Bill) of Ecru; five sons, Afton Bradley (Sue) of Colorado Springs, Colo., Tommy Bradley (Janet) of Booneville, Wayne Bradley (Anne) of Gurly, Ala., David Bradley (Suzie) of Ecru and Mark Bradley (Becky) of Ecru; four sisters, Doris Lenard of Bruce, Ann Jones of Southaven, Irene Howe (Aubry) of Batesville and Myrene Bently (Gene) of Indianapolis, Ind.; a sister-in-law, Quebell Swindle of Batesville; one brother, Clinton Swindle (Margie) of Woodland; 21 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Janie McGregory Robinson; a brother, Edward Swindle; and a grandson, Samuel McGregory.
Pallbearers will be SPC James Bradley, Tony Bradley, Michael Bradley, Shannon McGregory, Steven McGregory, SGT Derek Bradley, Christopher Bradley, SSG Cody Bradley and Labanon Bradley. Honorary pallbearers will be Timothy W. Bradley, Jeremy Bailey, Dalton Calfee, Zack Houk and Daniel Jackson.

BOONEVILLE – Sharon Marie Johnson, 46, died Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville. She was born May 31, 1966, to Charles H. and Anita Allen Johnson. She was a member of Jacinto Church of Christ and a seamstress.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at McMillan Funeral Home with Minister Ed Floyd officiating. Burial will be in Jacinto Church of Christ Cemetery.
She is survived by two daughters, Britny Johnson and Lindsey Marie Hughes, both of Booneville; her mother, Anita Allen Johnson of Booneville; two sisters, Renee (John) Warnicke of Booneville and Michelle (David) Humphrey of Rienzi; one brother, Keith Johnson of Booneville; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father and one brother, Phillip Gene Johnson.
Pallbearers will be Jarret Johnson, Joshua Warnicke, Andrew Johnson, Jonathan Warnicke, David Humphrey and John Warnicke. Colee Saylors will be an honorary pallbearer.
Visitation will continue until service time today at the funeral home.

STARKVILLE – Malcolm Edward Henderson, 83, passed away Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, at OCH Regional Medical Center in Starkville.

WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. – Darrell Livingston, 51, died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by McMillan Funeral Home of Booneville.
Howard Thompson Jr.
TUPELO – Howard L. Thompson Jr., 89, died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, at his residence. He was born on Jan. 24, 1923. He honorably served his country with the U.S. Army in World War II on the European Campaign at Normandy as well as other vital battlefronts. Following his military service he worked 44 years as the service manager at George Ruff Buick Oldsmobile and 22 years with Tommy Turner and Barry Tucker Construction of Tupelo. He also volunteered with the Soil Conservation Service, building blue bird houses with local youth. He loved working in his yard with his wife of 61 years, Dorothy Franks Thompson, who preceded him in death in 2008. He was a member of Eggville Free Will Baptist Church.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Eggville Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Gerald Gann officiating. Burial will follow in Lee Memorial Park. Holland Funeral Directors, Tupelo Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 1 p.m. until service time Thursday at the church.
He is survived by his son, Eddie Thompson of Tupelo.
Family members who preceded him in death were his wife, Dorothy; a son, Danny Howard Thompson; his parents, Howard L. Thompson Sr. and Gattie Thompson Tubb; and a brother, G.W. Thompson.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Butler, David Thompson, Ralph Thompson, Anthony Thompson, John Webb and Chris Whitehead. Honorary pallbearers Tracy Byrd, Robert Patterson and Ruble Greene.
