Billy Lyle Wallace Jr. and 29-year-old Amber Sheree McKenzie were being held Thursday in the Baldwin County jail on $31,000 bond each, charged with manufacturing a controlled substance and other charges, the jail website said.
The Press-Register reports the children were turned over to their grandparents.
Wallace, who attended Mississippi State University, pitched for the U.S. team in the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona, Spain and struck out 14 batters in a win over Italy. The Montreal Expos picked him third in that year's amateur draft. He pitched in the minors from 1993 through 1996, but never made it to the majors.
