Irma Wilkins
Irma Lee McCullough Wilkins died Friday, June 22, 2012, after an extended illness.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 25, 2012, at 2 p.m. at the Brooksville Cemetery in Brooksville. Cockrell Funeral Home of Macon is entrusted with the arrangement
Mrs. Wilkins was born in Lee County on Sept. 13, 1914. The daughter of the late Charles Lee McCullough and Sadie Wilson McCullough, she graduated from Verona High School and Memphis Business School. She married Joseph Tyson Wilkins Jr. of Brooksville and they made their home in New Albany.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church of New Albany and was church secretary for several years. She retired from the Department of Human Services of Mississippi after 16 years of service.
Mrs. Wilkins was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Tyson Wilkins Jr.; two sisters, Lucille M. McFarling and Alice M. Stevens; a brother, James Merle McCullough; and a nephew, James Bryce McFarling.
She is survived by a son, Joseph Tyson Wilkins III and his wife, Anne, of Jackson; three grandchildren, Allison Wilkins Alford (Patrick) of Raleigh, N.C., Joseph Tyson Wilkins IV, of Birmingham, Ala., and Emily Holland Wilkins of Oxford; and a great-granddaughter, Shelby Anne Alford of Raleigh, N.C. She is also survived by her beloved sister, Syvera McCullough of Corinth; and her niece, Bobbie McFarling of Huntsville, Ala.; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank her friend and caregiver in New Albany, Mrs. Maurice Spears. For the past year, Mrs. Wilkins had been a resident at The Arbor in Ridgeland, and the family wishes to thank all of the aides and nurses for their care and attention.

Minister Lenn Woodhouse
TUPELO – Minister Leonard “Lenn” Woodhouse, 43, died Tuesday, June 19, 2012, in Tupelo. He was born June 9, 1969, to Ethel “Baby Dee” Wise Eubanks and the late Lee Andrew “L.A.” Woodhouse. He was a 1987 graduate of Okolona High School. He was a member of Upper Prairie Creek M.B. Church and an employee of Aircap/MTD.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today at the Ebernezer M.B. Church with the Rev. Gerald Vallant officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Williams Memorial Funeral Home of Okolona is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Janet Woodhouse of Houston; his mother, Ethel Baby Dee (Willie) Eubanks of Tupelo; stepmother, Lois Woodhouse of Prairie; two sons, Charmane (Haley) of Springfield, Mo., and Jordon Woodhouse of Houston; two sisters, Tracy Poe (James) of Aberdeen and Tina Eubanks of Verona; two brothers, Clay Harrison (Faye) of Lawrenceville, Ga., and Willie Eubanks of Aberdeen.
Joe Turner
SALTILLO – Joe Albert Turner, 73, died Thursday, June 21, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born June 3, 1939, in Tippah County to James Virtis and Annie H. Windham Turner. He worked many years at Piper Industries and retired after many years of service from Columbian Rope Company in Guntown.
Services will be 3:30 p.m. Sunday at The Saltillo Chapel of W.E. Pegues with the Rev. Bud Wheatley and the Rev. Jerry Davis officiating. Burial will be in Tupelo Memorial Park.
Survivors include his wife, Laura O. Turner of Saltillo; his daughter, Diane Owens of Belden; two sisters, Jeanette Beaty (Rickey) and Joan Holmes, both of Ripley; two brothers, Lee Turner of Saltillo and James Turner of Falkner; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Rose; his parents; two sisters, Jenice and Jolane Turner; and his nephew, David Turner.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, nephews, brother-in-law and his friends.

Wilma Hill
NEW ALBANY – Wilma Hays Speck Hill, 85, died Thursday, June 21, 2012, at Magnolia Personal Care Home in New Albany. She was born June 11, 1927, to Ossie and Caroline Hitt Speck. She was retired from Mohasco and was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church.
Services will be 11 a.m. today at United Funeral Service with the Rev. Jimmy Porter and the Rev. Don Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. United Funeral Service of New Albany is in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by a daughter, Rita Ligon (Wayne); two sons, Larry Hill (Anita) and Kenneth Hill (Linda); seven grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy H. Hill; her parents; two sisters, Loyce Thompson and Joyce Colvin; and a great-grandson, Patrick Hill.
Pallbearers will be Brad Hill, Michael Hill, Jonathan Hill, Andrew Hill, Barry Ligon and Jarred Ligon.

