Sex offender scheduled for sentencing

ABERDEEN, Miss. (AP) β€” A Nov. 1 sentencing date has been set for a man convicted of failing to register as a sex offender.

J.D. Bell was charged with failing to update his registration from February 2011 to September 2011. He allegedly failed to update his registration while moving to and from land belonging to the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians.

Bell, who is 30, was convicted of sexual assault by use of threat or force in 2002.
