BOONEVILLE – Lenard T. Reece, 67, died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, at his home. He was born Feb. 8, 1945, in Booneville. He was a self-employed mechanic, and he was a Baptist. He enjoyed hunting.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Booneville Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Garry Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in Sumner’s Chapel Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Ivy Reece, whom he married on Dec. 20, 1965; a daughter, Sheri Glenn (Craig) of Marietta; his mother, Ethel Reece of Marietta; a brother, Tommy Reece (Shirley) of Marietta; a sister, Sue Tennison (Dude) of Marietta; and an uncle, Earl Stone of Guntown.
He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Reece; his father, Bert Reece; a sister, Thelma Owens; and his father-in-law, Frank Ivy.
Pallbearers are Jeff Reece, Dustin Norris, Jordan Reed, Brandon Lambert, Ethan Reece and David Reece.
BOONEVILLE – Randle J.W. Barron, 79, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2012, at Longwood Community Living Center in Booneville. He was born Feb. 3, 1933, in Cherokee, Ala. He was an appliance repairman, logger and mechanic. He enjoyed gardening and tinkering.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Booneville Funeral Home with Bro. Pete McCoy officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery.
He is survived by two sons, Randy E. Barron of Marietta and Anthony Ray Barron (Tony) of N.C.; three daughters, Angie Hallenbeck (Roy), Julie Cartwright and Tommie Faith Barron, all of Booneville; a brother, Grandle Barron (Barbara) of Southaven; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Johnnie Barron, on Feb. 28, 2008; his parents, James Baxter Barron and Annie Laura Aldridge Barron; two brothers, Melvin Barron and James Barron; and a sister, Audrey Vanzandt.
Pallbearers are Jerry Pharr, Walt Roe, Ricky Chittom, Steven Estes and Jamie Nanney.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Thursday.

IUKA – Joseph W. O’Neill Sr., 79, died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth.

IUKA – David Edward Gist, 18, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, in Iuka as the result of an automobile accident. He loved hunting and fishing, and he enjoyed mud riding. He was an avid Mississippi State Bulldogs fan.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Glen. Interment will follow in South Crossroads Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Glen is in charge of the arrangements.
He is survived by his father, Raymond Gist of Iuka; his mother, Sandra Gist of Iuka; his grandparents, Steve and Shirley Grimes of Iuka, Raymond Gist Sr. (Peggy) of Floral City, Fla., and Terry and Sharen Johnson of Iuka; his great-grandmother, Gaye Grimes of Iuka; his fiancée, Katelynn Seiber of Iuka; one brother, Raymond Charles Gist of Iuka; and a special aunt and uncle, Carolyn and Jerry Wilemon of Burnsville.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Orville Grimes, Minnie and Pony Bullard, Olla and Ellen Gist, and Charles and Frankie Steele; and an uncle, Phillip Grimes.
Pallbearers include Matthew Walker, Edgar Osoro, Perry Grimes, Zach Waddell, Clint Smith and Charles Gist. Honorary pallbearers include Brian Glover and Mark Price.

WEST POINT – Marcelle Odell Camp Duncan, 88, passed away on Monday, Nov. 26, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center in West Point. She was born Dec. 14, 1923, in Monroe County to Gladys Irene Riley Camp and Daniel Anderson Camp. She was a seamstress for Knickerbocker and Big Yank for 40 years. She was a member of Siloam Baptist Church. She married Raymon Edward Duncan on Sept. 11, 1945, in Monroe County. He preceded her in death on April 25, 2001.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Payton Myers officiating and the Rev. Doran Henry assisting. Burial will follow in Memorial Garden Cemetery at West Point. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her one daughter, Carolyn Johnson of Montgomery, Ala.; one son, David Duncan (Ancie) of West Point; four grandchildren; Marcie Pratt (Jeff), Leigh Ann Morgan (Barry), Bruce Johnson (Michelle) and Lisa Uhl (Matt); eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Murlene Camp Gable of West Point; and two brothers, Winston Camp (Hazel) and James Camp (Laveda), all of West Point.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; sister, Olene Camp; and brother, Durelle Camp.

SHERMAN – Kerry Rena Seawright, 34, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2012, at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. She was a former employee of Tupelo Buffalo Park. She enjoyed spending time with her family and children and taking care of her cat. Frisky. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding, the outdoors and helping others.

Survivors include her husband, Chris Seawright; sons, Joey Pace and Josh Pace; and daughter, Amanda Pace, all of Sherman; her mother, Linda Coker (Pat) of Mt. Vernon; her father, Don Stanley (Shirley) of Saltillo; brother, Jeremy Stanley (Kristal) of Saltillo; stepbrothers, Corey Coker (Melissa) and Craig Wilson of Saltillo; stepsister, Candy Wilson of Saltillo; nephews, Brycen Stanley, Corson Coker, Brandon Cooley and Logan Corwile; nieces, Harlee Rock and Ella Grace Coker, all of Saltillo; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, John Henry and Dovie Floyd, and Joseph and Faye Stanley.

OXFORD – Elizabeth Cummings Fortune, 89, died Oct. 31, 2012, at Hospice Atlanta. She was born in Ware Shoals, S.C., and grew up in High Point, N.C. She graduated from the Woman’s College of the University of North Carolina. She was first lady and hostess of the University of Mississippi during her husband’s 16-year tenure as chancellor. She endowed the Fortune Gallery of the University of Mississippi Museum and Historic Houses. She was a member of Oxford-University United Methodist Church for 44 years. In Atlanta, she attended Peachtree Road United Methodist Church.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Oxford-University United Methodist Church with the Rev. Warren Black, the Rev. Claire Dobbs and the Rev. Lavelle Woodrick officiating. A reception will follow in Wesley Hall. Burial will be in Oxford Memorial Cemetery. Waller Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
She is survived by twosons, Philip Lee Fortune and Carey Fortune; her daughter, Jean Fortune Kaplan; seven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Porter Lee Fortune Jr., and her daughter, Janet Cummings Fortune.

CORINTH – Bill McGaughy, 75, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2012, at his home after a long illness. He was born Aug. 27, 1937, in Prentiss County to Lester and Gladys Chase McGaughy. At age 14 and after the death of his father, he went to work for a company in Chicago but was later transferred to California. In 1964 he moved back to Corinth and started to work for Tyrone Hydraulics. He worked at many management positions until his retirement in 1995. After retirement, he and his wife, Betty, owned and managed Tel-Eye International and several small loan companies. He was a member of Church of the Crossroads in Corinth. His greatest enjoyment in life was the times spent with his family. His favorite hobby was talking care of his farm and his property.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Church of the Crossroads with Bro. Eddie McFalls and Bro. Nelson Hight officiating. Merl Sanders will deliver the eulogy. Burial will follow in the Henry Cemetery. Memorial Funeral Home of Corinth is in charge of the arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Betty McMeans McGaughy of Corinth; a son, Tim (Kim) McGaughy of Booneville; daughters, Angella (Tim) Hilbun of Vicksburg, Michelle Frazier of Corinth and Charlotte (Eddie) Sax; a brother, Donald (Dorothy) McGaughy of Corinth; his grandchildren, Blake Frazier, Shira and Ariel Sax, Kelsey Stacy, T.J. (Katie) McGaughy; his great-granddaughter, Lylah Grey McGaughy; a son-in-law, Kendall Frazier; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Donnie Wolf.

RIPLEY – Willie Ellawease Rutherford Barkley, 79, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2012, at Rest Haven Nursing Home in Ripley. She was born May 2, 1933, to James Benton and Addie Mae Ketchum Rutherford. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and a factory worker.
