ROCKSVILLE, Ill. – Minister Jimmy J. Wright, 58, died Thursday, Nov. 18, 2010, at his home.

STARKVILLE – Mary Sue Hill, 90, died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010. She was a faithful wife, mother and grandmother. She was a wonderful cook and a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church, where she was active in the Wesley Sunday School Class.
Services will be at 11a.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church in Starkville. The Rev. William E. Harrison and the Rev. Prentiss M. Gordon Sr. will officiate. Burial will follow at a private graveside service in Hackleburg, Ala. Welch Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
She is survived by two sons, James E. Hill Jr. (Susan) of Odenville, Ala., and John S. Hill (Emily) of Tupelo; and five grandchildren, Elizabeth Hill, James Hill (Candice), Anna Kathryn Hill, Marilyn Hill and Jack Hill; and a sister, Alice Owens (Lester) of Titusville, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, James E. “Red” Hill Sr.
Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church.

BLUE SPRINGS – Vicky Bramlett, 57, died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was born Sept. 22, 1953, in San Diego, Calif., to Gene Hare and Jamie McDonald. She was the owner of the Bramlett’s Peter Cottontail Child Care in Tupelo. She was a member of the Christ Community Church in New Albany.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the United Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. John Snyder officiating. Burial will be in the New Harmony Cemetery. United Funeral Service in New Albany is in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her husband, Don Allen Bramlett of Blue Springs; four brothers, Larry Joyner (Carol) of Olive Branch, Ricky Hare (Katrina) of Memphis, Karl Hare (Nickie) of Mobile, Ala., and Eric Hare of Columbia, S.C.; a special uncle, K.D. Hare of South Carolina; and brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Lynda Bramlett of Blue Springs.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Kyle Hare.
Pallbearers will be Jamie Joyner, Henry Sprouse, Jerry Bramlett, Adam Joyner, Robbie Rowland and Scott Duley.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. till 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

CORINTH – Robert E. Thomas, 75, died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010, at the Magnolia Regional Health Center. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Patterson Memorial Chapel in Corinth.
RUSSELLVILLE, Ala. – Betty Jean Mitchell, 72, died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010, at her residence after a long illness. She was born March 21, 1938, in Double Springs, Ala., to Stevie and Jeanette Bell Smith. She married Julius Wayne Mitchell on May 5, 1956; he preceded her in death in 2009. She lived in Zion, Ill., from 1959 until 1994. She retired from Cherry Electric Co. in Waukegan, Ill., in 1994 and moved to Russellville, Ala., where she resided until her death. She was passionate about her gardening, canning, cooking, sewing and spending time on her porch with family and friends. She was a Christian, a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend who was an inspiration to all.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Red Bay, Ala., with Bro. A.G. Stepp officiating. Burial will be in Burnout Cemetery at Vina, Ala. Deaton Funeral Home of Red Bay is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors are five children, Brenda Gunter (Philip) of Tupelo, Anthony Mitchell of Russellville, Ala., Jeri Reasor (Leo) and Saretha Watts (Stuart Bowler), all of Zion, Ill., and Donna Mitchell Goggans (Brandon) of Russellville, Ala.; three sisters, Loni Mae Abbott of Houston, Ala., Jewel Perry and Christine Worsham, both of Texas; 12 granddaughters, eight great-grandsons, five great-granddaughters, and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Goggans, Jason Brannon and Alex Higgins.

IUKA – Rosemary Clark Cross, 91, died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010, at Southern Magnolia Estates. She was a longtime and oldest member of the Iuka Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and exercising and staying fit.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Iuka United Methodist Church with the Rev. J.B. Burns and the Rev. Jon Kaufman officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include three sons, Roger Clark (Nita) of Gulfport, Richard Clark (Cheryl) of Iuka and Stanton Clark (Linda) of Iuka; one daughter, Teresa Clark of Iuka; one sister, June Malish of Venice, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Tammy Franklin (Bill), Bruce Clark, Heather Crosby (Bill), Miller Baugh, Nathaniel Clark (Nikki), Kyle Clark (Robin) and Kirk Clark (Jennifer); and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, J.O. “Click” Clark and Thomas Cross; her parents, Oscar and Betty Travis; two sisters, Mae Crosby and Lois Davis; two brothers, Buster and Greenlee Travis; and seven other brothers and sisters who died in infancy and youth.
Pallbearers will be Nathaniel Clark, Bruce Clark, Kyle Clark, Kirk Clark, Bill Crosby, Tanner Brumfield, and Charley Kent. Honorary pallbearers will be David Bakely, Pam Bakely, Jim Weiser, Monica Weiser, Harold Lomenick, Tony Gaines, Bobby Gist, Joe Hussey, Pat Gurno, Estelle Lomenick and Ruth Rutledge.

HERNANDO – Walter Trantina, 79, died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Desoto in Southaven. He was born Aug 1, 1931, in St. Louis, Mo., to Walter J. and Ann Trantina. He worked as a design engineer for Day-Brite Lighting Company. He proudly served in the Navy during the Korean War. He greatly enjoyed spending time with his family and working with his horses.
Graveside services with military honors will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Lee Memorial Park with Robert Clark officiating. Visitation will be private for the family.
Survivors include his wife of over 30 years, Willie Trantina; one son, Dave Trantina of St. Louis; four daughters, Linda Purcell (Brad) of St. Louis, Lori Burroughs (Tim) of Troy, Mo., Dawn Knapp of St. Louis and Debbie Williams (Bruce) of Shannon; one sister, Rita Kalin of St. Louis; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Marie McMurray.

WEST POINT – Myrtle Langley Rutherford, 88, died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in West Point. Mrs. Rutherford was born on Oct. 5, 1922, to Frank and Ella Alford Langley of Thorn.

Survivors include her husband, Bob Rutherford of West Point; sisters, Evelyn Miller and Annie Applewhite, both of West Point; a stepdaughter, Bobbie Hadley of Alpharetta, Ga.; and special nieces Betty McCoy and Jewell Cartwright.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters and three brothers.

HOUSTON – Laura Dolores Kline, 58, died Monday, Nov. 22, 2010, at her residence. She was born Dec. 14, 1951, in Jackson County to Milton Miles and Laura Echoff Miles. She attended Thorn Church of God in Thorn.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Houston with Bro. Arnold Amason officiating. Houston Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
She is survived by three daughters, Alesa Kline of Hurley, Christina Erzar of Cabott, Ark., and Latisha Harrison of Ocean Springs.
She was preceded death by her mother, Laura Echoff, and a sister, Lilly Daphine.
