(We’re counting down to the first Saturday of college football, now 32 days away)

Here's a good one - which SEC team boasts the best homefield advantage?

Our old friend Phil Steele sees the SEC Eastern Division this way:

Georgia: 5.0-point advantage

South Carolina: 5.0
Tennessee: 4.5
Missouri 4.75
Kentucky 3.75

Vanderbilt 3.0

As USA Today's Jeff Sagarin usually begins this season assuming that a generic team has a 3-point advantage at home, you see that Vandy - 25-41 over the past 10 years at home - appears to have no additional home edge at all. Vandy was 5-2 last fall, however.

Missouri has a sparkling 47-14 record in the past decade as a home team, but the Tigers haven't been inviting four SEC teams to play each fall.

Georgia, 52-11 at home over a decade, is the only SEC East team that's over .500 in each of the past 10 seasons.

We'll take a look at the SEC Western teams on Wednesday.
