Corinth’s Manpower Road work to begin soon

CORINTH – The contract to resurface Manpower Road at South Harper Road to accommodate the new Caterpillar expansion was approved by the Alcorn County Board of Supervisors this week.

The bid by TLSL of Walnut was accepted as the lowest and best bid for the project in the amount of $486,483. TLSL was one of six bidders for the project, which included Parson Earthworks, Iuka, bidding $490,604; Pittman Construction, Corinth, $497,061; Rogers Group, Lawrenceburg, Tenn., $515,840; Buddy Ayers Construction, Corinth, $533,603; Rutledge Contractors, Tupelo, $576,494.

The work is expected to begin soon, with completion set at 90 calendar days.
