Raymond Sandlin
CAROLINA – Raymond Sandlin, 75, of the Carolina community in Itawamba County, passed away Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
Services will be at noon today at Otts Funeral Home Chapel in Sulligent, Ala. Burial will be in Sandlin Cemetery.

TUPELO – Annie Lou Morris, 79, died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at Darlington Oaks Community Hospice House in Verona. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Agnew & Sons Funeral Home of Verona.

ABERDEEN – Annie B. Daniels, 72, died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012, at her home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ebernezer M.B. Church with the Rev. Willie Mack Payne officiating. Burial will be in Ebernezer Church Cemetery. Belle Memorial Funeral Home of Aberdeen is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her husband, S.D. Daniels; six sons, Essie D. Daniels (Bular), Willie D. Daniels (Mary Ann), John Daniels (Georgia), James Daniels, Billy Daniels (Jessica) and Lance Daniels (Trina), all of Aberdeen; six daughters, Johnnie Daniels (Aberdeen), Hearn Mabry (Helen) of Nettleton, Annie Griffin (David), Willie Ann Howard (Tim), Diane Orr (Henry) of Una and Patricia Candy of Aberdeen; one sister, Sylvia Jones of Grenada; 53 grandchildren; and 43 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

John Leeson III
SOUTHAVEN – John T. Leeson III, 83, died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012. He was retired from The Gideons International.
He is survived by his wife, Lynda Gail Leeson; seven children; 24 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of his life will be at 7 p.m. Nov. 15 at Broadway Baptist Church in Southaven.

MOOREVILLE – James Luther Streetman, 68, died Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo after a long illness. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Nettleton.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Willis Gregory
NEW ALBANY – Willis “Bub” Augusta Gregory, 72, died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012, at his residence. He was born July 28, 1940, in Union County to Alvie “Stem” and Gladys Whitehead Gregory. He was a cattleman.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at United Funeral Service in New Albany with the Rev. Larry Harrison officiating. Burial will be in Glenfield Memorial Park. United Funeral Service of New Albany is in charge of the arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Bryant Gregory; four daughters, Felicia Livingston (Mark), Janet Brower (Robert), Deborah Hall (Ronnie) and Tina Wood (Joey); three sons, Will Gregory, Jason Gregory and Alan Coltharp; two sisters, Pat Washington (John) and Shelby Bagwell (Thomas); two brothers, Bobby Gregory (Ann) and Wilburn Gregory; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jason Gregory, Terry Elliott, David Johnson, Beau Jumper, Brentley Gregory, Gary Gregory, Anthony Bagwell and Alan Coltharp. Honorary pallbearers will be his fellow cattle buyers.

RAMER, Tenn. – Betty Lou Holland Burns Wade, 93, died Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, at her home in Ramer, Tenn.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Rest M.B. Church. Burial will be in Adams Chapel Community Cemetery. Patterson Memorial Funeral Home of Corinth is in charge of the arrangements.
The family hour will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
George Smith
MOOREVILLE – George Harold Smith, 77, died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born July 16, 1935, in Pontotoc to James Marshall and Maude Miller Smith. He loved to fish and was an avid NASCAR fan, motorcycle enthusiast and Florida Gators fan.
Services will be at 5 p.m. today at Saltillo Chapel of W.E. Pegues with the Rev. Jack Ezell officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors will be in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include five daughters, Georgie Floyd of Booneville, Dazzie Fowler of Tupelo, Susan Baker of Pontotoc, Amanda Camp (Neil) of Tupelo and Elizabeth Stanford of Tupelo; two sons, Jerry Dean Smith (Kay) of Guntown and Rocky Smith of Haines City, Fla.; several grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Nancy Carol and Debbie Smith; one son, Terry Smith; one sister, Geneva Lyle; and two brothers, Harvey and Golie Smith.
Pallbearers will be Cory Ford, Blake Witherspoon, Neil Camp, Christian Witherspoon, Brandon Reed and Nathan Hester.

SARASOTA, Fla. – Linda Catherine Miller Painter, 65, died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at University of Florida/Shands Hospital in Gainsville, Fla., after an extended illness. She was born May 17, 1947, to William Leroy and Jewel Catherine Miller of Tupelo. She worked in real estate sales and condo management in Florida.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Painter of Sarasota, Fla.; two daughters, Christy of Sarasota and Cheryl Pearce Odom of Atlanta, Ga.; one son, John Stuart Greene III (Becky) of Sheridan, Ark.; three grandchildren; her mother, Jewel Miller of Tupelo; three brothers, Morris Miller (Norma) of Tupelo, Kenneth Miller (Mary Ann) of New Albany and Myron Miller (Anita) of Mooreville; and a special friend (sister), Pamela Pyros (John) of Sarasota, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her father, William Leroy Miller.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Sarasota, Fla.

PIPERTON, Tenn. – Billy Tramel Harrell, 79, formerly of Tippah County, died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto in Memphis.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Falkner Cemetery in Falkner. McBride Funeral Home of Ripley is in charge of the arrangements.
