Teddy Jordan
MYRTLE – Teddy B. Jordan, 63, died Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2011, at his home in Myrtle. He was born Nov. 19, 1947, in New Albany to Harmon Edward and May Evelyn “Sis” Gresham Jordan. He was a retired truck driver. He was a member of the NRA and an avid gun and knife collector. He was a member of Old Oak Grove Baptist Church and the Amos Dorman Masonic Lodge 480 in Myrtle.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Old Oak Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Butler officiating. Burial will be in Old Oak Grove Cemetery. United Funeral Service of New Albany is in charge of the arrangements.
He is survived by his parents, Harmon Jordan and Sis Jordan of Myrtle; two sons, Mark Jordan (Mauri) and Jason Jordan, both of Myrtle; a brother, Doug Jordan (Mary) of New Albany; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Vickie Jordan Brown, and a grandson, Hunter Neal Jordan.
Pallbearers will be Heath Gray, Matthew Jordan, Rusty Jordan, Michael Harris, Currie Lavelle and Billy Yager. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Simmons, Mark Roberson and Ronnie Jernigan.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at United Funeral Service. The body will lie in state at Old Oak Grove Baptist Church from 1 p.m. to service time Saturday.

HAMMOND, Ind. – Belle Spencer, 91, died Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, in Hammond, Ind. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Belle Memorial Funeral Home of Bruce.

Hazel Shelby
ASHLAND – Hazel Marie Campbell Shelby, 84, died Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2011, at the Tippah County Hospital Nursing Home in Ripley. She was born Jan. 20, 1927, in Grant, Ala., to Arble J. and Ola Mae Elkins Campbell. She was retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Ashland.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Ashland with Bro. Brad Hill officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. McBride Funeral Home of Ripley is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include two daughters, Janie M. Hutson and Jean B. Zorzoli, both of Ashland; two brothers, Billy t. Davis of Eads, Tenn., and Bobby A. Davis of Albertville, Ala.; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Milton Shelby; her parents; one daughter, Joan D. Helms; and one brother, Sherman Campbell.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Johnson, Tommy Cook, Shelby Singleton, Jeff Huddleston, Ricky Davis and Dale Singleton.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 7 to 10 a.m. Saturday, and from noon to service time Saturday at the church.

J.D. Knight
GREENWOOD SPRINGS – J.D. Knight, 88, died Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2011, at the Oak Tree Plantation Assisted Living in Amory. He was born in Lamar County, Ala., to Thomas B.M. Knight and Daisy Gilliland Knight. He attended Wesley Chapel Methodist Church in Detroit, Ala. He was the co-owner of the Knight Brothers Sawmill. He loved farming, especially raising cattle, and driving his tractor. He and his wife, Doris, were married for 62 years and lived in the Splunge community all their lives.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Norwood Funeral Home Chapel in Sulligent, Ala. Bro. Tim Markham will officiate. Burial will be in Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Kathy (John) Priddy and Carol (Ray) Thompson, both of Sulligent, Ala.; one son, Dwight (Lori) Knight of Detroit, Ala.; six grandchildren, Melanie Thompson, Eric Priddy, Toby Thompson, Pamela Priddy Lovelady (Jamie), Dusty Thompson Webster (Brandon) and Andrea Knight; five great-grandchildren, Jaden Priddy, Garrett Lovelady, and Slade, Colton and Abby Webster; one sister, Kathleen Otts of Detroit, Ala.; two brothers, James Knight of Sulligent, Ala., and E.D. “Shorty” Knight of Detroit, Ala.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Nell Spruiell Knight, and his parents.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Flois Knight, Elmer Knight, Pete Knight and Raymond Knight.

Earven Bradley
TUPELO – Earven Bradley, 63, died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born Oct. 1, 1948, to Willie Lee Bradley and Beatrice Johnson Bradley. He married Shirley Dancy and they had two children, Catory and Tiffani Bradley. He attended New Lebanon M.B. Church. He was a member of the Air Force.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at White Hill M.B. Church with the Rev. Jeffery Daniel officiating. Burial will be in Porter’s Memorial Cemetery. N.L. Jones and Son Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include two sons, Captain Catory (Tyeisha) Bradley of Clarkville, Tenn., and Quintillis (Brandi) Lawrence of Baton Rouge, La.; three daughters, Sandra (Glenn) Isbell of Pontotoc, Nakita (Darrick) Shelby of New Orleans, La., and Tiffani Bradley of Atlanta, Ga.; four brothers; seven sisters; seven grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Bradley, and his parents.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. today at the Eck amp& Georgia Shumpert Memorial Chapel at the funeral home. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to service time.

T. Harold Craig
HOUSTON – Thomas Harold Craig, 80, died Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011, in Houston. He was born Feb. 16, 1931, in Houston to Thomas Adam Craig and Nancy Kyle Craig. He was a graduate of Houston High School and acquired his Masters Degree in Accounting from the University of Mississippi. He was a retired CPA with 35 years at his own firm. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and a U.S. Army veteran. He was one of the charter members of the Chickasaw Development Foundation. He loved farming.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Houston Funeral Home in Houston with Rev. Larry Patrick officiating. Burial will follow at Houston Cemetery in Houston.
Survivors include his wife, Joann Ray Craig of Houston; his daughters, Karen Craig of Houston, Texas, Rayann and Craig Dukes of Florence, Carol and Tom Byrne of Houston, Miss.; his son, Hal and Sherry Craig of Houston, Miss.; his grandchildren, Wil, Wes and Zoe Craig, Jordan, Reagan, Cameron, Brennan and Tab Byrne of Houston, Miss., and Katelyn and Carter Dukes of Florence; his nieces, Amiee Runnels and Anne Wilson; and his nephew, Jim Sparks.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Marie Sparks.
Pallbearers are Chuck Carson, Glenn Gann, Frank Alford, Ricky Allen, Bobby Mooneyham, Brad Smith and Gary Allen.
Honorary pallbearers are Bill Smith, Bob Scott and Deedy Harrington.

