She wasn't kidding when she said she wanted good grades
Some of you might have seen this last week, but a mom in Georgia was arrested after she made her son kill his pet hamster as a punishment for bad grades
If that's not bad enough, she made him kill it with a hammer.
Here is the story from the Associated Press.
Is this the wildest punishment you've heard for bad grades? Or does anyone have a story that can top this one?
You seem to think this was punitive.
Everything we do in like has "consequences" attached to them.
Bad grades -> lose the rat ...
Now ... I am not cruel to animals - and I do not encourage my children to be cruel to anything. And, I tend to give the mother the benefit of the doubt.
Bad grades = not taking care of his rat ... both things could have been happening. So what does a parent do with a child who doesn't care?
It is a shame for a mother to have to dole out such discipline anyway. IMO, it would be better coming from a father.
