Circuit Court Clerk Mary Alice Busby says Weaver has been certified to appear on the Nov. 2 ballot. It's a special election to fill the final year of a four-year term that Weaver started.
The Oxford Eagle reports that 52-year-old Weaver can run again because his case was non-adjudicated, meaning the embezzlement conviction doesn't appear on his record.
Weaver was accused of stealing money from the Mississippi Coroner-Medical Examiners Association while he was the group's president.
He was sentenced to repay $5,000 and serve one year of probation, ending this December.
