“The bid proposals were well below the estimated project budget; therefore, at this time the Commission would like to add work to the project,” said arena director Todd Hunt. “The project documents will be changed to reflect the additional work and the project will be rebid as soon as possible.”
The renovation will replace the exterior and give fresh paint jobs to much of the building’s interior. The original price tag was $1.8 million.
