Fulton's Collins invited to NCAA Tennis Championship

MEMPHIS – University of Memphis junior Courtney Collins, from Fulton, is the first player from the school to earn an invitation to the NCAA Women’s Tennis Championship.

On Friday, Collins was named to the eight-member All-Conference USA first team for a second consecutive season.

Collins has a 15-3 record in dual meets, including a 4-2 record against other players selected for the NCAA singles championshps She was the first player in the history of the Tigers program to enter the ITA rnakings when she broke in at No. 107 on Feb. 14, 2011. She’s 34th in the latest rankings.

The singles championship will be hosted by the University of Georgia on May 23-28.
