Cordia Taylor
TUPELO – Cordia Conley Taylor died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012. She was born on Nov. 18, 1935, to Rebecca and Elisa Conley. She loved sewing, sitting on the porch and gardening. She was united in marriage to William Taylor on July, 14, 1956, and to that union, four children were born. She was a faithful member of the New Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church.
Service is at 1 p.m. Monday at New Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church. Interment is at Tupelo Memorial Park.
She is survived by her children, Calvin Taylor, Diana Taylor and Molinda Taylor, all of Wisconsin; her siblings, Flora Robertson of Colorado, Ralph Conley and Robert (Lillie) Conley, both of Wisconsin, Willie Conley of Tennessee, James (Ann) of Mississippi, Mammie Bell and Ora Conley of Wisconsin and Patsy (Willie) Stewart of Tennessee; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation is 2 to 6 p.m. today at N.L. Jones Funeral Home. The body will lie in repose at noon on Monday at the church.

William Davis
RED BAY, Ala. – William Davis, 86, died Sturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at Sanctuary Hospice House of Tupelo. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Deaton Funeral Home of RedBay, Ala.
Visitation is 6 to 9 p.m. today at Deaton Funeral in Red Bay, Ala.
Mary Lyon
WEST POINT – Mary Rose Lyon, 88, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center, in West Point. She was born July 21, 1924, in Cedar Bluff, to Cora Lee Davis Lyon and George Wilbur Lyon. She was a corporate secretary for Mitchell Automotive from Sept. 10, 1946, until July 2010. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dale Funderburg officiating, assisted by the Rev. Todd Chesser. Burial will follow in Cedar Bluff Methodist Cemetery.
Survivors include one brother, James Roland Lyon (June) of Cedar Bluff; sister-in-law, Mona Manning Lyon of Clarksdale; nieces, Janet Lyon Watkins (Cliff) of West Point and Catherine Lyon Chernecky (Rick) Ocean Springs; nephew, Dr. George Davis Lyon, Jr. (Cheryl) of Starkville; three great-nephews, Jared Watkins, Max Lyon and David Lyon (Brooke); and a great-niece, Anna Lyon Killingsworth (Ryan).
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, George Davis Lyon Sr.
Pallbearers will be David Waide, Henry Applewhite, Chuck Howell, Roland Moody, Matthew Raff and Cliff Watkins. Honorary pallbearers will be Mitchell Automotive Employees, Members of the West Point-Pilot Club, Staff of Dugan Memorial Home, Staff of North Mississippi Medical Center in West Point, Dr. Edmund A. Miller Jr., Members of Progressive Sunday school class at First Baptist, Bonnie Thompson, Gina Brewer and all her friends.
Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. today at Calvert Funeral Home.

EUPORA – Earlean Shaffer Bowen died Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Eupora.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Sapa Baptist Church with burial in the Church Cemetery. The body will lie in state in the church at 10 a.m. until service time. Oliver Funeral Home of Eupora is in charge of all arrangements.

Nita Gilstrap
HOLLY SPRINGS – Nita S. Gilstrap, 79, died Friday, Sept. 16, 2012, at Germantown Methodist in Germantown, Tenn.
Service is at 1 p.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church. Interment is on Tuesday at Camp Methodist Cemetery in Camp, Ark. Holly Springs Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation is noon until service time Monday at the church.
Hazel Williams
BELMONT – Hazel Williams, 93, died Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at Southern Magnolia in Golden. She was born in Tishomingo County, to Charlie Wilson and Aora Epps Armstrong. She was a member of Second Street Church of Christ and owned a flower shop for many years.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Belmont with John Williams, Kevin Williams and James Gibson officiating. Burial will be in Joel Cemetery.
Survivors are her husband of 77 years, Robert Williams of Belmont; two sons, Wallace Williams (Glenda) and John Williams (Betty), all of Dennis; six grandchildren, Keith Williams, Bret Williams, Cindy Bullock, Alan Williams, Jennifer Guyton and Kevin Williams; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a son, James Williams; one brother, Bill Armstrong; and her parents.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Holcomb, Joey Moore, Ronnie Bullock, Jamie Guyton, Jerry Dees and J.P. Wilemon Jr.
Visitation is until service time today at the funeral home.

GUNTOWN – Sargeant Ryan C. Meeks, 31, died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Waters Funeral Home.

Donna Hicks
CORINTH – Donna Marthalee Hicks, 73, died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at her residence.
Service is at 2 p.m. Monday at Corinthian Funeral Home Chapel. Interment is at Farmington Baptist Cemetery.
Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. today and noon until service time Monday.

