Roy Reynolds
WAUPUN, Wis. – Roy Lee Reynolds, 48, formerly of Waterford, died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2010.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Mt. Comfort CME Church in Waterford. Burial will be in the church cemetery. J.F Brittenum & Son Funeral Home of Holly Springs is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 to 10:55 a.m. Tuesday at the church.

Inez Thrasher
FALKNER – Claris Inez James Thrasher, 77, died Nov. 20, 2010, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born to William and Zillian Hopper James in Tippah County on Aug. 19, 1933. She was a homemaker and a pillar of the community, especially for people in time of need. She was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Walnut.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today at McBride Funeral Home Chapel in Ripley with Bro. Joe Spencer and Bro. John Hamblin officiating. Burial will be in Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery in Walnut. McBride Funeral Home of Ripley is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include two daughters, Julia Moore of Falkner and Beverly Holt (Jerry) of Mooreville; five sons, Terry Thrasher of Walnut, William Thrasher (Sandra), Jimmy Thrasher (Sharon), both of Ripley, Tate Thrasher (Pam) of Thaxton and Jerry Thrasher of Falkner; three sisters, Neva L. James of Ripley, Bernice Umberger of Ashland and Ruth Mayo of Fayette, Ala.; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Thrasher; her parents; her daughter, Ruth Black; and two brothers, Clifford James and Junior James.
Pallbearers will be Pete Rutherford, Danny Shakelford, Eddie Alberson, Mike Drewery, Phil Koon and Allen McMillin.
Visitation will be from 7 a.m. until service time at the funeral home today.

Milbert Yielding
FULTON – Milbert Yielding, 86, died Nov. 21, 2010, at Darlington Oaks Hospice Care in Verona. She was born Jan. 10, 1924, in Marion County, Alabama to Grady and Bertha Cayson Yielding. She was a retired factory worker and a member of Bethany Baptist Church.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Senter Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Scott George and Bro. James Earl Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Tremont Cemetery. Senter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include one son, Bobby Yielding of Fulton; two daughters, Rae Driver (Keith) of Twin Falls, Idaho and Susie Grissom (David Owen) of Tupelo; two brothers, Jimmy and Perlis Parker of Fulton; two sisters, Movoline Garrett of Tremont and Mary Hood of Fulton; six grandchildren, Ricky Franks (Shiela), Sandy Smith (Jeff), Cindy Pettigrew (Davin), Dee Dee Hughes (Chris Wilburn), Jenny Potts and Angel Bennett (Steve Lemarie); 12 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Yielding in 2003; and her parents.
Pallbearers will be Hunter Yielding, Chris Hughes, Tony Parker, Danny Holley, Robert Humphress, Johnny Yielding and Jimmy Yielding.
Honorary pallbearers will be Harold Wilson, Roger Parker and Bradley Miller.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 8 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.

Todd Gann
AMORY – Alan Todd Gann, 44, died Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010, at his mother’s home. Born on July 8, 1966, in Amory, he was a son of Mary Frances Ritter Gann and Johnny Gann Sr. He was a graduate of Amory High School, Class of 1984, and he attended ICC. Before working as a welder for Holley Performance Products in Aberdeen, he had worked at Monroe Tufline and KI in Tupelo for sixteen years. A member of Faith Baptist Church and a former member of Bigbee Baptist Church, Todd loved the Lord. He enjoyed fishing, playing pool, watching wrestling and game shows on television and talking with friends on the telephone.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home in Amory with Bro. Tommy Whaley and Bro. Truman Carter officiating. Burial will follow in Masonic Cemetery. E.E. Pickle Funeral Home of Amory is in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his mother, Frances Gann; his father, Johnny Gann Sr.; his daughter, Crystal Paige Gann; his son, Alan Todd “T” Gann II; his brothers, Johnny Gann Jr. and Michael Harlow, all of Amory; his nieces, Courtney Mills, Ashley Raper and Breanna Gann; his nephew, Cordell Gann; and the mother of his children, Lorie Jones of Wren.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ollie J. and Louise Ritter and William B. and Ludie Gann; and his uncles, Robert E. and Herbert Ray Ritter.
Pallbearers will be Luke Bishop, Jody Johnson, Charlie Watson, Donnie Bennett, James Blaylock and Jamie Mills.
Honorary pallbearers will be Zack Raper and Donald Jones Jr.

