Aberdeen's Lady Bulldogs (6-0) beat Starkville 64-62 Tuesday night on Regina Barker's driving bucket with 2 seconds to play.

"We knew that they were going to press us, so our main thing was making a great pass. Sommer (Burnett) got the ball, made the pass and basically Regina attacked," said coach Latorrence Bivens.

Kala Williams had just tied the game with 10.1 to play on 1 of 2 free throws. Jameika Hoskins led Aberdeen with 27 points, Burnett had 10. Kala Williams led Starkville (5-1) with 20 points.

Starkville's boys overcame a 35-32 halftime deficit to beat Aberdeen 67-49. Edward Townsel led Starkville (6-0) with 20 points. Anthony McDonald had 13 for the Bulldogs (1-5) in their first game back with the football players in the lineup. Earnest Williams added 10.
