LAMAR HOUSE FRIENDS EVENT
A “Spring Harvest Supper” at Woodson Ridge Farms on Sunday, April 7 will celebrate the launch of Lamar Legacy Friends. From 4:00 to 7:00, guests will enjoy a cocktail hour followed by a dinner featuring spring harvest vegetables fresh off the farm accompanied by musical entertainment. Luke Heiskell, the great-great-great grandson of L.Q.C. Lamar, and his wife Elizabeth, Viking Cooking School lead instructor, are hosting the event. Directions: Hwy 30 to CR 215, left one mile to sign for Woodson Ridge Farms.
Lamar Legacy Friends, a subsidiary of the Oxford-Lafayette County Heritage Foundation, is a volunteer organization that will support the educational mission of the L.Q.C. Lamar House Museum. Tickets for the event are $75/person with all proceeds to build the Lamar Legacy endowment and promote community involvement.