Brandy White
NETTLETON – Brandy N. Ray White, 31, died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Nettleton.
Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Joseph Fannin Jr.
BOGALUSA, La. – Joseph Fannin Jr., 65, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at Touro Infirmary in New Orleans, La. He grew up in the Eatonville community. He graduated from North Forrest High School where he was an honor roll student and captain of the football team. He graduated from USM where he received his bachelors degree in radio-television with a double minor in journalism and health-physical education. He was former retail advertising manager for the Hattiesburg American. He was the publication manager for the Today in Mississippi, produced by the Electric Power Associates of Mississippi. He retired from WICK Publications as publisher of the Bogalusa Daily News. He served on the boards of Sullivan Vocational Technical College, Nellie Byers Training Center and Bogalusa Food Bank. He received the Mississippi Commendation Medal from Gov. William Winter while serving with the Mississippi National Guard.
Services will be held at noon Monday at Providence Baptist Church. Burial will be in Providence Cemetery. Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home of Hattiesburg is in charge of arrangements.
He was survived by his wife, Pat Burkhalter Fannin of Bogalusa, La.; one son, Joseph Fannin III of Aberdeen; one stepson, Ty Williams of Ridgeland; two daughters, Janet Lee Tubb of Tupelo and Jackie Birkbichler of Saltillo; one sister, Nelda Corley of the Eatonville community; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Myrtle Kennard Fannin Sr.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. Monday at Providence Baptist Church.
Memorials may be made to Providence Baptist Church and Bogalusa Food Bank.

Jerry Wray
PONTOTOC – Jerry Quay Wray. 62, died Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at his home. He worked in the funiture industry for many years and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Service is at 2 p.m. Monday at Buchanan Baptist Church with Bro. David Westmoreland and Bro. Jimmy Russell officiating. Interment is in Buchanan Cemetery. Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc is in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by four brothers, Randy Wray (Reva) of Pontotoc, Leighton Wray (Pam) of Pontotoc, Terry Wray (Carol) of Pontotoc and Brooks Wray of Pontotoc; three daughters, Sonya House (Lee) of Oxford, Wendy Carpenter (Dennis) of Yazoo and Michelle Wray of Clarksdale; four grandchildren, Keith House (April) of Oxford, Bridget House, Hunter House and Paul House; and two great-grandchildren, Emma House and Elly House.
He was preceded by his parents, Fred and Ethal Wray; two brothers, Gary Wray and Kenneth Davis Wray; one sister, Doris Brown; wife, Paulette Wray; and one grandchild, Ethan House.
Pallbearers are Josh Wray, Jackie Wray, James Wray, Dean Rainey, Paul House and Steven Willard.
Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. today and noon to 2 p.m. Monday, all at Buchanan Baptist Church.
Grady Geno
BOONEVILLE – Grady Hansel Geno, 83, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born Feb. 20, 1929, in Jumpertown, to William Matthew Geno and Georgia Bell White Geno. A United States Army veteran, he attained a rank of TEC 5 and was awarded the World II Victory Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal Japan. He graduated from Mississippi State University with a B.S. Degree in Life Science. He was a farmer, a loan officer with the Farmers Home Administration and a Woodmen of the World Insurance Agent. He was a member of Oakleigh Church of Christ. An avid Mississippi State fan, he was a member of the MSU Bulldog Club and the Lions Club. He enjoyed landscaping his yard and growing flowers and fruit trees.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Booneville Funeral Home Chapel, with Ministers Elmo Wilson and Dennis Kizzire officiating. Burial will be in Crossroads Cemetery.
He is survived by a son, Stephen A. St. Clair (Shirley) of Baldwyn; two daughters, Shirley D. St. Clair of Baldwyn and Jean Lambert of Booneville, a brother, Hill Geno (Jeanette) of Walnut; a sister, Hazel Hughes (Kenneth) of Columbus; and a great-granddaughter, Camille Leigh Fullerton of St. Charles, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Verda Geno, on Jan. 22, 2007; his parents; and an uncle, Rob White.
Pallbearers are Sonny Fleming, Billy Joe Fleming, Tommy Counce, Stephen A. St. Clair, Dalton Garner and Speaker Billy McCoy.
Memorials may be made to Oakleigh Church of Christ, 101 Oakleigh Drive, Booneville, MS 38829.
Visitation is 2 to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.

EUPORA – Martha W. Peacock, 98, died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at Golden Living Center in Eupora.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Spring Valley Cemetery in Mathiston.
Visitation will be 2 to 3 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