WEST POINT – Lois Jean Smith, 75, died Monday, Oct. 10, 2011, at her home.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Young Cemetery in Aberdeen. Carter’s Mortuary Services of West Point is in charge of the arrangements.

Gerald Naugle
HOULKA – Gerald Curtis Naugle, 47, died Sunday, Oct. 9, 2011, at his grandmother’s home in Houlka. A native of Houlka, he was the son of Willie and Bobbie Naugle. He was a member of Macedonia M.B. Church and Sanctuary Masonic Lodge 143. He was a disabled truck driver an a U.S. Army veteran. He loved driving trucks, riding horses, horse shows and rodeos.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Thompson Chapel CME Church in Houlka. Elder Glenn Huggins will officiate. Burial will be in East County Line Cemetery. Kenneth I. Roberson Funeral Home of Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, April Naugle of Indianola; one daughter, Porsche’ Naugle of Indianola; two sons, Jeremy Naugle of Houlka and Gerald Naugle Jr. of Indianola; his parents, Willie C. and Bobbie Naugle of Indianapolis, Ind.; four sisters, Tamatha Rush, Ronda (Brian) Smith, Shawnya (Lyles) Wooden and Tonya Naugle, all of Indianapolis, Ind.; and his grandmother , Odell “Momma Dell” Buggs of Houlka.
Visitation will be from 1:30 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Carolyn Dantzler
OKOLONA – Carolyn Isbell Dantzler, 48, died Sunday, Oct. 9, 2011, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born June 10, 1963, to J.R. Isbell Sr. and Mary Williams Isbell. She was a 1981 graduate of Okolona High School, and she attended Jackson State University. She was a dietitian for the North Mississippi Medical Center, Holmes County School System and Okolona High School. She enjoyed preparing food, sports and watching soap operas.
Services will be at noon Saturday at Clark Chapel with the Rev. Lendell Nichols officiating. Williams Memorial of Okolona is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include three daughters, Tameka Isbell, Shameka Isbell and Cynthia Isbell, all of Okolona; two stepsons, Rico Dantzler and Nico Dantzler of Oxford; four sisters, Dorothy Isbell, and Vera Isbell of Okolona, Cora Flemons (John) of Pontotoc and Cindy Martin (Gary) of Decatur, Ala.; one brother, J.R. Isbell Jr. of Okolona; two grandchildren, Jerrian and Jaiden.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Larry Dantzler.
Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Nadine Carpenter
BALDWYN – Nadine Carpenter, 87, died Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011, at Baldwyn Nursing Facility. She was a Baptist and a retired waitress. She enjoyed crafts and spending time with friends.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Waters Funeral Home with Bro. Lamar Davis and James Strange officiating. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery.
Survivors include three daughters, Joan Kelton (Danny), Booneville, Sandra Davis (Lamar) of Booneville and Ann Oswalt of Baldwyn; a son, Frank Gambill (Connie) of Booneville; two sisters, Louise Thompson of Wisconsin and Grace Lee of Texas; a sister-in-law, Annie Ree Gamble of Arkansas; 14 grandchildren, a number of great- and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Alta Gamble; her husbands, Cecil Harrelson and Edward Gambill; a son-in-law, Jimmy Oswalt; a grandson, Jeff Oswalt; and several brothers and sisters.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today.

NESBIT – Mary K. Russell Simpson, 93, formerly of New Albany, died Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011, at Desoto Central Hospital in Southaven. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by United Funeral Service of New Albany.

NEW ALBANY – Michael “Mike” Wayne Hamblin 47, died Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2011, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was a carpenter and a Baptist. An avid hunter and fisherman, he loved his guns and cooking out.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Waters Funeral Home in Baldwyn with Bro. Johnny Hamblin officiating.
Survivors include his wife, Lynn Hamblin of New Albany; a daughter, Sammie Lee Easterling of Baldwyn; three brothers, Charlie Hamblin and Roger Hamblin of Baldwyn, and Rickey Hamblin; a sister, Shelia Hamblin of Iuka; grandchildren, Braden Hamm, Bricen Hamm, Raining Hamm, Rodney Joe Hamm, Nicholas James Hamm and Hedi Loyd; a number of nieces and nephews; and a special friend; Tommy Wilburn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Gene and Nettie Hamblin, and a sister Donna Hamblin.

TUPELO – Mary Lee McCoy, 63, died Tuesday, Oct. 11,2011, at her residence in Tupelo. She was born April 13, 1948, to Jessie Henry and Malvoelar Johnson McCoy. She was a member of Bethel C.M.E. Church in Guntown. She retired from the Sleep Inn Hotel.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bethel C. M. E. Church in Guntown with Rev. Charles McGaughy officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Agnew amp& Sons Funeral Home of Verona is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include two daughters, Seletha McCoy of Horn Lake and Angela McCoy of Tupelo; five sons, Derrick McCoy (Trena) of Okolona, Erick McCoy (Lisa) of Prairie, Joseph McCoy (Christine), Marcus McCoy (Sonya) and Kelvin McCoy, all of Tupelo; three sisters, Ann Simmons of Harvey, Ill., Mary Brooks of Tupelo and Mary Bronson of Shannon; three brothers, Cecil McCoy of Harvey, Ill., Bobby McCoy (Jean) of Chicago and Robert McCoy (Betty) of Saltillo; 28 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; one aunt, Clara Johnson of Tupelo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, William, Jeff, James, Jessie Jr. and J.W. McCoy; and one sister, Lois McCoy.
Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. today with a family hour from 5 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to service time.
