Press release from Creative Cakes:
Creative Cakes to launch a new store concept
On Tuesday, Creative Cakes announced the launch of a new store concept and an expansion into Downtown Tupelo. Rosie’s Cookies Cakes and Cream will feature all of the treats that have made Creative Cakes Tupelo’s favorite locally owned dessert location since 1991. The menu will feature cookies, cupcakes, cakes, ice cream and other delightful dessert items.
“I wanted to provide my loyal customers with a convenient location that would allow them to enjoy the delicacies that we have been providing through Creative Cakes for over 20 years,” said owner Rose McCoy. “I remember creating memories at Kermit’s Bakery in Downtown Tupelo with my family and I wanted to provide that same type of atmosphere for my customers.”
Rosie’s will prepare the baked goods on sight and will have hand-dipped ice cream and drinks available. “Customers who are looking to satisfy their sweet tooth can pop in for something to go or sit and visit for a while,” McCoy continued. “We want Rosie’s to be a place where people can come and enjoy a freshly made cupcake and catch up with friends or grab something to go for those in a hurry.”
Rosie’s will be open Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Call ahead ordering will be available and the store will have special hours in conjunction with downtown events.
Rosie’s will be opening in the fall of 2012 in the Fairpark Crossing building between Trustmark Bank and Edward Jones Investment.
Creative Cakes will continue to sell custom order cakes at their current location at 1422 East Main Street in Tupelo. Creative Cakes will also continue to carry cake decorating supplies as well as offer classes at its East Main Street location.
Creative Cakes has been in business for 20 years and has 10 employees.