Elzie Bowdry Jr.
BALDWYN – Elzie Bowdry Jr., 66, died Thursday, Nov. 18, 2010, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Baldwyn. He was born Jan. 14, 1944, to Elzie Bowdry Sr. and Riller Bowdry in Lee County. He was a member of Mt. Nebo C.M.E. Church in Baldwyn. He graduated from Lee-Prentiss High School in 1963.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Mt. Nebo C.M.E.Church with the Rev. Carl Z. Jones officiating. Burial will be in Full Gospel Cemetery in Baldwyn. Agnew & Sons Funeral Home of Baldwyn is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife Alma J. Bowdry of Baldwyn; one daughter, Metra (Eric) Blanks of Atlanta; three sisters, Rosie (John) Scales of Baldwyn, Marie (Litdell) Marshall and Carrie Anderson, both of Boston, Mass.; one granddaughter, Megan A. Blanks of Atlanta; one grandson, Anthony M. (Monya) Bowdry of Tupelo; a special cousin, Sue Dunn of Syracuse; his mother-in-law, Geneva Tyes of Baldwyn; two sisters-in-law, Virginia (Sylvester) Williams of Baldwyn and Mattie (Mark) Wade of Guntown; and two brothers-in-law, Bro. Charlie Ray (Liz) Tyes of Durant and Bro. Bobby (Wynell) Tyes of Guntown.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Patrick Bowdry; two brothers, Charles Bowdry and Carlton Bowdry; and one sister, Myrtle Faye Bowdry Bush.
Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. today, and family hour will be from 5 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Jo Steele
VERONA – Jo Steele, 70, died Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010, at her daughter’s home in Vernon, Ala. after a lengthy illness. She was born March 18, 1940, in Hardin County, Tenn. to Archie and Louella Strickland. She was a member of Brewer Baptist Church and had retired from Food World as an office clerk. An avid sports fan, she and her husband had seen 25 of the 30 SEC Basketball Tournaments. She also loved following the Tennessee Volunteers and the Dallas Cowboys. She loved traveling and had traveled throughout the world. She loved tending to her flowers, feeding the birds and taking care of the needs of her family and friends. She was an exceptional cook and enjoyed cooking for those in her church and community.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Brewer Baptist Church with Keith Wiseman and Bro. Jimmy Horton officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her husband, Ken Steele of Verona; one daughter, Teresa (Eugene) Hulen of Vernon, Ala.; three stepdaughters, Tammie (Chris) Williams, Sharon (Allen) Williams, both of Lexington, Ala. and Karen (James) Williams of Florence, Ala.; two grandchildren, Amy Kylus of Crofton, Md. and Danielle (Matthew) Weathers of Millport, Ala.; three step grandchildren, Whitney Williams, Jared Williams and Brady Williams; two great-grandchildren, Christopher Kylus and Kaitlyn Kylus; her aunt, Lucille Pickens; and a special friend, Ann Fuller.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Sandra Waters; one brother, Pete Strickland; and three infant sisters.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Lindsey, Eddie McPherson, Stanley Stevens, Lomax Fuller, Terry Simons and R.L. Qualls.

RIPLEY – Jimmie B. “Buddy” Rutherford, 81, died Sunday, Nov. 21, 2010, at his home in Ripley. He was born Jan. 27, 1929, to James Onnie Rutherford and Bessie Pearl Harrison.He was retired from American Biltrite after 30 years of service. He was a member of Ripley Masonic Lodge #47, Eastern Star and American Legion. He was also a member of Mt. Zion Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Ripley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Richie Lockhart officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Ripley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by one son, Phil Rutherford (Sherry) of Ripley; two grandchildren, Cody Rutherford (Cindy) and Cole Rutherford (Allison), both of Ripley; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy L. James Rutherford; his parents; three sisters, Ruby Carter, Hermie Norton and Frankie Stephenson; and five brothers, Cecil, Ancel, Lemon, Speck and Herman Rutherford.
Pallbearers will be Vaughn Sexton, Elmer Childers, Petie Rutherford, Cody Rutherford, Cole Rutherford and Jimmy Carter.
