COLUMBUS — A full-time conservator has been named for the Oktibbeha County School District.

The Commercial Dispatch reports Margie Pulley replaces interim conservator Jayne Sargent.

Pulley takes office on Jan. 7.

In September, the state Board of Education declared a state of emergency in the district. The declaration triggered a requirement for a state-appointed conservator to analyze problems in the district and work with state authorities on remedies.
