Video Blog: Standout LB visits Ole Miss

Richard McBryde, an four-star outside linebacker from Troy, Alabama, is one of the many prospects that went through drills during Friday’s Elite Football Camp at Ole Miss.

McBryde (6-foot-2, 210 pounds) has a number of offers from schools, including Ole Miss, Auburn, LSU, Miami and Louisville. Last season, McBryde made 163 tackles, with 37.5 going for a loss. He also had 10 sacks. He helped lead Troy to the AHSAA Class 4A state title game last year and McBryde was named Lineman of the Year by the Alabama Sports Writers Association.

McBryde is rated as the 18th-best outside linebacker prospect for the 2015 class by Rivals.com and the No. 11 player in the state, regardless of position, for this year’s class.

Auburn is the school that is the leader, but McBryde made it clear that there wasn’t a verbal pledge just right around the corner either.