NEW ALBANY – Kathryn Ferrell Ausborn, 87, died Friday, June 22, 2012, at Magnolia Place of New Albany Personal Care Home. She was born in Etta on June 11, 1925, to Johnnie Fletcher and Thelma Lorine Phillips Ferrell. She was a member of South Green Baptist Church in Tupelo. She worked in banking for over 50 years. She enjoyed her home, yard and especially “working.”
Services will be 4 p.m. today at Philadelphia Baptist Church with the Rev. Bobby Irvin officiating. Burial will be in Philadelphia Cemetery. W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her sister, Bonnie Ferrell Clark (Frank Neil) of Poway, Calif.; her brother, Eddie Ferrell of Etta; two stepsisters, Nancy Dewbre (Bill) of New Albany and Sara Ramsey (Roy) of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; her stepbrother, John Bonds of Memphis; and several nieces, nephews and numerous cousins.

NEW ALBANY – Bettie Riddle, 72, died Thursday, June 14, 2012, at Golden Living Center in Tupelo. She was born April 29, 1940, to Aggie Lee Berry Riddle and David Riddle in Tippah County. A missionary and ordained elder, she pastored Outreach Ministries in the 1990s. She was a great gospel singer.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel in New Albany. Burial will be in Mosley Chapel Cemetery.
Survivors include five siblings, James (Pauline) Riddle, Sammie (Evon) Riddle, Mary Foster and Daisey (Andrew) Rutherford, all of New Albany, and Jessie (Dorothy) Riddle of Racine, Wis.; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Hoyle Lambert
BOONEVILLE – Guy Hoyle Lambert, 66, died Thursday, June 21, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born Sept. 15, 1945, to Millage and Eura Bain Lambert. He was a graduate of Thrasher High School. He worked for Walden Grocery Store for many years and also for the Booneville Fire Department for 27 years, retiring as a captain. He was a member of the First Pentecostal Church. He enjoyed deer hunting, mowing and loving everybody.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Russell Lormand, Bro. Jerry Wallace, Bro. Larry Hill, Bro. Pete Cervantes, Bro. William Lambert and Bro. William Burcham officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Betty Ricketts Lambert; a daughter, Darlisa Lambert of Booneville; two sisters, Betty Jo Coss (Ken Ford) of Long Beach and Brenda Cartwright of Booneville; four brothers, Billy Dean (Bobbie) Lambert of Oakland, Tenn., Tulon (Jimmie Ann) Lambert, Ricky (Sherry) Lambert and Randy (Cindy) Lambert, all of Booneville; two aunts, Katie Lou Morgan and Pauline Laster, both of Booneville; three special boys that called him papaw, Kaleb Barnes, Eli Barnes and Maury Billingsley; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

PONTOTOC – Linda Myrl Adams, 68, died Monday, June 18, 2012, at her residence in Ohio. She was born June 15, 1944, in the Toccopola community to Bill Bailey and Zona Myrl Anderson Jones. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother and grandmother.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Baldwin-Nowell Funeral Home Chapel in Pontotoc with Bro. Robert Waddell officiating. Burial will follow in the Springhill Cemetery of Toccopola.
Survivors include three daughters, Anita Campbell (Eric) of Horn Lake, Angela Gillett (Kevin) of Medina, Ohio, and Tammy Lee (Chuck) of Milford, Ohio; two sons, Travis Dewayne Tuneburg (Mindy) of Batavia, Ohio, and George Adams (Marlene) of Milford, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Ricky Lynn Tuneburg; and her sister, Billie Jean Sartin.

SALTILLO – Michael Mihelic, 56, died Thursday, June 21, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center after a brief illness. A Houston native, he was born March 3, 1956, to John Jacob and Louise Freeman Davis Mihelic. He was a machine designer for FMC of Saltillo. He owned his own recording studio and recorded music for such groups as The Foyer Boyz of Tupelo and Senator Bobby Denton of Alabama. He enjoyed golf and spending time with his grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 3:30 p.m. today at Houston Cemetery with Father Bob Dalton officiating. W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors in Saltillo is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Christine Mihelic of Saltillo; one son, John Mihelic (Julie) of Alabaster, Ala.; two grandchildren, Eris and Scarlet Mihelic; one brother, Tony Mihelic of Houston; two sisters, Sandy Porter (Robert) of Tupelo and Donna McMillian of Mantee; and sister-in-law, Martha Jo Mihelic Gann.
