COLUMBUS – The Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics today arrested a man after a yearlong investigation into what law enforcement calls “doctor shopping.”

MBN Director Marshall Fisher said Shane A. Bazzell, 30, of Columbus was arrested on a grand jury indictment charging him with four counts of obtaining Adderall, a Schedule II narcotic, by fraud.

Over a nearly two-year period, agents allege that Bazzell saw 13 health care providers and obtained more than 11,000 dosage units of Adderall in Chickasaw, Clay, Lowndes, Pontotoc and Union counties.
