Humane Society of US wasteful

The Humane Society of the United States, which is unaffiliated with any local animal shelter, is a financially wasteful and deceptive organization. It does not operate a single shelter, and gives only 1 percent of its money to local shelters. Fundraising is HSUS’ largest cash cow, and it does so by exploiting both animals and people through false claims. According to Charity Navigator and Charity Watch, HSUS spends almost half of its $200 million annual budget on overhead.

Interestingly enough, it also has approximately $26 million in an offshore Caribbean account. For more information and an in-depth look into the real HSUS, visit HumaneWatch.org. It is truly an eye opener.
