WEST POINT — Twenty-five people will lose their jobs when a welded steel tubing production company shuts down April 1 in West Point.

The Daily Times Leader reports that Blazon Tube Co. had 75 employees at one time. It had announced in August of 2011 that it might close and since then 50 employees have left.

The management team of Leggett & Platt announced Wednesday that Blazon Tube would end production April 1. According to a press release, Blazon Tube's operations will consolidate with Leggett & Platt's LaVergne, Tenn., operation.
